Hi, i don't find it that impressive, is good but not impressive; what will be impressive will be if they add some of the AA2 things that they could add with a little more time like animations and more units or reviewed ones and weapons, if you ask me... don't have much sense to have added only two woodland units to the last (v1.14) patch, have a M4M203 that uses exactly the same model that the M4A1M203; they should add the whole set of units dressed with those woodland BDUs, they should also add some of the AA2 anims, like those ones to hold the grenade launchers right instead hold 'em by inside the weapon model, they could remap all the yankee units Eliminator vest with the textures of those woodland units too, they could also add some of the AA2 sounds too. Is good to have a new candidate to last patch, but really man... if you ask me this isn't nothing and don't seems to add anything that makes me want to run the ArmA again. But yes, good new. Hi, for me this is the military dictionary that i know: - Slang From Nam. Is outdated and many of the terms are not in use in the yankee armed forces, but hopefully every military freak that be proud of be it will understand you when you use this terms that should be more used commonly to don't loose the good old traditions; like the inquisition. Hi, i've voted never; i've voted Never because even if someday we all respect the others with their differences and everything as dirty hippies, the psychos will keep borning, people like Ted Bundy, Ottis Toole and Henry Damhler etc etc.. so unless you control all the borns in test tubes and reject as valid beings the psychos and other mental sicks... there'll always be someone up to kill someone or someones, for a very simple reason or just without any reason, that don't have nothing to do with wars, fight for power, religion or other fabricated "reasons" like those ones. There's people who like to kill others and who feel that must kill others; so, from the limited scientist knowledge that i've... i know (i belive that i know) that we can't avoid the killings in this world in a "pure" way, without take the role of the main character of that graphic nobel also known about as The Bible, and who's main character is the literary figure of something called God. Hi, i've voted yeah because here, in the North of spain you can already notice the change in the enviroment, in the temperatures and in the grass when you look at it; i think that no one will fix the enviroment problem that everyone is well aware about it and it's consecuences. Look how quick they went to "save the banks" etc etc.. and compare it with how they react with this, slower than a walle out of the water; even slower than how they react with the hunger in the world, i guess that they'll speed up a little bit the "solutions" as cleaner technologys and smarter ways of use 'em as soon as they see a bigger bussiness chance on 'em. Hi, i wish that with the final v1.17 BIS decide to add more woodland soldiers to the BLUFOR side instead just the rifleman and the corpsman, all the others too, officer, S. Leader... T. Leader... autorifleman.. grenadier.. and also remap the pilots and tank crew vest textures to use the Interceptor III vest textures of those woodland soldiers; plus add some of the AA2 animations, that will be a good final patch to leave the AA finnaly. Hi, no man, sorry; it's impossible to take out a custom face from that drawed face, the eyes will not match... the sides will not match... if you flat that face and do it from zero as custom face, it'll loose it's shape and effect so will be just a white clown (other than Dick Cheney..) face with a Sponge's Bob smile that will look flat like a 11yo girl; so it'll be a waste of time. Hi, that means that you need to have your Armed Assault game updated to the V1.14 in order to run this island; in other words... seems that don't work with the Beta v1.16 or the latest Beta patch version. You've to run it on the v1.14 of the Armed Assault. Let's C ya

Hi, if you finaly find a way to do a wreck model... may be a good idea to make it as a standard vehicle; with passengers and crew seats so the mission makers could assign troops as dead or wounded survivors and expand the SP & MP uses of the wreck, this is something that i've always missed on the UH-60 wreck that comes with the vanilla game but that i think that will be a good thing over all for the mission makers. Hi, i've played the OFP2: DR Demo that i downloaded with the Steam client and buah!!, is one of the worst games that i've seen in years, is slow, few funny, silly and looks clearly made for consoles; as open field combat game... the BF2 is much more better, even the Delta Force 1 is a better game than the DR. Judging by the Demo... the game sucks. Let's C ya

Hi, i was meaning that this game (the Armed Assault) is like a zombie rightnow, is dead but it still walks; with words from the developers like: "If you still have Arma 1 and have time to test this latest version". Is more than obvious (at least) to me that the game has been advandoned like the grandpa on the gas station and no one gonna go back to pick it up from there, the game still admits lots of things, content and improvement, but once "we" reach the conclusion that we better advandone it... then there's few more that we can do for it other than wish it luck and drop it as a used clinex. Let's C ya

Hi, someone should define what 'abandoned' means for him/her... they could do many things to make the A1 better asside of fix some more bugs and let it die booth in SP as in MP. They could add, on the final patch things like more woodland soldiers, better sounds and allow us to use the A2 models on the A1 so we could have a SP zombie game; the words to anounce the last Beta patch were pretty clear as well as negative, and just as negative or probatory of how dead the game is... go to MP and check that below ping 100ms... i see six servers, two use the ACE mod and other two don't allow addons or replacements, so the game is dead. If you sume all that the conclusion is clear. Let's C ya

