Really? A crosshair for a "realistic" sim?

Hi, the crossair haves a role that you can deactivate in the Difficulty Settings; this role is to allow you to know better where your weapon is aiming, in the real life you know (or should know) where your rifle is aiming and you could shot to kill at distances up to 25m more or less. As this is a game, and you haven't the rifle in the hands, that feeling doesn't exists, so this deactivable option of the crossair is there to assuma that you know where the rifle is aiming, usefull in CQB or Short Range; those who dislike it should go to their options and disable it, if you enter on a public server where they've it enabled... then quit from that server if you dislike it so much or pay your server and stablish there your own rules. Im fine with the crossair in all the BIS games, OFP, ArmA and ArmA2 Demo; i always disable it on all the difficulty settings, but i like to know that i can choose if have it or not for my SP gaming, the camapaign.. user missions... etc. Let's C ya -

Hi, have you also fixed the issue with the M203 sights?, that the front sight was risen in the gun's viewpilot LOD blocking the FOV of the shooter, and the issue with the M203 sight that wasn't used in the same way that in the ArmA?, that made the M16A2-M203 less usefull than how it could. Hi, the TOW-IIB mounted on vehicles fly forward going up and down without control, you can only maniouber 'em to the sides and yeah, up and down too, but they're useless, a pure scum; i played a EVO where i had a HMMWV-TOW on a hill at like 750m from the targets, i shooted 12 TOWs and i only hitted with four of 'em. This don't happen with the static TOW-IIB launchers, where the missile fly straight and the only bug that it haves is the smoke trail, thing that the TOWs don't have IRL for allow the shooter to see the target; for some reason we can't have half realistic or just good enough AT missiles here. The TOWs suck. Let's C ya

Hi, in the Demo you can aim much better down the sights walking slowly (pressing R-Shift) is something that they've brought back from the OFP and i like it, you can do it already; still a bit... "rough.." but you can certainly aim much better than walking at the normal speed aiming down the sights. The animation is the same one but slower, i think that is good as it's in the Demo. Let's C ya

Hi, LTWatts, for what i'd heard the CWR Winter addons may give some problem or error, so for prevent this may be a good idea to create their own Mod Folder, like @CWRW i.e. and add it to the @CWR shortcut ( i.e: "-mod:@CWR;@CWRW; -nospash") and the SP missions should into your "C:\ArmA\Missions\Extra" Folder. Hi, can be used with any mod, no incompativilities as far as i know; it works with the CWR, with the ArmA... with the QG... it's a pimp addon, not a mod, as i told you i did a Mod Folder for it due that it's not siged, so is not MP friendly; so... i don't use it in MP. Let's C ya- 607 replies

Hi, the VolumetricFog is a mod folder that i did with two great .pbo's that come with the even better Senchi's Klurs Island Beta. i putted 'em on their own mod folder because they're unsigned, so they're not MP friendly, but still very pimp. Let's C ya- 607 replies

Hi, your CWR Mod campaign should go to the: "C:\ArmA\Campaigns\" Folder, and should be named: "CWR_1985_V1_05.pbo" and "CWR_resistance.pbo". You should remove the CWR Mod files from the "Whatever\Arma\Addons\" Folder (maybe uninstalling the campaign) and reinstalling the entire CWR Mod into it's own folder, calling it (i.e.) "@CWR" so it'll be installed into your HD as "C:\ArmA\@CWR\" is way better; and then, it will make your shortcut look as this: "C:\ArmA\arma.exe -mod=DBE1;@CWR;@ArmAEffects;@VolumetricFog; -nosplash". The -nospalsh goes at the end for prevent any mod to run the loading screens. I think that doing all this, it should work perfectly. Let's C ya- 607 replies

Hi, one thing that's not realist, at least in the Demo, is to give the orders by hand with the right hand instead with the left one, as it use to be; there're some orders that must be given using booth hands, like the formation related ones, formation line... wedge... spread the formation... etc; but orders like stay low, form up, raise your stance, advance or stop are given with the left hand in the real life, but in the Demo... they are given with the right hand, which don't makes sense. That will be good to change it. Let's C ya

