It created the profile automatically for me in the profile list as soon as I rename the .exe it appeared there, it appears as crysis.exe with the ArmA2 logo, if your running on Vista/7 might be worth putting the -winxp switch in your shortcut, Im on 7 and havent needed to do that. Have you tried running ArmAMark, also In some of the MP games I noticed I was stuck around 32fps but the game that I was joining had been updated and I was getting a lot more fps, so could also be something to do with the map was made in the editor?

What TIPS in this thread?I have tried the AFR 1/2 and no diff still get 25-30 fps on a bleeding edge PC. This trick was insinuated too..
Changing to AFR2 gave me around a 2fps increase, however renaming the ArmA2.exe to crysis.exe gave me a massive increase, give that a go if you havent already.

I just re-run HD Tach and Avg Read time was 220Mb/s im running an OCZ Vertex, ive got two but im not running them in raid at the moment but raid0 gives me around 480Mb/s, unfortunately I dont have another drive sitting around that isnt filled with data so I cant really test to see if there is any difference for you :(

Yeah I think HDD would normally be a limiting factor, but im running SSD's and with literally no seek time I wouldnt have thought they might be the issue, I am getting a little low on space though and the performance does start to degrage when you get a little low on them, so think a clean up and a TRIM is in order, see if there are any benefits, might finally uninstall ArmA :)

Sorry if a thread has already been posted but I couldnt find one, but is anyone else noticing a big difference in FPS between SP and MP, say for example load up on of the scenarios im getting around 50-60fps, but any MP game I join I seem to be capped around 30-32fps, seems really odd like somethings limiting it? Anyone noticed this too?

On my normal settings I run I got around 5500 so about 600 point increase, on the normal settings stated by the thread starter I go around 5500 again so may be im CPU limited now?

Are you running Windows7, I as getting the strange flickering in that, but under XP I havent had it yet, AFR2 was definitley the best one to use but, after doing some benchmarks a little while ago I was only really seeing about 3-5 frame difference. The wierd thing is as well when running SLI you cant run triple buffering and V-sync but it appears that it is running so im not sure SLI is actually working correctly. Is it official supported in ArmA2, I read some places saying it was some saying it wasnt so im still not sure?
Ok Just saw this thread http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?t=73470 and renaming the .exe to crysis got it running perfectly bang on 60fps now, so much better!

Same here 1920x1200 16:10 thought I was going mad at first...

I get the same out of memory message too.
With Xp SP3 and Win 7 RC1

Happened mostly online for me, never had this issue with ARMA1

Try renaming arma2.exe to crysis.exe, this got SLI working for me.
