    Demo Server: No map loaded

    Thanks for that. Figured out its because the numPlayers setting for when voting occurs was 3 - This meant we sat at a stupid screen with nothing to do until others connected. Shifted that value to 1. Thanks for your response.

Hi, First off - this forum is horrible to sign up to, I already created an account and activated it, and I was told I still did not have permission to create a new topic or reply (yes I was logged in). I am wondering how to actually get a server going, the lack of documentation is annoying I am starting a server fine and it appears on the server list. However, it has no map - it just sits there, and you connect and you can do nothing. How do you create a correct config file to load a map? Here is my current config for the server, any help appreciated.     should you be able to move and shoot in ARMA?

    3 things never change about OFP, Rambo wannabe's complaining that they can't be gods with the choppers, complaints about east/west weapons and terminators disappointed that someone in a fortified/hidden position can kill them while they run around. it's been the same since OFP first came out.

    TrackIR use...

    track ir is the best once you use it, it becomes as indispensable as the mouse. mine broke currently and i'm not playing any games until i get it fixed, i've postponed d/l'ing Arma because of it.

    Arma bugs

    The foliage screws up the focus. Very often invisible foliage forces the focus to blur the distance which makes the turning invisible moot in the first place and hiding in bushes beneath trees a pain in the ass.. rpg goes through fences and if aimed near the fence blast doenst flatten them

    secuROM issues

    I just bought the german version of ArmA and delt with the stupid Secu-lag issues. Not to happy bout that, but now after I got the patch, I went to make a backup copy of the game (like I do with all my games incase the dvd ever breaks) And Now It says I checked all over securoms website and found nothing useful.. So I came here and hoped if any one else had this same issue. Its pissing me off because I friggen own the game, and Its my right to make a backup copy. Please help or direct me to help.

    HDR at night is a bit excessive.. I can only play night missions with NVG on or I won't see nothing at all. Is it my brightness settings? Because during the day brightness seems just fine..

    Ironsights of the m9 pistol are not right. The aim is off slightly to the right. Bullets hit the groud left of the aimed spot..

    I can't finish the mission where you have to escort two blackhawks to a plateau with a cobra and then engage t72s and a shilka.. Can't kill the tanks in time and the mission never ends. I just have the wait marker at the base.. And it seems to me the blackhawks are flying with autohover on or something. They are painfully slow.. Dunno if this belongs here as well but recently in multiplayer me and another guy were controlling the same soldier! That was pretty creepy.. German ver 1.01
  20. hi, i was wondering if it is possible to map side-step, forward and backwards movement on control axis like joystick or rudder pedals. i'm interested in trying out this game but i play with the CH rudder pedals for movement, it's more intiutive to move with your feet than with your hands.

    Hilarious ARMA Moments

    Have any of you had some funny situations during missions / mp? So far the funniest situation I had was when the interceptor helicopter during the general / hotel sniper assassination (spl?) crashed right into the cliff in front of me while I was trying to escape. Looked very silly

  23. There's this thing I'm trying to do in the mission editor on Arma. This is my idea, I hope someone knows how to fix my issue. I set a target "m1a2 tank" that tank has to be destroyed in order to trigger the rescue helicopter to land and pick me up. I don't know to to set a trigger so when that tank is destroyed the trigger activates. Also how can you end a mission if you destroy that tank?
