    Hi, i don't know if we can, but the game's faces change a bit from the stock ArmA to the ones in the QG, looking at the ArmA2 videos and screenshots... for some reason the faces look different, more pale or with less colour, but could be a thing of the ATI that they were using or a thing of the new HDR model; anyways, they seem to be closer to the ones in the QG than to those in the stock ArmA, which the difference is really small.     Fast Roping

    Hi, the MI-8 MTV shows a winch over the door, i haven't seen any rigth side S-70B or UH-1Y screenshot, but the fact that they've modeled a winch don't really means that the Fast Rope will be in the game; the Seahawks and Vipers can mount winchs for Fast Rope, Fast Rapell or Fast Recovery, also for drop various divers in a fast way. The thing, the thing is that we don't know if the Fast Rope will be in game, but i personaly think that it won't; it'll require: - Animated fold/unfold winch. - Rope recovery from the chopper (unrealistic) animation or rope dropping. - Ragdoll system for the rope (to make it look good for the customers/players). - Units animation for fast ropping. - Rope model that don't collide with objects and risks the chopper to clipp with 'em. It will at least... require all that if im not wrong; i think that's ask too much to BIS, all that is a hard job that requires time and many beta test in SP as in MP. I don't think that we'll see the Fast Rope pressent in the ArmA2. And the best method for insert the troops in the field is by hovering the chopper at 2 or 3m from the ground and make everyone jump off to ground as you jump 4 by 4 from the chopper, 2 by each side's door. But here... we only have a single enter/exit point from the cargo of any vehicle, so is a lose of time to even think about this kind of things at so few from the release of the game. Let's C ya

    How to make .PAA?

    Hi, for make .paa's i use various programs: PaaTool 1.1, TexView2, AlTexView. I never used any PS plugin for make the .paa's, i first make a .tga (32 bits) with the PS and then i use one of those programs for transforms the .tga into a .paa . The one that i've used the most if not the only one (now for the ArmA) is the TexView2 which can be found in the BIS Official Tools, and i never had much problems... maybe some crashes with really large images, 2048x2048 or bigger ones; but mainly what i use to make any .paa is the PS to make a (32bits) .tga and then the TexView2 to convert it to .paa .     Hi, if they improve the AI yeltsin pathfinding at the time to cross bridges then the fact that the AI or you drop the equipment after some time, will become less problematic or deadly; and much less problematic if you and the AI were able of keep the main and side weapons with at least one magazine. Hi, seems that replicate the CWR campaign is hard now with the ArmA's AI, in the mission after montignac, that one where you've to take care of a bunch of civilians... if the truck gets damaged, then the T.Leader passes completly from the civilians and leave 'em there; took me like 15 mins with the time compression at x4 to make the mission because the Squad didn't move unless that someone (me) triggered/reached the next waypoint. And took me so much because the AI (even then the T.Leader stated that it was Clear) was on Danger behaviour going prone each 8m, but i guess that that's something that can't be fixed because it's an AI bug.     Hi, that jonas island seems to move very smooth and seems to be a great place where use the Alpha-Studios VDV units and the Jonn's USMC plus the CH-Tanks. Good job, is a very pimp island. Let's C ya

    Hi, i think that may be more important to have the 25/30mm cannons flashes than the MGs flashes, this obviusly have it's bad part and it's unrealistic part... you'll get "blind" for some time firing (as gunner, commander or driver) the main gun and overall with the NVGs due to the "way" that BIS made the HDR, while the MG operators will be able of do continious fire without get blind by the MG muzzle flash; but... i think that the bigger flash should win, so i'll keep the 25/30mm muzzle flash because yeah, to don't make stealth ICV's.     Hi, the combat divers use to carry different weapons and use different insertion methods and diving gear than the Marines, they're more like commandos than General Infantry, even the MEU units are closer to General Infantry in gear and combat/insertion methods than the SEALs; but at least here, where the Marine Infantry goes... go too the Combat Divers. Hi, one thing that i miss are Marines, CWR Marines, door guards and Recon units with the eight peaks cap and some officers too; i wouldn't mind to donate my M1911-A1 gun (that have some big errors) for the CWR for Marines or not. But i think that the mission makers will find very usefull to have some CWR Marines and many players will find it pimp, will be a matter of create their own Editor class and use the ArmA's officer's cap model and retexture it.     Hi, yeah, that "John Wayne walking style" that we've in ArmA is really bad, some more anims or just more realistic and relaxed ones for walk without the gun on the hands, also will be pimp if the crouch aiming with the pistol where a much lower, offeeing a smaller silouette. But also will be pimp if you could have more relaxed anims when unarmed and if you could crouch unarmed; instead choose between A) Stand up like a man. B) Crawl like a rat. Let's C ya

