hey mike...i saw this and just had to post somthing! first off i like to consider myself a acurite template maker aswell, and i love nothing more then to see the amazing work that other comunity members comeout with! and i must say this is a very nice template, and reminds me of alot of SF outposts found in A-Stan! and this even gives me alot of ideas, this template is very creative and useful and i just felt as if i shold give you good feedback and comments...so on that note outstanding work bro and keep it up..i hope to see more from you in the future and same goes for alot of other template makers out there! good job bud, Dave

wow i have been waiting years for a actually Fallugah map! i hope this gets finished ad please, please try to keep this as acurite as possible...please! and if possible(meaning if some areas can use it) please add some of the OA buildings(ones that resemble iraqi buildings(like form the zargabad map) and also iraq in many, many pleases(mostly the outskirts\farmlands) use the same exact type of buildings that most of the OA buildings are(them sad & lonely looking mud huts lol)!

lol yeah, my uncle said its like how the ANA and iraqi army is now in Afghanistan\iraq! as thought they may be officially on our side, as my uncle and cusin said, whos to tell if they are serous about helping us, or serous about trying all they can to destroy us, and both my uncle(nam vet) and cusin(iraq\afghan vet) said that there was cases in which the "goodguys" were actually bad, and they would some how sabotage things, whether in a simple way like prematurely firing off there weapon(to give off the location of us to the enemy) or to go as far as to gain trust of the american conterparts, just to do some heavy damage like blowing stuff up or just gathering very important intel! -

Hey everyone! ok to start off its late and im very tired, but i got some good news! i have been up for hours fixing my Som stuff, and i think this will fix\answer alot of people questions and so on! if anyone remebers a few pages back i posted my init.sqf and asked for help! well with the help of a few people on here, and long hours of trial and error on my part i managed to get a better working SOM! since its late i dont feel like saying what questions this will answer, but for starters @Marshall300, this may help you too bud, i set it up so it uses custom callsigns, now if anyone remebers from my post i needed help getting this too work, and odly it seems i did it right but it has to be in a certain order to work! this will also help anyone who needs help on using a custom transport(in my demo i use a pre-placed UH-60M)! this should also show how to have\use pre-placed artillery throw triggers(my demo use's both "Howitzers", "Mortors" and "MLRS"! now theres probly a few things i forgot, so i recomend everyone to try this out, even if you dont need it, or are cool with what you already have i still recomend this, and thats saying alot as i dont recomend alot of my own stuff lol! However i still have a few questions of my own: Questions: 1. As i posted before, how can i set up a custom "Pre-placed" Gunship? meaning can i have an AH-64D placed on the map that will be used for the "Gunship" requests, instead of the SOM spawning one automaticly(like with the custom transport)? 2.Is there away to also have "Pre-placed" A-10's for the "CAS Request"? 3.How can i have it so the requests are "Re-usable"? Meaning as in my demo once you use some of the requests, you can't use them again(well not with out using a trigger, because im trying to have this simple and all in the init.sqf)! 4.IIRC there was a "Request Reinforcements" back in arma2 right? not talking about if you have a mamber of your team killed, but aint there one where a C-130 flys in and Paradrops soldiers to secure an area? or am i mistaking that for another Module(like the Simple Support Module) or script? 5.And is there a way to have the Artillery started from the init.sqf instead of triggers? i had it working, but it can only be used for one artillery, or Howitzer, Mortor and MLRS all apart of one Artillery Module! which makes all 3 fire at once, which aint bad but i like using the radio to call in seprate artillery pieces! i probly have more but im so tired that i forgot them all lol, but ill probly edit this post if i have more questions! Notes: Its best to try out my Demo to get a better feel for what im asking in my questions, incase you dont know exacly what i mean! also Everyone please feel free to edit my init if you like, i couldnt stop you anyways but just cause a few nice people ask me, i dont want anyone too feel as if he\she needs to ask my permission! and last but not least, for those who dont want to Download my Demo, but could still use the info, i posted my "Init.sqf" under here! lol yeah your definitly right..but iv had it since x-mas so thats probly no good! but at the same time shouldnt it be a easy fix..just simply buy a new GFX card???? i mean from what i heard graphics cards can be replaced in desk-tops just not lab-tops right? and mines a dest-top so i should be good to go if i buy a better card? -

