    yeah I know I'm sorry for that. The overall mayhem is a bit due to the fact that I wanted to simulate some more large scale operations. There are a lot of campaigns already dedicated mostly to stealth or sniper type mission. I didn't want to go for that when creating my campaign. I hope it's not too boring because I'm aware that there's not too much variety of missions related to the fact that only one character is portrayed. In OFP CWR there were 4 roles to play. Gastovski, Spec op - Nichols chopper missions -Hammer - tank missions - and Armstrong - Infantry missions.

    Here you got only 1 role to play. So yeah you definitely have a point. Version 1.3 is much more improved than the last one released. Did a major overhaul even the missions remain the same. The workload implementing the voice files is really huge and leaves momentarily no time to add further missions. It would mean a further increase of work that would delay the campaigns ETA to an unforeseeable date. So I'd rather keep my head down and complete what I've started.

    The progress and the voice acting definitely is a huge improvement because everyone who did voices so far for this campaign has done an excellent job. Without the voice actors I wouldn't be able to do that, so my kudos go to them. Without them this campaign would remain unfinished forever.

    Glad in any case that you liked the campaign not withstanding the constant mayhem. LOL:soldier:

    No need to apologize. I also understand that there is a lack of these kind of campaigns where the player is just a one little piece in a large military force, and not commanding or leading a squad. And i for one think that these kind of missions are one of the best and entertaining moments that arma can offer.

    So thanks again for filling this void, i will definetly play this again when you release the final version with voices etc.


  2. Finaly finished second playthru with latest version. All ok. 73% score. 14 survived. Just surprised last mission was not about arrest that evil terrorist leader. Just ordinary raid stronghold with hidden siutcase. Maybe its random too?

    I guess its random, because the last mission for me was exactly what you missed "arrest the terrorist leader", and the suitcase mission was the first mission for me.

    This campaign was nice with all the planning etc, but some of the car transports were very long and boring.

    This kind of campaign in Takistan would be great also :)


  3. The number 2 of player group is sergeant at the airfield, but later when/if he dies the reinforcements (for player group) replace him with unknown rank soldier. I´ll try to invest that BIS_fnc_spawnGroup-function better if it sometimes spawn higher ranks.

    just to let you know if it helps, none of the men were replaced cos i managed to keep em all alive till the end, so it was the original number 2 dude who decided to outrank me and took command :)


  4. Thats very strange, player have the highest rank in his first team and the reinforcement shouldnt have rank at all (or they are all privates). I keep my eyes open but I have no idea why that happened. The reinforcement script is basically a half year old. I continue testing it during creating my next mission. But that should be a rare bug.

    im sorry, i meant number 2 in my TEAM took over my TEAM not squad or whatever. If i remember right he's rank wasnt private...


  5. Hey SaOk, played the updated "The Battle of Zargabad" today, and had a slight problem.

    Once the last task started (enemy counterattack) number "2" of my men took command of the whole squad and i couldnt command my men anymore. I had to shoot him in the leg (so that he was wounded, and needed the medic) to regain the command :) Dont know why that happened?


  6. They indeed play in very old great way with real instruments that are all easy to hear. Each song is full of different details, experimental structures and there is no clear genre (still more folk than rock). They just go from mood to next with e.g. heavy use of harmonic singing, amazing partly even jazzy drumming and big variety of different instruments.

    They seem to have at least two very talented and different song creators Daniel Rossen and Ed Droste who both created a solo album before even playing public in any band. Then they teamed up with multi-instrumentalists Christopher Taylor and Christopher Bear and created "Yellow House" which is definitely one of the best albums I´ve ever heard. Quite chaotic album at start, but the more I hear it, the better it is. Their second album "Veckatimest" have bigger singles, but overally I like more the first one. I cant wait their next albums, those could bring more real gems.

    I guess i need to check that "Yellow House" -album co's iv'e been listening that "While You Wait for the Others" song you linked on youtube now few times on repeat:)

    EDIT: Whoa, just found out that they are signed to Warp, wich is a pretty decent record label!

    More on some electronic tip imho... so definetly need to check and listen to those two albums.


  7. Thank you :), Ive been a big fan of Grizzly Bear (band) from summer and ended up to include some of their music to "Balota Highway".

    I will definitely try to make more big scale missions. I have worked much on methods to keep fps good in big dynamic missions. Air support is a nice and showy way to clean enemies from far that would require less fun hunting for player.

    I will still update both missions. "The Battle of Zargabad" is closer to finished. For "Balota Highway", I could still add some sidetasks and rework few things. Also improve dialog before trying to find voice-actors.

    Havent heard that band before.

    I honestly thought that it was some band from 60's or 70's, it sounded just like from that woodstock hippie era, like jimi hendrix and beatles etc.

    They kind of have that samekind of sound to them.

    Fits perfectly in the outro though, maybe co's those kinds of songs were used in the hollywood vietnam war movies etc. :)


  8. Iv'e praised your missions in the past, and here i am doing it again.

    Completed both of the newly updated missions, great work, also really nice touch with the chosen music in the outros etc.

    Also liked the apache support in the last fight in balota highway, made things easier. So many other good things too, that i cant remember now :)

    Hope you'll make more big scale missions, with lots of units and air support etc!


  9. You probably have not killed all the enemes, some one is hiding somewhere or somethin. Just restart the mission.

    Ive managed to finish this mission several times in few minutes, just by sending the attack chopper first to take out the vehicles, and after that sending the apc´s from both sides (be aware of the minefield)

    Let the chopper fly around the village, it engages the enemies it sees.

    After that send the other squads to sweep the village from remaining enemies if there is any.

    All you have to do is watch the show from where you are, you dont have to move anywhere or fire a single shot. Just command the units that are there for you to use (chopper, infantry units & 2 apc's or what ever they are)

    "Eye of the typhoon"-mission wich is the last(?) misson is number 8, after that comes the outro, wich is number 9 in the campaign replay screen.

    So number 8 is missing, so im thinkin that maybe theres something that you have to do differenty in mission 7 to get to mission 8, and im asking have anyone figured out what it is? Maybe find all of the hostages including the pilot, or capture Aziz alive or something?

    I have two questions:

    1: Is it possible to keep Litvinov alive, iv'e tried many approaches, but he allways kills kimself?

    2: After taking the supply depot the game ends, and i cannot find Soleveychik, i know theres people and a helicopter at the island close to the supply depot, but the game ends before i can get there. Should i go to the island before taking the supply depot?


  12. Did you keep the target painted the whole time? How much time did you wait?

    I kept the target painted until the plane turned back and disappeared.

    Should the plane drop the bombs if i dont paint anything with the marker, and only clik on the map, I tried that too?


  13. I'm playing the 1st mission, but i dont understand why the airsupport doesnt work: the plane just flys over, but doesnt drop any bombs.

    Im clickin the map, and lazing the target with the lasermarker (yes i have batteries). but no bombs after the plane has come and flies pass.:confused:

    (no ace, only the needed addons)

    The intro and the athmosphere and music in hunted is some creepy end of the world type of sh:yay:t! Brutal ! :)

    The " A New War " -mission was EPIC !

    Really lookin forward to play the finished campaign!

    Love the voice acting also! even tho in some cutscenes in hunted it seemed to be really low in volume (compared to the other sounds).

    Amazing work! How long do you think untill the whole campaign is ready ?
