I finished the mission yesterday and I must say: After some frustrating minutes (the thing really isn't easy) I was rewarded with a superb ending phase of the mission! Thanks, Murray! Hmm... where? Normally not! It could then be that I trampled just over the unique spawning group! They suddenly appear at the hill at GD52 just at the moment the alarm is activated.

Great mission, Mr. Murray! Just the spawning enemy troops once the alarm is activated are pretty unrealistic... It's annoying when you have positioned your men to strike the enemy and suddenly there comes a bunch of men just behind you and kills half of the squad... A good idea would be them spawning in front of buildings around Ortego or something like that... But otherwise its just frustrating sometimes.

The mission is cool, but the lags (or crashes -> red chainsymbol and the game stops) are pretty frustrating... I did not play Wafare so many times as some here may have played but until now I never experienced a game from the beginning until the end because of this crash. Â

OOOH yes... Â Awefull! Experienced this too... I JIP the game, was not voted as commander... I was grateful that the game ended after a little while. But here the game did not freeze and I could continue running around etc. I also had a CTD in Warfare lately. Don't know if this has something to do with 1.14 or not but I just reinstalled the whole game new, so I don't think it has something to do with my PC (can't remember the last CTD in ArmA). Did anyone else experience a CTD in 1.14?

Good patch, thank you very much! I'm glad that the breath is now audible in first person. But it is still to low! I want to hear my lungs bursting after a long sprint! I assume it's not realistic, when you hear your breath louder when filmed from behind than in first person... And don't tell me anymore, this is a feature since 1.09!

Hi agamoth! Thank you for the resistance units! They fit perfectly in my mission, I was waiting for units like this a long time! One thing, I could not find discussion about in this topic, is the facial expression (mimic) that unfortunately does not work. Is this known to you and is it possible to be fixed?

I'm sorry, I did not read the whole thread... Did anyone write down as feedback that the breath in first person (when running fast) still is silenced in 1.12, like it was in 1.09 and 1.11? I hope BIS won't forget this in the final patch! Â

But you have to admit, that not being able to move 1 meter when suddenly a leaf is in front of your sight isn't realistic at much though. Or did I misunterstand your post?

Yes, very good idea the one with the slots. There should be many other possibilities in the game / gameplay regarding the slots.

Hear what Marek says at minute 3:25: "We changed the playing dynamic a little bit to prevent the players to die so often. To make this, we implemented a 'ressurection-feature' in ArmA2..." -> Revive feature, when a buddy gets shot. Does this mean that I wont die if I receive a headshot?? Hm... Don't know... I am very sceptical thinking of this. I know that I die after some moments, if no one heals me. But if I received a headshot from someone, I even wouldn't like to be healed! Â I am against this feature. I should be at least selectable.

No, the pictures shown at the bottom of the scanned page are just an illustration of different steps in a mission (that maybe the autor of the article could see). The upper left picture says: "PINNED DOWN! As the rebels engage with full strengh, it gets ticklish. They got tanks! The recon team alone has no chance." Somewhen later in this mission the upper right screenshot was taken, where the text says: "HAPPY END! As the night comes, there comes the longed-for reinforcement. With NV goggles the group goes to the chopper." And later (picture below): "IMPROVEMENT: The americans send heavy gear and infantry troops for assistance. The tide has turned." ROGER that!!!! It was this kind of things of OFP that made me love the real nature more! After having played this game, I began to have a whole new mindset about details like the sunsets, the fields and forests, the mountains, etc... Call me an idiot, but I think, I am not the only idiot then.

Yes... But you know how it runs, don't you... Who said this some time ago (don't know the exact spelling anymore): --> "Why should we play with something that is less good, if we can play with the best?!" I think it was someone from Codemasters, when the question came up, why OFP2 also plays with US-Marines... Well, that is not my personal position , but this should be the answer of the question. But: Which fractions would you like to see then? IMO there will always be more people that would prefer to play with the US than with other suggestions, because for them it would be the "the lesser evil"... And, looking from another point of view, I agree with Thunderbird.

Good question, but at the moment there is too less information avaiable about the AI to confirm this. But it is just one of many bugs from ArmA... But yes, I also hope that this will be gone in ArmA2! There is a mod for ArmA called "Vegetation Fix" which solves the problem of the AI being able to see through bushes. (btw: But of course, if you keep shooting from behind a bush, the enemy will shoot back into the bush, even without seeing you...) The mod is avaiable here or here. Please no display of how many life-percent i still have or something like this... Â Hm... It really looks strange. No idea.
