Hi, the more bugged 1.0 game that i've ever seen was the America's army 3.0, and still being poor and bugged as North Corea; but i've to say that when i'd installed the ArmA2 v1.04 and check every unit, weapon, vehicle and the game's mechanics in the editor... i wanted to beat up all the BIS members and put a bullet in their heads after that. I'd played like four missions of the OFP: Dragon Rising and i wanted to make a snuff movie with the developers of that big shit of game; everything was a pure trash, from the animations, the AI, the textures, the missions, the game's mechanics, the weapons.. everything...!. I don't gonna touch the OFP: Red River because i think that i know what it is, a shit that follows the line of the previous shit. I don't install the OA because i've The Marines on the ArmA2 and i don't need (or want) the army on my game, even if the OFP: RR is based on the USMC and as if it comes with a USMC flag bigger than a building... my interest in it is -10.   2. Hi, i use: - Printscreen key. - ALT+TAB. - Photoshop. To take screenshots, it worked without problems when i had the CO and works in the same way with the ArmA2; after go back to the game (closing the Photoshop) sometimes i get LODs trashing, but that's normal... im also on windows XP Home 32-Bits.     CoD clone!?! (Extra Credits)

    Hi, the only things that look like 'COD style' on the ArmA2 IMO are the overdone effects; like the unreal Post Processing effects that are like eat mushroms and the blur. Aside of the fact that you use weapons in booth games. I haven't played the COD and don't want to play to that, as arcade i've the BC2 and as more serious game i've the ArmA2; AFAIK their mechanics and gameplay don't have nothing in common and every FPS games player that knows the history of booth wouldn't listen to something like that. The ArmA2 wins hands down. Let's C ya

Hi, i only use to use the LD in multiplayer, and what i is: - Equip a LD instead Binocs. - Take 1 LD battery. - Talk with someone that can fly LGB planes. - Reach an agreement to be his/her FAC on the ground. - Report about the battlefield's situation and my actual and future movements. - Report in capital letters when i have a valid target (i.e: T90, BTR90, INF, etc...). - Report clearly when i stop designating targets, because i've to move or because i've NMEs close. That's how i use to use the LD most of the times; in MP. Let's C ya
  5. Hi, for animations (intros/outros) and cosmetic pourposues there're planes of booth sides set as civilian ones?, that way they could be flying by the AOs without be shotdown by the AA giving more life to the SP and COOP missions. Let's C ya

Hi, if you move left or right in that situation you'll notice that the AI's fire follow you, even when your shadow isn't casted by the other side of the solid object or building; the AI seems to know where you're and where you're going 'matrix style'. During the SP missions, Camapaign and in MP you'll be informed many times of NMEs behind buildings, forests and entire hills; on ocasions also behind 400m of buildings (in electrochernagorsk or whatever) during the campaign. Same as they know that you're on the cargo seats of BRDMs, LAVs and BTRs 90 that have the engine turned Off and didn't shoot or was on the move before the AI begin to fire at you (on the vehicle's cargo) with their GLs, RPGs or MGs. Hi, im not sure, but maybe turning Off the Post Processing will make it, i'd seen that line various times after jump from shotdown planes and helos and swiming back to land but only having the PP turned On from Very Low to Very High; on the ArmA2, i don't use the OA/CO. I use the OA DVD as paperweight. Let's C ya
  9. Hi, i don't know what 'Deco' and 'Reco' means; playing USMC-EVOs in MP i didn't had any crash, just a pair of the usual freezes that i had before. Entire freeze and computer lock, it also happens at random in SP but seems to be more frequent when im on the editor. Let's C ya

