White_hat, The ongoing discussions are not so psychological oriented as you try to make them sound. they are no more no less than the result of some humble analysis of what have been shown so far in terms of 'Media' files regarding the subject in question. Regards, TB

ArmA2 SLA Pack 0.9
Thunderbird replied to biggerdave's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
Nice idea. A replacement config will be more than welcome. (SLA instead of Chedakis) ;] Regards, TB -
Hmm. Regards, TB

As far as I can recall, you can get it within SLX_wounds. ------------------- @Solus, Cheers for the great support and updates, However, would there be a chance to decrease the AI Radio Reports or just get ride of them. I would have done that myself if 'time' was in my side, but it is unfortunately not the case. Regards, TB

The 'pseudo realistic' concept of the storyline is rather interesting and kind of unusual. It is a matter of taste and I liked this movie. Regards, TB

ARMA II Beta Builds Released: Latest version/build: 1.04.6xxxx
Thunderbird replied to mattxr's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - BETA PATCH TESTING
With the last patch version, you can go through trees. Regards, TB -
Tested the 1.3 version and it rocks, to say the least. However, there are 2 points which do in my humble judgement, need to be figured out and improved: - The crack SFX. - The weapons ROF (Rate Of Fire). What about including various random crack sounds ? and they would also need be louder and more real life like. The weapons ROF is too low in my opinion, during a battle, you don't hesitate to throw everything you have at the enemy's position. Thanks for the hard work and dedication, keep it up. Regards, TB

Noticeably steppy in Build 58968
Thunderbird replied to Rexxenexx's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - BETA PATCH TESTING
using the xxx 72 build here and noticed an outstanding performance increase. (Win 7 32 - ATI 4890 - Core2Duo E8400 - 4GB) + SLX MOD 1.3 Regards, TB -
Okey, this say it all. We better stick to our beloved ArmA series. Regards, TB

If they refuse to send you a copy then why don't you also refuse to let'em release your stuff? Makes sense, nah? Regards, TB -
WIP: Stuff you are working on 2!
Thunderbird replied to max power's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
Blood Effects: Screenshot Nothing new, Porting/Improving the best of what has been released by the community from ArmA 1 to ArmA II. This would be released as soon as I get Sickboy's permission to submit it as he's the original coder of the initial scripts. Regards, TB -
ArmA II: Operation Arrowhead discussion thread

Thank you Deadfast for the translation, Prazak looks very enthusiastic about this expansion and this is definitely a good sign. This is subjective but I'm more than convinced that this expansion (or new game) or call it whatever you want will be very promising. Well, there is no need to point it out as this is so visible that it is even not necessary to mention it, as this does somehow hijack the thread from its original topic. ;] Regards, TB -

The 'Warfare' Mode doesn't have its place in the single-player gaming. Not just a matter of taste, but It is indeed, a 'story-killer' for those of us who rather prefer SP than MP. Regards, TB -
Thank you, B.I.S.; Sign if you agree.

I just love it. A game becoming a MOD, I don't remember having seen that previously. It does usually go in the other sense, heh. ------------------- Cheers W0lle for the efforts and dedication, not the first time you get involved in such a positive way, and this exclusively for the community. ------------------- Regarding people's complaints, well they are quite understandable and are somehow 'takable'. (As long as they are put in a constructive and objective manner). Regards, TB -
ARMA II Beta Builds Released: Latest version/build: 1.04.6xxxx
Thunderbird replied to mattxr's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - BETA PATCH TESTING
Amazing initiative, to say the least. This will ensure better results, less tears and less drama after the incoming patch releases. ----------------------- Regarding the BETA Patch in question: - Most of the reported fixed issues are indeed, fixed in-game. ----------------------- Now, it would be greatly appreciated that you would focus on the 2 following significant aspects of the game : - Objects Drawing (Engine Streaming when advancing). - Performance. - Vsync issue. Regards, TB -
The first Ghost Recon is a must-have, doesn't matter how old it is. Just look at this old-game and see how entertaining it is. Its AI still can compete with most of nowadays 1st person FPS/Semi-/Simulators. Regards, TB

I guess I have nothing new to add as I'm quite confident that all what I'm going to say has already been said: - The Firearms sounds need (all in all) to be louder. - Long Distance crack-SFX need some punch to make them sound more real. - Jet Fighters Main Cannons Bug needs to be Fixed (No sound after the 1st shot). ----------------- The impact sounds are rather impressive. ----------------- That's all what I can say so far regarding this Sound MOD. Regards, TB

Call of.. Juarez - bound in blood
Thunderbird replied to Heatseeker's topic in OFFTOPIC - Games & Gaming
A nice game indeed, the graphics are pretty good, the FPS is also decent. However, the gameplay is too 'A la Call of Duty' oriented. There are some secondary missions which give you the opportunity to explore the maps but all in all, it's still too linear in my humble judgement. Regards, TB -
Sounds more like a statement to bring our attention on that video than a serious suggestion. Well, that huge recoil makes sense since there is no tripod for such a high caliber. Regards, TB

Your questions to the Devs regarding the expansion
Thunderbird replied to I.like.Pwnies's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - GENERAL
- Will ArmA II AH be based on Directx 10 system? - How do you envisage to increase the performance? - Would you finally get ride of some 8 years old bugs? Many thanks, Regards, TB -
I understand richiespeed13 motivations and objectives. The guy is using his newly-acquired notoriety (Youtube) to bring DEV/People attentions on both games pros/cons to further develop things and make them evolve in a positive way. There are some manners to do it but sometimes, passion goes overboard. That's said, I wonder what 'Directx' variant have CM DEVs used to develop OFP: DR? Regards, TB

Thunderbird replied to Tonci87's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - GENERAL
My wishes for ArmA AH are : - Decent/Acceptable Performance (At least, a better performance than in ArmA II, heh). - Decent Engine Streaming (Realistic Drawing when you Advance). - Bugs-Free game (At least, the bugs free possible). - Include as much as features as you can, the more there are, the better the game will be. - A good and entertaining campaign. Regards, TB -
ArmA II: Operation Arrowhead discussion thread
Thunderbird replied to Tonci87's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - GENERAL
I still have faith in BIS, despite some 'love-disappointments' or call'em whatever you want. And for some reason, I have the slight impression that this expansion will kick ass. Why? Very simple, OFP DR is a serious competitor to ArmA II series, and if BIS won't make the necessary efforts to stay in competition then there will be no doubt that BIS will suffer the consequences of all of their countless previous little mistakes. OFP DR looks more and more promising, despite being slightly BF2ish but this won't stop this game from coming as a serious threat to ArmA II on the long run. We have to admit that not of all of us will be playing both games and a part of the community 'could' move to the new CM game. [Of course, only if OFP DR respects some 'minimum Realism Standards']. Regards, TB
