    Role of the Russians in the Campaign

    Hi, after play the ArmA 2 campaign... i didn't had it very clear neither, but this is what they role supposedly was. Act as a "peace keeping force" for the good of the civilian population while being very permisive with the CHDKZ. That's how i seen the russians in the ArmA2 campaign... but if you open the missions editor... you can see the russians in the OPFOR side. Let's C ya

    Hi, what i do is to insert a bended paper piece between the forward key or run key and the keyboard's top cover; it made the long runs with the ArmA 1 less painfull during the campaign and during some Evo missions too. Let's C ya

    DLC - Canadian Forces

    Hi, only few informed people and naive (aka fool) hippies don't know that the canadians are in A-Stan; but on topic... even when it'll be good for combined ops etc.. i don't really see a big "market" for the CAF as DLC, same goes for the spanish armed forces, the italian army and some others. But may be pimp to see the european army even when it's less operative than those mentioned armed forces by themselves. Let's C ya

    Arma 2 OA English Language Pack?

    Hi, i don't know about the polish version, but in the spanish v1.01 or 1.0 you are able of select the language once in game; i've uninstalled the OA... but with the ArmA2 happens the same, and it's better to change the game's language to english that play with the so called "spanish version" because it's full of translation errors. I wish that BIS sends me the GUI stringcable and the missions dialogs too to translate 'em properly because with the spanish version many times you don't know what some things mean until that you press on 'em to see what that do. Hi, i've noticed a weird bug on the ArmA2 related to the player's head model, no matters if you use a custom face or one of the predefined faces on the player's profile; is this: The Thing: Happens or it's noticeable when you're in contact with smoke, from a smoke nade as seen on the screenshot or from an explosion. I don't remember if it happens too with the OA or CO as i've uninstalled the OA due to extremely low performance and display issues with the OA. This are my system specs: DX Diagnosys: Internet Connection: 6Mb/400Kb wifi. And by the way, i don't gonna use the CTI report form not because i don't want to help BIS to find out bugs and fix things, i don't gonna use it because it's messy as hell, takes too long and it's unnecessary complex. I've updated my Nvidia Drivers to the latest 258.96 and haven't seen any change on any of the games or programs that i've on the computer. Other thing... i don't know if that bug have something to do with the huge difference (to worst) beteween the ArmA custom faces shape and the ArmA2 custom faces, while in the ArmA they looked good, had the true colours that you seen on the .jpg in the ArmA2 you don't see the same on the player's profile than in game, could related to the head model... to some property of the head model... or to the specular maps; i don't know, but now on the ArmA2 the custom faces suck once in game; and that annoys me.     Hi, i would like to see the vehicles with it's full crew, for example the choppers; it's kinda sad to see how an AI manned chopper, plane or plane like (the MV-22B) only haves a pilot or a gunner or door gunners but not co-pilot as they should. Even if that co-pilot AI don't do nothing more than warm the seat or spot some NME from time to time. The choppers etc should have their full crew, pilot, co-pilot, gunner or door gunners. Let's C ya

Hi, i'd bought booth the ArmA2 & OA, but the OA runs so bad on this computer... that im thinking in uninstall the whole thing and install only the ArmA2 and get rid of the OA, the radar is pimp and have good features like the CQB+Scope style optics and all that, but it don't allows me to run the ArmA2 + latest CBA without errors, like unable me to load saved datas on SP and some error messages. Im unable to play the ArmA2 in MP for example, due to this. Let's C ya

    Hi, there isn't any Mod or Addon that i know that reduce the erratic movement of the weapon's sights while walking slowly, much less while handling a pistol or side stepping; neither while walking slowly crouched. It's a known issue with the BIS games that forces you (sadly) to shoot always static and that also forces you (if you want to survive) to find a solid cover; as far as i know... this issue can't be solved.     ARMA 2 (OA) : DLC discussion thread

    Hi, the suggested price looks reasonable to me, but i've some things againist the DLC. If you don't have the DLC, you can't join a server that haves it installed, beeing official DLC and knowing the theme of the DLC (UKF) it'll be bought by most if not all the MP servers which means that if you want to play online... you've to pay. For something that you may not need or want; i like the UKF stuff and i find it interesting, but i don't need it... unless that i want to play in MP and then, find out that i need it by force to join a server or to play some MP coop that uses some of the units or stuff from that DLC. That's why i don't like the DLC... also i've some concerns about the way of get it, it'll be downloadable from the ArmA2 official page? it gonna be downloadable from Steam..? if it's only downloadable from steam, then i wont ever buy it; i hate Steam, is a mess, consumes resources, mess up the games files and configurations... well, it sucks. So i gonna have to wait and see, i have doubts about the DLC even if it looks as good as the promo screenshots show. Let's C ya