Hi, sorry but i'd never did a Face pack for the ArmA, just some custom faces for free and i guess that some men did their own Face pack for the ArmA; but im not aware of it. ---------- Post added at 08:12 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:08 PM ---------- sorry man, but i don't gonna do any more ArmA2 custom faces, the .rvmat screws up the look of any .jpg once in game and i don't gonna try 20 times for get the less screwed up face. ---------- Post added at 08:25 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:12 PM ---------- I don't know of any ArmA2 PS template, i did that custom face using the .tga face that comes with the ArmA2 Human Sample Models as base and pasted and adjusted my own ArmA's custom face to fit into the new ArmA2 face mapping. I did it to show the mapping changes in the ArmA2 vs the ArmA; i don't know if the small eyes (near the mouth inside) are used at all... but that big eye is the one used at least for the closer head model LODs. And the mouth inside in the ArmA2 have exactly the same detail as in the ArmA = None. The units (you and the AI) are like Withney Houston, teethless... so when you see a big firefight in your screen... what you're really seeing is more a Bum Fights episode. Can't help you with the face.pbo thing, sorry; but think that if the others (in MP) don't have that face.pbo they'll see the head model as the naked, true white plain default head model. Aside that... the servers where you gonna enter to play (in MP) may kick you if they don't have that face.pbo , that's the bad point of the addons. Let's C ya

Hi, man... are you telling me than all what they did on all this time was just fix Campaign/SP missions bugs and that all?, some of the bugs that i've seen are there (at least) from the ArmA2 v1.04, clear and game breaking bugs as that the Aimpoint's sight becomes solid white when you've the sun at your back, the M1911's aim point that's not present and displaced to the left, models that don't have shadow (the M40-A3) that uses an AR-15 muzzle flash while the M16A4s use the same muzzle flash than the (ingame) AK series. Holes in models that sure that create interesting .rpt files. Where are the Beta testers and what they were testing?, they didn't seen all this things that i'd seen on day one?, someone decided that fix 'em was not important or what?. Report more than 100 bugs is an annoying work because it's tedious, i just want to know if it gonna serve for something or not. The search function? are you mad!? report +100 bugs and check if they've reported before!? that's the BIS job, not mine, i just do what i can to help, and it's already enough; and... i like to get drunk and i was moaning about the lack of effort putted on the ArmA2. The models hasn't been updated since when?, what about the textures...? let alone the UV mapping... at certain times of day (dawn and tusk) the sky haves flicker, if you don't look to the ground, at other times of the day... you can't see through the cars glasses, the AH64 glass, the Aimpoint, Kobra & Eotech's glass. The ArmA2 v1.08 was released 5 months ago or so, in 5 months no one has fixed any single ArmA2 model. Seems logic and legit to me to ask if any of this efforts (report, whatever..) have some value.     Want camo face?

    Hi, if you look at the ArmA2 game's camoed faces, you'll see that the paint is as applyed wrong; the lips are not covered, same for a big part arround the eyes, on some... not even the nose is covered and much less the hears and neck. That IRL may mean between 3 to 21 days of arrest in the company. I think that the .jpg hand made custom faces can be more effective as camouflaged faces than the game's one that i've seen on the ArmA2. Let's C ya

Hi, hey Dwarden, tell me man... the (real) issues that im reporting on the CIT will be fixed?, it's tedious, boring and repetitive to write down all the computer specs, look for the screenshots of the issues and write down the description as a kind of repro guide; so... did you (BIS) hired or used some kind of Beta tester for the game?, what they did...!? because im getting drunk and i report bugs, here or now on the CIT, so beeing drunk can't be an excuse for 'em. Did you fired 'em?, i'll do it if i had a spanish on the way of report more than 100 bugs that still present on the v1.09, haven't you considered the option of beat 'em up!?, i'll considerate it very seriously looking at all this thedious job that's now on my hands. Are we Beta Testers? if so... where's my money?, my signed contract and social security?, could i be AT LEAST... be rewarded with a retail copy in english of the "ArmA2": Reinforcements?, always that it can run only with the ArmA2 without the OA. I still have more than 98 bugs that report about on the CIT. Tell me that it gonna serve for something. Let's C ya
  16. Hi, in MP (on the ArmA2) there isn't any public server (under 150ms) running the v1.09; as OA/CO user you shouldn't have any problem with this patch in MP or SP. The Insurgency coops seem to be OA exclusive and the v1.09 patch hasn't touched any OA related content and it hasn't made any change to the ArmA2 models or textures. You shouldn't have any problem with the ArmA2 v1.09 pach as OA/CO user, and with the time it'll be necessary for you to be able to play in MP. The ArmA2 v1.09 don't even affect your ArmA2 campaign saved games, you can load 'em without problems; so don't worry. Let's C ya

    Advice for a new player?

