Thanks to all sites which are not refering to the original source: miller from armabase.de informed me about the news...It's disgusting reading news everywhere and the little guy alone was watching many sites for any update It is my and his sparetime looking for updates on those mod/official sites and there are other persons just reading it and they don't have any decency to honor this, sometimes hard and nerving work...

These are only the early stages...try to remember of the days in september last year: AmrA was looking more than different than it does now...there will be many changes and as fa as i know, BIS was not best company in holding release dates Edit: Now it sure looks like a bigger piecs of cake of VBS2 mixed with ArmA and a dash of autumn...The baken cake is called "ArmA 2" in the circle of experts I hope there will be changes, i hope there will be real dense forests, and i really hope for more players (or more servers with ArmA PVP Games)...more accessable buildings, and more functions which are actually now in VBS 2........ th list is long and the release far away, lets give them a chance to make a great game which will revolutionize the genre

How about different areas? Sure, im a noob in scripting but could this idea withhold a lag? I dont know what the cause is. Maybe it is caused that there is one big circle containing all objects which are destroyed at the same time, so what about different circles? There could be 4 from a small circle at the core to the biggest circle possible. And now the delay of a second between each circle e.g. nuke explodes, objects of the 50 m circle are destroyed. after 1 second of explosion the 200m circle is "activated" and so on... Finally there are less objects destroyed at the same time, the remaining things are animations i think. Would that be possible??? best regards telejunky

I just checked out that i would need a "Professionel Visitor" identify card, but last year morphicon organised this for some communitysites...actually you need this to get acces to the business center. Damn it, they don't have a public stand... This would be the only reason to pay for this bunch of overfilled halls with greedy, young player which want every give-away...

I habe upgraded my system from a X600Pro 256 to a X1950Pro which was a greatly improvment but the card could do much more without the my limitation, the cpu: P 4 530 3Ghz...I think a better cpu could make ArmA running like hell

But javelin starts to be effective when the target is far away (300+ m) if a target is near than that distance you should ask someone with a M134... und sometimes the javelin doesn't hit tthe tank becuase it flew over it but it was far away enough imo...

Yeah, thats one thing i can't understand: Patch 1.08 improved much of Armed Assault - even the Javelin. If i wanna try something out in the editor i always have to put this in the init line but why? what were they thinkin' (quoted from the Angry Video Game Nerd )... I think the Javelin is more than ready and I would appreciate a separate soldier carrying the Javelin But this would belong to the "What I want in the next patch" thread/Bi Tracker or so...

The Vd is it i think...This was the same in OFP: With standard vd neither you or the enemy ai did see you but i increased it to 2500m and 'bang' the enemy T-80 hit me...but the higher vd was pretty good against rpg soldiers because the cannot shoot that long way...

I was playing a small 4vs4 ctf with my clanmates and i used hidden ways, watched the positions i would take and killed some guys and actually got 2 times the flag on one run. So the 'realistic' health model keeps your adrenalin always on top

But you should consider that ArmA isnt soem mainstream game with lots of fans like the bf series where actually over 100 persons are still plaing the 1942 grand grand edition... So i guess it's more a prob about the number of players. That's a fascinating phenomenon, because of the few players left online they play evolution. Evo can be played with 4 friends, actually alone[...], and by the time someone sees those servers and he don't like full servers, by some other time there will join other players and so on...at the end there are playing 30+ players this evo. So, what about pvp? Go on a server with some friends and start berzerk or ctf. It will take a long time until someone joined. Like Sleepdoc said: Evolution is a great sandbox and meeting place for the old guard to indoctrinate the new guys. This fits to other coops as well. So another point would be that ctf is more complicated than just kicking ai asses or holding some areas for you own. Let's discuss it typos inclusive

I think it could work like in some ofp cti. There supportvehicle can "attach" one or more vehikel. So a boat can attach three M1 or so and they fly 10 m behind and 2-3 meters above the ground. It should be able to "grab" those static weapons,too i think.

Yesterday i had a thought. How about deleting the normal map? Just edit the .paa to a flat, monotone texture so there isn't any edge or bordering more. To all low end gfx card, there must be a definitve fps increase or? Or just down sizing the textures ? Maybe i give it a try... -

Heyho, now im retexturing Gigan's SCUD because the old ofp textures don't math with the rest of Armed Assault. But i didn't found HQ Pics of the SCUD, so they are made from scratch. But the rocket looks surprisingly good with this kind of used effect. I could make some normal and bump maps but i don't know how to edit the config The rocket it self is near its finish but now i know that this is (a lot of) work left -
Good evening mates of the nuclear crisis I don't like the old ofp textures and they don't match that good with these other vehicles in arma so i started to retex the rocket as best as i can but its not finished...I try to orient at the real rockets like this or this one or even this rocket Movin from a 256x64 px to a 1024x256 px texture