Hi, in the full game, during the campaign, im almost sure that you can't use your choosen custom face because you're supposed to be forced to play with a character, and BIS choosen the face for that character don't allowing you to use the custom faces, but if in the editor you don't see the custom face when you look at your character from a 3Rd person view... then i don't know what it could be. Hi, the simple reply is that the ArmA's AI is not reliable at the weapons choose or use, they engage the targets when they reach a certain distance or withing that distance, but if they see a OPFOR soldier on the way to the "right" attack point (notice the brackets on the word: right.) they will most likely aim the AT to him and will put a cucumber on him or they will fail in a miserably way with the cucumber and will hit a tree 200m away behind the soldier. The ArmA's AI is not reliable on most of the aspects. Let's C ya- 607 replies

Hi, we never gonna be able of use the binocs when in a vehicle, this is like with any other weapon when you're in the cargo or any other seat in a vehicle; you become "part of the mass". That's the most annoying thing that i find in booth ArmA and ArmA2, which is a big bug, limit or however you want to call it. Will be pimp to be able of assign a key for the LD as we do with the binocs or the NVGs. Let's C ya

Hi, i've found what i think that's a bug, 3 holes or slices in the front glass, is not pressent if you look at the pimp and slow plane from outside, here goes a pic: Also a machinegunner that was my copilot spawned over the left wing when i order him to get outta my f****** plane and get lost 500m away from me; the flaps of the plane was completly down and the plane stopped, the luckless had a parachute and we can't kick people from planes in this game. A very pimp plane, but i find it slow and i've to be always pulling up the lever. Let's C ya

Hi, there isn't any "switch to AT" order in the AI orders menu, is not a thing of the CWR, it's a thing of the ArmA, the only possible thing there is to rearm your AIs in the briefing so the last two ones and yourself are the ones equiped with a LAW-72, in that way you'll have 1 AT man at each side of the Line, Wedge and V formations while you've your AT at the head of the formation. Also order the AT men to Hold Fire and order 'em to stay back, but that's a method that have more holes than a girl. Let's C ya- 607 replies

Hi, yeah the way that the binocs work in ArmA series suck, that thing of stand up, switch to the main or side weapon or even AT weapon and then to the binocs again... really suck. That annoying wrong chain of animations have killed me many times in SP as well as in MP. Other thing that will be pimp to see, is if the binocs were modern models, not late 70s ones taken out from a Steve Mc Queen's movie. They, like the LD, should work/be like any scoped weapon, and when unarmed... you should be able of use 'em in crouched possition, using the same anim that's used when you've an AT weapon selected and pull out the binocs, that if you change your knee... that should also be the crouch firing possition. Let's C ya *Edit: This is the possition that i meant: It would only need to bend forward the unit's back and then it will be perfect, i was wrong about the knee, left one up, right one on the ground seated over the heel.

Hi, yeah seems that the glasses do work, they're only bugged in the player profile; I don't think that you can add missions Hellfire59, the demo may not have the models and textures that a mission designed for the full game may have/ask for. Look how pale the units and the player skin (a .jpg or the game's faces) are; same day time, same date, booth under the shadow and still the ArmA's colours look better valanced. The thing: That's the bigger bug in my opinion and the thing is that that's not easy of change i think. Let's C ya

Hi, other bug that i've seen in the Demo is with the glasses, they don't show any texture in the player profile, so i didn't used any in the game; i guess that they won't work too. There it's. Let's C ya

Hi, maybe release a commented ArmA2 config will allow scripters and others to offer new or better solutions for things that BIS haven't think about, small improvements, tweaks and things like that; i think that would help everyone, BIS and the players. Let's C ya

Hi, at least some civilian ones have it, maybe older military models too, the NVGs used nowadays don't use 'em, at least that i know or that i'd seen on youtube videos or reading equipment descriptions arround there. Let's C ya

Hi, Bravo 6, the pourpouse of those NVGs is to act as independent light cells, each one works indepently from the others and then process the light info in a independent way; it's like the photo cameras or at least some of 'em. Let's C ya
