  3. OH YES, the temporary FPS drops down to 10-15 FPS are gone! :D Perfect! Aaaah, it's just perfect to be able to play the game with steady FPS... :) I don't need much and I don't need perfect graphics, 25-30 FPS are enough already. But they have to be steady. Drops of + - 5 are acceptable. Drops like from 50 to 10 FPS are not! I tried everything, really. Nothing worked. Then yesterday I had enough and did what I refused to do the whole time: FORMAT C:. :) But now it runs smooth for me. Now I will replay the OA campaign and be able to enjoy it! I really am happy that the problem was somewhere on my PC, not in the game itself...

  5. Yes, I disabled all programs and I'm clean of viruses as well (at least I think so - do regular system scans). I also tried that programm Game Booster (is this the name?) which in gaming mode disables all services not needed for gaming. It also didn't help. Please also remember that A2 runs fine without these horrible drops.
  6. The thing that annoyes me the most is: That the frames drop down to 11-15 FPS every 10 seconds and stay there for some seconds. Then again, I have a dream performance of 40 to 60 FPS and again, it drops... The game (only OA, A2 runs fine!) really isn't playable this way! :( I don't know how to solve this, I tried EVERYTHING, really everything people suggest. Nothing helped to solve this problem. The curious about it is that I can see what my rig actually is capable of: Frames up to 40-80 FPS (depending the adjustments). But it's not possible to play with these regular ups and downs to 10-15 FPS... :( A "proof" that this issue has nothing to do with the hardware you use is that with all settings to low, all off what can be turned off, a resolution of 800x600 --> It is still the same. My frames go up to heaven and after some time, again this drop to unplayablity... Btw. what I definitely know is that this doesn't happen in the emtpy Takistan map in the editor (no units, no scripts running, etc.). My PC: AMD Phenom II X4 965 BE Nvidia 260 GTX 4 GB RAM 80 GB HD PS: And before some say again: "Well, your GPU might be the bottleneck here." -> Please remember what I wrote, that my FPS go up to 80 (depending the [low] settings), so it's obvious to me that the card can finely handle the game.

    AI and grass, fixed?

    In my experience the AI does definitely see through grass in the following situation: When you are to engage the top of a hill which the enemy AI is holding. Inumerous times (while advancing in their direction) I was killed without seing the AI. As I side note: The AI had no knowledge of me. Only after disabling the grass I had a chance, cause then I could see them at the same moment as they saw me. It is this way since Arma 1 and I don't understand, why it never was changed.

  22. I wouldn't say they are clowns. But what they spoke and the way they spoke was exactly the same as what they spoke about OFP:DR. :) Beside that what they told in the interview (about this "war feeling") was only general bla bla which one could already partly hear from the developers of Medal of Honor 1 back in the days before its release. :) It's always the same loop to announce that "THIS game" will deliver all this... Makes me want to sleep... Cause almost NO game can achieve it (and DR could it absolutely NOT).

YES :) I read the readme and also looked at your demo mission before I wrote in here. :) Both however didn't help me because I was unsure about the "= group this" thingy and because in your demo the groups are picked by mouse clicks, not by definitions like the group_one = group this... And they didn't help because I had a mistake somewhere else! ;) So sorry, it was my fault. Your script worked out, thank you very much, man!! I don't know why the readme code didn't work (yes, I tried it also with the "false" instead of the "0"), I cannot find and reproduce the mistake I had somewhere which prevented it from working... But the important thing is that thanks to your support I found these mistakes and cleared them and then your solution worked. Thanks, Silola. Your support is perfect. Is there maybe also a solution for my first question? There is nothing in the Behaviour script that looks relevant to it...
  24. Silola, first of all thank you very much for your work! Phenomenal! Is there a way to have influence on the setunitpos of the AI? E.g. prevent them to kneel? ___________ And another issue, I have... I STILL have not found out how to insert editor-made groups into the DAC... :( I read some stuff about it in this thread but I could not get it running. It seems it was a bit too advanced for me already. Sorry... My problem is: I can't understand how DAC "knows" which groups are to be inserted. I have 4 resistance groups placed in the editor (called group_one to group_four). But where do I define their names so that DAC knows which groups are to be inserted? Do I have to put group_one = group this in the init of the leader or does DAC just take the leaders name (e.g. GrpLeader1)? Ok, if I now have 1 zone (z1): How can I make the group called group_one under command of GrpLeader1 move to the waypoints of z1? Thanks for the help, guys. And sorry because of my noobness, but I really tried it.
