Also, don't buy any BIS game used, if you do, there's a chance the original owner still has it on their machine, and if you go on a server while the original owner is on, both installs get FADEd, ruining both your installs.

I would seriously get express written permission from the game devs BEFORE trying to rip those, or you could find yourself on the receiving end of a nice big lawsuit.

I think we need a more DCS level of complexity in aircraft, strictly to prevent this kind of crap. These choppers should be a lot harder to fly, it would help cut down on the rambos in helis.

It would be kinda awesome to have this in ACE.CASP is planned to be more an Open Standard. CASP is more or less intended as a way to advance all of armor combat, by creating the base systems and creating tech demos for those systems. It will be up to the addon makers to implement CASP standards in their addons.

In ACE1 you cannot penetrate vehicle to kill the crew, or kill whoever was behind it, but with .50 cal weapons you could penetrate walls, and that was quite awesome.bull.. I remember plenty of times of vehicles getting penetrated by high caliber fire and the crew inside getting killed.

I would like to see the harder flight models, but Rock I have one request, is it possible to set up helis like the KA-50 and KA-52 to be able to have the rotor blades intersect like in the real aircraft? Recently a KA-50 was downed because the rotors intersected. The end result was one dead general and an exploded KA-50. A perfect example of rotor blade intersections can be achieved in DCS Black Shark by doing too hard of maneuvers.

Hey, I'd like to know what the basis is for the caliber calculations in the configs. It's apparent they are not the actual size of the round, so how is it calculated?

I agree with this, we need analogue throttle for Helis, and we need the ability to have separate settings for fixed wing and helis. Personally I really hope the heli issue is fixed ASAP, as it kills the experience for me and I wont fly helis because of it.

I use it, however it doesn't natively detect the beta patch, nor does it support in game, which is why I'm disappointed with xfire's support of A2...

I use one of these and it is very comfortable.
I used to use a Razer Lachesis, but it would cause my wrist pains, this is pretty good on the wrist.

Sorry if anyone thought I was being sacastic, no intent. It's just the list of weapons is changing as scubaman3D described. Hence the target list is moving about.The ACE team has been incredibly busy, coding, testing, debating features. We know you all are eager for the release, we are eager to get it out too. But ACE2 has a lot of new code and rewritten code - it all takes time to get right at the quality level we demand and you folks should expect.
Yes, the ACE team is working hard, so everyone remember, that if they didn't work on it the way they do, it would be just your average mod. The quality of the mod is directly proportional to the time spent developing it.

my guess is that if it actually is the way that armored sheep says, and isn't possible, I'm willing to bet it's caused by the super shader. The super shader was added in arma 2, and only since arma 2 have you not been able to use the alpha trick, I don't think it's a coincidence. In general though, it shouldn't be an issue with that specific issue, there should be no issue making windows for a vehicle....

I would personally like to see bloom and blur seperate. This would allow me to keep the bloom (which i like) and kill the blur (which I hate)....

I want a new one that is optional with the old one. This way you can have a better preforming set, or a better looking set.

That was an epic campaign.
I did encounter one script missing error when I blew up a certain thing near the end.
One question, is this actually cannon, because I have a hard time believing there could be an ArmA 3 after this if it is. Also, wouldn't that interfere with OA if it was?
As for the campaign itself, before link up, i was getting depressed, and was swearing a lot thinking "oh god, i'm screwed!".