    Just one squad?

    Hi, i guess that if one of the Razor Team mebers die then you'll not count with him on the future missions, same as in the Queen's Gambit; which will be good if each unit had his own habilities, the Sniper accurate and silent when moving, the Grenadier accurate with the M203 and providing good precision/supresion fire etc, other than that... hire any other AI and order him/her to take the body count's weapon and cover his role.     more pistols?

    Hi, revolvers like .32, .38 and .38SPC are very used arround the world by cops, gangstas and civilian sport shooters, bigger calibers like .44 Magnum or .357 Magnum are more used by military units for it's piercing power, stopping power and realiability. The Marines use in their arsenal weapons like the SIG-P226T and a weird .45ACP silenced pistol from the Nam era that i don't remember it's name; but still in use. Weapons like damn Desert Eagles, Mk.23s, MAC-11s, Claridge Hi-Techs and Calicos don't make much sense as they aren't used by military forces than some (freak) PMCs. About the eastern sides... i think that they should use something modern than 1933 guns (the Tokarevs or Makarovs) things like GSH-18s, Viking-446 or even just some german pistols used by booth military forces aswell as law enforcement and SRT units, like Walther P88, Walther P99, Glock 17, Glock 21, or hell yeah, the damn H&K USP-T. For example, in the spanish armed forces, we've 3 service pistols and 2 revolvers; have so few side weapons for each side in terms of realism just don't makes sense. Representing the year 2011 with 1930s or 1940s pistols is stupid, is like as with the shotguns; the russians use R870 look alike shotguns and rightnow the Marines keep using the R870s and the Mossberg S590, but, instead... we just get 1 shotgun for each side; is pointless. And it's ready too late for cry for any last minute addition, that most likely will have some problem due to the leak of time for "new comers". Let's C ya

    Hi, yeah, im sure that the man in the armoury will cruzify you for those words; anyways, there're some ways to keep some more ammo than the inserted magazine, if you're fast enough, you could put one or two mags in each leg's side pockets but you'll have to do it really fast because you begin to sink very fast if you don't have or keep enough floating surface, like in the moving sands but worst, because you may begin to sink in the 1St second. I'll be happy enough if in the ArmA2 they make the units keep the main weapon and a single magazine and the side weapon and it's ammo. Let's C ya
  15. HI, yeah, that's the big problem of the ArmA, that the AI is much less effective than the OFP's AI, so you've to do it all by yourself and it makes it all harder; as an OFP behviour that the AI use the RPG weapons againist infantry, which was a bad point. Let's C ya

Hi, the tracers were in the OFP as default (but deactivable) as they're in the ArmA; and i've seen some weird things, the CWR M4 uses the ArmA's M4 sound, while the M16 & M16GL uses those bad sounds, i think that this a bad point; also, the M203 leaf sights in the M16GL obstruct the view and makes much harder to aim and follow moving targets; i would had made an specific M16A2+M203 model with the M203 sights folded, we can use the rifle itself as refference for aim the nades. And... also whould had been a good thing to take all the BIS weapons MLODs and fix the Geometry LOD, the AKs keep acting as bullet proof shields, same for the MGs and rocket launchers; also, you could ask The Weapons Master Inquisitor for use his M60 machinegun model and sounds, they were very pimp.   17. Hi, that's not our bussines; i renamed it as: @CWR, for locate it faster. So call your one as you wish, the name isn't really important as long as you create the shorcut and you add the line that i told you (using the Mod folder name that you've) for run the CWR mod. Let's C ya

