Yeah the PAQ-4 Lasers are IR light based so you can only see them with NVGs. But great work, I can't wait for the M4 Versions.

Actually the one with the Black Beret Reminds me of GI JOE. I would actually love to see SF in MultiCam and a Green Beret.

  7. Hey guys, I'm working on a project but I am getting cryptic errors. Any help would be appreciated. I'm converting the A1 Strykers into A2. I have edited nothing in the model.cfg except to add the inherit for the models at the bottom. The main issue is the drivers area and hatch as well as the gunners hatch. CAA1 public release

    Smaw > m136

If you can aim at it and hit it, yeah.
  10. suhsjake

    Smaw > m136

HEDP (High Explosive, Dual Purpose) rounds are used agains infantry, light vehicles, and buildings. HEAA (High Explosive, Anti-Armor) is used against Heavy Armor. The two warheads work on very different principles on being all high explosive and the other having a copper-lined cone for anti armor purposes. Right now in Iraq and Afghanistan HEDP rounds are more useful than HEAA. You have to also look at the cost and uses of the AT-4 M136 against the SMAW. Any Joe can pick up an AT-4 read the instructions and efficiently operate the system. The whole system is cheap (both in training and the system) and light weight that augments the firepower brought to a fire team at short to mid ranges (max effective is about 300 meters). The SMAW is designed to hit targets further out and is used in an Anti-Tank team (Gunner and Assistant gunner) and is usually used to augment a platoon sized element.

    Solving Errors

I have a model.cfg from the sample ArmA vehicles and it does list those perameters and the models also list the perameters. I mean the M2 ICV Stryker works but the hatches do not work and the other models will not show.

    RAF Chinook

You guys need to quit reading wikipedia. The M2 .50 cal and M240 is far more common on the Chinook than the M134. But an M134 version wouldn't hurt.

I did like the opening doors and they were usefull, but with smaller geometry so you can get right up on it. The trunk, Rhino, and spare tire were kind of useless and cluttered up the action menu. Usually the Front Right seat is the Truck Commander, so if you could make that a separate seat like the Abrams commander, that would be great. The other option I think would be great is if you could make all the seats separate with their own door options. Gun Trucks would also be awesome to see.

This UCP Delta looks like they rubbed dog poo on it. Why, Why would the Army even consider this garbage.

Depends where you are fighting at: In Iraq, HMMWVs, MRAPs, Bradleys, Strykers, Abrams are very common in support operations. In Afghanistan, the roads that can support heavy vehicles are few and helicopters are more commonly used along with HMMWVs and foot movements.
  24. Yes, the USMC and USN both use the F/A-18E/F model. Just have to ask Franze to convert his F/A-18E/F to ArmA II.
