Well, as far as I know, the original Dakota gunship (DC-3) mounted three 7.62 miniguns (fixed mount) firing out the left side of the aircraft, occupying the first three passenger windows above the wing. Sights started out as nothing more than a rod extending from the left wing leading edge, and a ring or mark on the left windscreen. I'm not sure of the sighting system on the C-130, but both versions turn a tri-level tropical forest into an instant salad.