  19. Hi, create a shortcut pulling the original ArmA.exe to your "Init/Bohemia Interactive/ArmA/" adress (in the Init menu obviously) then, rename it (once this has been done) as: @CWR. Hit: Right Mouse Button over it and select: Properties. Then, there... write the next: "C:\ArmA\arma.exe -mod=CWR;@ArmAEffects; -nosplash". Write the: @ArmAEffects; only if you have that mod installed, otherwise write only the -mod=@CWR; -nospalsh". And you're ready to go. Let's C ya
  20. Hi, with my FOV set to: 3000. In game, i already have a hardware lag that makes very hard and almost impossible to play the campaign missions (CWR campaign, i haven't started yet the Resistance campaign)i would blame the grass (at least in Malden) more than my poor PC; but lower the view distance i think that would be better if it were done by the player rather than forced by the mission. If you set the FOV at 600m, the AI tanks at 1200m will see you anyways and will engage you while you'll be unable to see 'em, so i think that is good as it's rightnow. I agree with you on some of your points Celery. But done as it has been made... it's a huge and very good job anyways. Let's C ya

Hi, you don't need to hide from me Commando84, maybe my memory betrays me, but i didn't remember that the Cobra was so basic, then i rotated the camera and seen that big square where the engine exhaust rest... i though "DAMN!!! this was really like this!?" but that's all, i know most of the pains that you can find when doing a (better) version of an old game and well, ain't like the OFP's cobra, is very basic and i don't see it as a place holder. I just wanted to give my opion to the CWR members. Now you can go back to your cave Commando84. Let's C ya
  22. Hi, 4 in 1, i don't see anything offensive in my way of report in, you should write my real way of report in; you'll burn me in a fire inquisition "style". Other bad thing that i see, it's the faces; the fact that i can't use my custom face or my ArmA's original selected voice, ain't like it, other thing and more important that ain't like it too is the hardware lag, with my dual core, 3Gb of ram and my 8800GTS, if i zoom a bit with the M16A2 iron sights... then i think that the FPS fall down to between 21 and 14 FPS. The famous quotes don't work, at least in spanish, the orders and subtittles work well, but where should appear the famous quotes... appear the word: Spanish. At the left bottom corner of the screen over the downside black bar. Do you have a spanish translation for those famous quotes?, may be i could translate 'em if you give 'em to me in a text file.     Hi, the only way to keep all your gear, backpack included is to disembarq at a point where you have deep enough as for touch the end and put your body under the water level if you are under fire while you walk by the end; at 100m or more from the shore, you've to carry a closed impermeable bag with your gear, but that in the IDM is something that you'll only see in your dreams, that's why they teach us to release and drop our vest but keep the weapon attached with the sling. If you dropped your rifle you had 14 days of arrest, seven for leak of respect to the Armada and other seven for leak of respect to a supperior official. Extensible to 21 (seven more for leak of attention to the exercise on course), so you'll never drop your weapon. BIS should add this feature, is not a matter of the distance, is a matter of the weight of the gear and ammo for keep your gear off the water. Let's C ya

Hi, i've downloaded the CRW from the OFPEC.com site and well, after a kick try... damn it, couldn't you make something with the cobra?, i've seen bricks with less edges than that; also, please... ask the ADF mod for a decent Steyr AUG model, i almost puke when i seen it. THe B92F, my God... what kind of brick look alike iron is that!? couldn't you just use the ArmA's M9 model and textures?; about the Steyr AUG and the G36.. i think that booth have the sight displaced to the right in relation the bullet's impact point, it also happens on the Cobra. I must try the rest of the thing. Looks well done and works with the MadMatt's ArmA Effects. Good job. Let's C ya
