Iron Front - Liberation 1944, new WW2 game on A2:OA engine
Undeceived replied to Choki's topic in IRON FRONT: LIBERATION 1944 - GENERAL
Wait a moment - is X1 Software the Libmod team or not?? I guess not because X1 is a German studio. Or is it? EDIT: Anyway - wow! First independent game with the Arma 2 engine I know of (apart from BI products I mean)! Cool! :) -
What about the "Forum Hero" title for him? ;)
-
It was asked and I understood that there was no sign of anything else on / at / in the box. And also nothing on the other side of the map paper. But don't ask for the forum post link now!! :D Certainly won't find it again. :)
-
Ok, I returned home and finished reading since page 60. :D :D 1. UnuldorCZ, THANKS A LOT FOR YOUR WORK, well done!! And... +1 for the "Forum Hero" title! 2. Guys, stop seeing BIS agents everywhere - I did not read ANYTHING suspicious in UnuldorCZ's posts. I can understand his frustration - he drives in total 4 hours, gives away his time and DID something, and has to read from many people that he's an agent. Come on... And btw. I am also not a BI agent (just for having discovered the location and defending him now ;) )! 3. UnuldorCZ, do you have the vid in the tube any time soon? Would be great to watch it!
-
At least we can be sure then. Better than not checking the location and having to think all the time: "Hm, what if there really was something?" Whether there is something buried or not - BI's mind games simply are a blast!!
-
Hehe :) I meant give tips or more information in case you need it. But I'm confident, you'll make it! Looking forward to today afternoon! Too sad (just remembered) that I'll go to a place later until tomorrow where no internet is... :D EDIT: But a little movie or at least some pictures are welcome anyway.
-
But I think they didn't expect the comm to solve this Astute thingy so quickly! :D
-
Take these both with you, UnuldorCZ: http://forums.bistudio.com/showpost.php?p=1910387&postcount=92 http://forums.bistudio.com/showpost.php?p=1910404&postcount=98

GREAT!! Don't forget to film it or at least make some pictures! :D I want a full AAR here on the forums afterwards. Briefing is here! If you have and it's possible - take a internet device with you (smartphone, etc.) so we can help you in case you're in trouble. :D
-
+1!! It won't make any sense to them and maybe they'll "destroy" the hint. It must be done by an insider! I rather would wait for you guys to go there (with a camera) instead of letting others do it without knowing what exactly they're doing.
-
:D Haha :D The race for the hole in the ground! ;)
-
:D I think he meant in the editor. Or was this irony. :) Btw. welcome to the forums, :DDDDDD.

Here comes a small summary of information we have and some of the speculation that arose out of it: - Hacked Arma 2 website (link): The hackers (probably) refer to Razor Team in 2009 who Furthermore the hackers mention that not all documents were found (by Razor Team in 2009). According to them more documents are hidden somewhere at Spukayev's place. Other than that the hacked website shows pictures of green landscape, dirt roads, trees and something that looks like a hole in the ground. - AAN article (link) (AAN mixes real life world news with news of the Armaversum.) - The last part of the AAN article seems to be of importance: This leads to the suspicion that the location of Spukayev's house in real life could be important too. - Finding the exact location of the hacker pictures: 1. http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?p=1910387#post1910387 2. http://forums.bistudio.com/showpost.php?p=1910509&postcount=130 - The hacker's pictures show a path: 1. The pictures of the hacked page seem to show a path which begins at the first picture and ends at the last one with the hole in the ground. 2. The pictures were taken in only a few minutes, which proves that they were taken almost at the same location (link). They are from 23.4.2011. 3. Some spots are visible on more than one picture (link). 4. The location of this hole in the ground (last picture) is the real life place of Spukayev's (destroyed) house in Arma 2: Compare this picture with this one (red X-marker).
-
Nice find! I'd say it definitely is the same place.
-
I would say it is exactly the opposite. Why would they go to this place from their office (south of Prague, if I'm correct) and take the pictures of this place (assumed that BI is behind this and not a hacker group ;) )? According to this it takes 2 hours to DÄ›ÄÃn-Krásný Studenec (Krasnostav in real life). So it should make sense to check the real life location. Dammit, if I lived near the German Czech border, I'd be on my way already. :D I always wanted to visit RL Chernarus anyway. EDIT: Also read the last part of the AAN article.
-
I ran the editor and checked the location - nothing unusual. The house is still there and I didn't find any sort of hole in the ground.
-
Whoever goes there and maybe finds anything - please take a camcorder with you and film the whole action! Would love to see this! :D
-
- On the Chernarus map there is a house - In the campaign Harvest Red it is Spukoyev's house (according to the story) - In real life there is no house
-
If you check Google maps closely, you will see that there is no real life house on the location of Spukayev's house in Arma 2.