Hi @Oktane, i've try (with an ArmA custom face) to see how it'll look like in game (on the ArmA2) the colours... shadows... lights... materials etc.. and i found out that is impossible to make the custom faces look even half good as i'd for the ArmA, i don't think that's a matter of my Nvdia or anything but the game's irrational glow/bloom that screws up the colours of the things and give 'em all a loathing plastic shape that they shouldn't have. I haven't try yet to do any ArmA2 or OA custom face as i haven't installed any BIS tool yet, but i've few or none faith on be able of make any custom face that looks good; and all is because of the glow of everything, is even worst than in the damn BC2.   12. Hi, yeah man, it's a great mod/addon made by zx64 called: ShackTac Fireteam HUD. And can be found here: - ShackTac Fireteam HUD v100715. It looks great and do a great job, i've only try it in SP on the 1St missions of the campaign (of the ArmA2) and is really usefull, but if you load a save game... it don't shows up again; i hope that they fix that little issue, improves very much the game play. Hi, with all or most the settings on high, this is how i see the M1911 A1 front sight in the ArmA2 and OA: I'll call that a bug... the problem to reproduce some of the other issues that i've, is that some are not easy to reproduce AFAIK... like the keybinds issue... i'd configured the game (ArmA2 and OA) as the ArmA, same kybinds for same functions; but for example the switch fire modes key don't works most (like %80) of the times as soldier on foot... and never work as gunner on tanks and APCs/IFVs, like on the LAV III or the AAV7A1 so i don't know how to reproduce this issue that i've with the keys other than copy and paste my entire game's config, where everything looks normal to me. Hi, i've observed may "issues" that i would call bugs, in the ArmA2, they're there too after patch the game to the 1.07; mainly things like missing parts on LODs (i.e: the M1911 front sight = not pressent.) or shadows bugs on the units (i.e: USMC officer's cap don't haves shadow), this model don't have chest pockets on his jacket and neither on his sleeves. And are some more like this, i've also issues with the keys not responding in game and i've a "small issue" with the OA single (training) missions as i don't have an specific key to crouch, so i can't pass the 1St stage = closed access to OA's armoury. This kind of things that don't make CTDs or entire break the game... are issues that report in the CTI? or we should do it here, in the forums instead?. Let's C ya
  15. Hi, on the 2Nd Benchmark of the ArmA2 Combined Operations, it gabe me 9fps; and booth ArmA2 and ArmA2 OA aswell the combined operations overheat my PC. This are my computer specs: DX Diagnosys: Internet Connection: 6Mb/400Kb wifi. With the ArmA2 alone it suffers less and takes longer to overheat it, but in like 1h it begins to buzz for mercy.     ARMA 2 (OA) : DLC discussion thread

    Hi, could the official definitive (and not beta) patches be taken as download content?; the DLC seems to be a good idea to me, when talking about patches and fixes... but if we're talking about re-skins, single addons, weapons packs and minor content like that... then it don't sounds that good to me. A better option in my opinion will be to have a built in DLC list where you can choose what to download or not, with some preview screenshots and a brief description of what you'll get; and do the same on the official game's page for those who don't gonna use Steam or the brief built in system to get the DLC. Also will be good but i doubt that it's possible to make something to know wich official addons or "officialy approved mods" (i.e. ACE2) are required to join a MP server, it was very dissapointing to try to join a random public server back on the ArmA and discover that your choosen addons were not allowed on that server, so you had to restart the game plus make certain things. Hi, add IEDs would make sense if they want to allow by the developers side from a begining the IEDs models and code for the addon makers, missions and campaign makers as it's very previsible what they gonna do with the base engine; turn it to be used for the wars actualy in fashion or that are passing as conflicts on fashion, as they seem to be less popular now that they were three years ago. Hi, those Desert camo M4s look good, i would had reversed a bit the wasted areas on the camo, on some screens looks like as if where the deep areas the most wasted ones, when i think that should be the most "prominent" ones the areas that should be more wasted or scratched; but for be WIP they look very good already.     Raised weapon sights

    Hi, in the ArmA and the ArmA2 Demo, when you aim down the sights what did happen was that your point of view went down too much for the common grass height and also the few debris on the citys; what will be a good solution in my opinion, will be to rise a bit the weapon (close the angle that your elbows form when prone) and lower the head to actualy paste your cheek to the weapon stock. Will be great to have another memory point (on the O2) to mark where the character will put the cheek on the weapon's stock and also... make the characters turn the hip when aiming down the sights and scanning for targets than having 'em moving more the shoulders and arms rather than the hip; that's how you'll do it IRL. For what i seen on the ArmA2 Demo... there's room for make many improvements on the animations field; aim down the sights animation included. Let's C ya