    Hi, my advice: A) Patience. B) Caution. You could begin by playing the campaign with lower dificulty settings, then the missions in a harder dificulty; if you are not sure of how certain weapon or thing works... try in the editor until you get familiarized with it; you don't need to master it, just familiarize, and over all... get familiarized with the keybinds, what they do, where you can get the best (as ground troop) of it and as important as this... where and when to don't use it. Things like: Is better to shoot an Anti-Tank Missile or RPG to the tracks of the tank for disable it, or to other critical points, shoot at the wheels of cars with small arms and use MGs or HMGs for wheeled APCs/IFVs; always hold your breath between shots. And... always shoot in Single Shot at targets beyond 50m; try to be always near a hard cover in combat and on patrol, don't run too much and always look arround in detail. If you combine all this with the patience and caution you'll have it easyer. In MP if you don't know something, ask before screw it; and try to never shoot a friendly, if he don't shoots at you before... . Let's C ya
  18. Hi, the ArmA2 v1.09 patch comes inside the lastest OA patches (the OA v1.58 and the Beta patches released after the v1.58). The v1.09 is not necessary for the OA/CO users that have an installed OA version post OA v1.58. Let's C ya *To Dwarden: Each time that i add a new CIT ticket my mail gonna be spammed?, because then i should keep posting the bugs that i'd/ i may find, in here.

Hi, yesterday i was playing a MP coop and then weird things began to happen, exploding cows... tanks rains... spawn as a dog... etc; then someone used the general radio command (the one that BattleMage uses) to say "****************** Rules, this game Sucks!". And shutted down the server. This happened (ovbiously) in a public server, but it made me very angry to see this dirty SOTB back to screw the fun of the ArmA2 players; i think that BIS should allow only to have a .jpg on the "C:\Documents and Settings\whatever\My documents\ArmA 2\" folder aside of the ArmA2 config and player's profile, and a server side option to allow certain custom files (faces) or other kind, like silly sounds... but don't allow the joining players to have any script on that folder and kick 'em inmediatly. There must be a way of hunt down this ****************** suckers and do something physical againist 'em, so... if you know where some of this fools live... post the direction and let's beat 'em to death. Hi, the other day, i was playing an EVO mission and once i could... i'd stepped into a F35 to try to ged rid of the multiple air contacts arround our base and the closer target area; i'd found out that my Target Nearest and Next Target keys didn't worked with the AIM-9Ls and neither with the GAU-12 cannon. I'd checked it and seems that i was able to use this keys to target ground objectives as pilot of an AH-1Z. Someone could tell me if this is related only to certain EVO and DOMI missions?, or this happens too in other MP (coop mainly) missions?; was very frustrating. Let's C ya

Hi, i've 33 MP missions stored on my "C:\Documents and Settings\whatever\My documents\ArmA 2\Saved\mpmissions" folder, the weird thing is that most of 'em are the same mission; each time that i play a mission it gets saved on my HD with all it's content (scripts, custom graphics and sounds etc), if i play the same mission 5mins after or the next day... it saves again the same MP mission, and i wonder if this is usefull. Why to store two times the same files instead overwrite 'em...?. I don't get it; could someone explain it's benefits to me?. Let's C ya

    Number of rounds to drop target ?

    Hi, about this thing of incapacitate the AIs... in case of don't have a MED-EVAC for 'em (by air, land or sea) then after disarm 'em, patch 'em up and put 'em to walk, some units should form their personal guard team, staying back from the fight, forming their own team that follow the T.Leader from a "safe distance" as the Team Yellow or something; adopting their own combat formation depending on what's going on arround this team until that we take 'em to the next allied point where drop 'em for custody, interrogation and medical threatment.