Hi, yeah, there is no solution man; in the RL you can focus faster because you focus your eyes on the target and then all what you've to do, is raise the weapon and align the target on the sights and shot, at the speed that you'll do it, while in game this speed is fixed, is always the animation speed, also the floating zone have a big impact here while in real life the floating zone does not exist, in the game makes it harder to aim directly at the target and shot to kill with the first agrupation; also the AI have the amazing capability of don't need to raise the weapon for shot to kill, they can fire at you with their weapon pointing to the other direction, running and with the weapon pointing down, which is unfair to us. This is in the vanilla game, i don't use full mods so i don't know how the AI may behave on those; but the AI in the vanilla game, cheats. Let's C ya

Hi, could you do an Armed Assault version too?, they look much better than the 6Th Sense tracers that i've been using since their release, but your tracers look much better, i'll like to have 'em on the Armed Assault if it were possible. Let's C ya

Hi, that sounds sad for those of us that only have the ArmA & not the AA2, if that works that way with the objects like buildings... then i guess that's the same for things like the weapons then; the M14-A1, the M1014 etc. How sad. Let's C ya

Hi, im fine with the time that takes to zoom In to my needs, takes almost the same time to zoom in than in real life focus into a distant object to discern it and what's behind it, to distinguish if that small thing that pops a little up from it is the head of a target or just a rock or other thing behind the object that i'd try to focus in; so for me the zoom in/out speed is fine. Hi, same here, i can't use the great Opteryx's latest Avgani map for more than 15mins without that the building textures begin to swap from low to high, same for their LODs, editing a mission there is just impossible for me even setting the view distance to 1000m, this don't happens in his also great latest Afgan Village map; so for many people is saddly true, the urban enviroments are not well handed for our computers. Hi, the best option in my opinion will be to have your own M16A2-M203 as a stand alone addon, with it's own and easy to remember classname and a replacement addon in the form of a config.cpp transformed into a binarized .pbo that goes with your addon; in this way everyone will be happy; those that may only want your addon will have it, and those who may want to replace the BIS M16A2-M203 with one without that damn sight in the middle making hard to aim... could also enjoy it. I'll vote for your addon M16A2-M203 and a replacement in the same pack, always signed and with the public key. But i'll suggest you Faulker ("Sir...") to flip down the M203 sight on the ViewPilot LOD only, so it'll be only up on the rest of the LODs and will keep serving as a refference when you don't aim down the rifle sight; like in the Aimpoint and iron sighted M4s on my pack. I think that's the best way of deal with the M203 leaf sight. Let's C ya

Hi, the rudders or pedals only have an effect at low speeds on the game, i've never seen the wind having any effect on the vanilla ArmA, not for planes, not for choppers, not for ballistics of any weapon or weapons systems or enviromental effects like clouds, fog, camp fires or anything. So the ArmA does not simulate or have the wind into account at least that i know or that i'd noticed. Let's c ya

Hi, remember to check LOD by LOD and Merge Near vertex, the BIS sample models have more holes than a groullere cheesse; and also remember to check the textures paths on all the LODs too, some are wrong or use four or six 2048x1024 textures when they only need two or 3 as much of those textures. Hi, i did mapped the Hold Breath key to the RMB, same for the Aim Down The Sight, so i rise (aim thru the sight) first, and if the target is at mid or long range... i just hold the RMB and then shoot, usually at the 2secs of hold my breath; works, still not like in the RL... but works. Check your default key binds and remap it if you need to; there's a Hold Breath option in this game. Let's C ya

Hi, what i've always used for Pack & Unpack .pbo files in the Armed Assault as well as in the OFP days is: The Voyager's PBOview 1.1 (From OFPEC.com). Without any problem (on XP) works well, is fast, you can check the files inside the .pbos without the need of unpack the whole addon etc; and it's OFPEC quality certified, thing that i can't say about the Keg's addons, the Raikonnen's F1 tittle... and many more things from findland that i don't gonna talk about. Like the Keg's mom. So... if you have problems with "those keg's tools..." try that excelent tool made by Voyager and your problems will go away in the same time that you open a .pbo with this amazing tool. P.D: No one else supports this message other than my three beers; but i approve it anyways. Let's C ya

Hi, i'll also like to see the AA2 SU-25 Frogfoot on the ArmA. *Stewy, if you have the O2 & the BIS sample models... just open the M16A2-M203 on the O2, save the model .p3d as stw_m16a2m203.p3d, go to the ViewPilot LOD, select the GL sight, rotate it 90º, adjust it on the GL sight's bed, save it again, and you're done. You'll also need to check the textures path on every LOD, the BIS sample LODs have bugs, you'll also need to do some other tweaks but's basically that. Let's c ya