hey everyone! ok now before i start..its very late here(2:20am..and i got work at 5:am..so i shouldnt be up right now but..) im having many problems with my $3000 dell gaming rig, also just too let everyone know, i know nothing about computers\specs and all that stuff! first off for testing im only runing OA, and tho takistan works good with avarge settings, zargabad(or as i like to call it shitabad) is pretty much un-playable! i just want to know whats up wth my specs,a nd how i can fix it..so zargabad runs great(altho i knwo its known to be a fps hog)! but still with the money i put into my rig and all it shouldnt be..right? now..i would like to post more info but i dont know much so i dont know what to post..but at the bottem is my specs..that xfire auto-loaded into my page lol! btw dont know if this means anything or can help but when using FRAPS..the numbers(fps count) are in dark RED numbers? and the bench mark thing on avarge is any where from 7-10(on zargabad) and i did the bench mark thing like 4-5 times.. now things i notce wrong in the city is the textures: they always are messed up and dont currect them selfs till im standing still very close by after a few long secounds, also the buildings have bad lods(i guess thats what they are called) as lets say out of 10 buildings on a street..like 3-5 are a complete box..and about 2-3 are kin of blocky,and the rest go throw the texture problems(as said above)! also i must point out that when playing as a soldier(or even in a vehicle)..it looks like he moves as if he's doing that robot dance lol! and to play it at all, most settings are low and the view distance is around 900-1500(no maintains visable exacpt the ones that arnt real?)..and it dont look right as that map is kinda small to begin with(IMHO)! my specs(auto-uploaded by xfire): Manufacturer: Dell Inc. this is very nice bud! got a question? im very interested in how you made it so you can recruit AI! i have been working hard for a long time now making a nice FOB\AirBase template, and i would like to have something simular to what you have(and like whats in warfare), but i know nothing about scripting lol, and wanted to know if you could possibly work with me to help me make a very basic, easy to use "recruit script"..just something very basic with only one sqf\sqs file(as i get to confused with multiple sqf's files) if thats even possible? i have tryed to study and understand your scripts but to no luck. i guess im just to stupid to understand this stuff! btw this mission is very... very outstanding! truly amazing...been stuck on it for hours! also how did you make the custom dyno-compostions? im interested in that aswell! i hope you can help me bud! if not no worrys lol Dave,

it adds nice buildings yeah, but adds way more MB most of use can do without...and thats coming from a guy with a $3000 dolor computer..and it still causes it too lag, but maby i need a new GFX card! does anyone know how i can find what card i already have? so as i can show you guys for assistance, cause i know nothing about whats good and whatnot...but my computer is a gaming rig...but OA Zargabad lags so bad i cant play it lol! -

lol..yeah definitly, also i just recently checked out your map..its really nice bro(an thats saying alot cause i usally prefer iraq\a-stan style maps)! but yeah like all said i dont mind OPX either(he did a great job..shame he no longer is around) i was only saying...as said its a large amount of files for many ppls rigs...hell even with my $3000 dolor rig..large amounts of files still lags(even zargabad?) but maby thats because even tho my rig is made for gaming i think i need a new GFX card? but anyways i personaly am really exsited about these maps..btw how big do you plan to make them(or did i miss that? if so im sorry for asking again)! also really glad to hear your considering Bagram too! good luck bud, Dave -

yes...definitly cant wait! as far as if you should use PS to move the airbase closer...IMHO i say NO...leave it the way it is, so as in rl it takes a few mins for air cover to reach you..dont really want the AH-64D's to start blasting before it even gets off the ground lol! also do you plan on only using OA objects..i would recomend it so its less MB on rigs(as i hate having to use all the OPX addons for maps..not that OPX aint good..just too much MB)! and you pretty much got all you could possibly need! also it would be lovely if after this, you do a hugh map with Bagram AFB in it...as my unit was stationed thier in rl! p.s. a map with both large amounts of flat and hilly\mountain terrain is the best..as its suits both armor and infantry\spec ops..and the bigger the better...makes for good use of the CH-47's with AH-64D's as escort!
