    Arma beta patch 1.09 - released

    How can i launch mods in the beta? I usually use Kegetys Arma launcher to launch mods, but the beta only has a shortcut? Help would be fine

    Ill say whoever pays the server bill should have the last word on this, and if you dont like it, just dont join the server. Or, just avoid it while jana is there... I found no issues with the 1.09 beta patch on SL, so all servers please update asap

    Well, when you need repairs on a vehicle, that vehicle has usually lost its mobility anyway, thats why its smart to stock up on rep packs... You should be able to spawn at your hideout when you die, i cant see how that is any less realistic than spawning with everybody else on the civ spawn

    1.02 jt edit got a bit buggy after 28 hours of game. innocent civs made drug warnings when cops searched them, some civs didnt get their inventory updated etc. So i guess there is a limit how long this game can go without restart. Anyway, had a great night at janas server, i must have been killed like one thousand times by mass murderer krazykillah

    i must be the only one that loved it, the guild part was awesome The eat fish thingy got a bit annoying though, and makes it hard to go afk(which maybe was the idea about it?) Some more complaints on what stops this from being awesomeness overload: 14k stun gun for the cops. Why o why? this should be free bad siren. JT version had this much better coded, im sure jana wont mind if you grab some code from them

    I think the prison should be moved to near bagango. this way, there will be no extra punishment through being stranded in masbete, and prison breaks can happen if a free civ goes to the prison and opens it up.

    I have heard that the sirens will be included, i don't know if the markers will though.. Issetea/fewo/betatesters, talk to us I think its great to see different versions of a map, Back in late CC there was basically two popular maps, OW with realistic slow pace rpg'ing with no civ markers at all, and the more arcade like 0.95 with a lot faster action. Both great maps, in their own way

    I think this would be fixed in 1.09. i also have this problem with random deaths when driving fast down a steep hill with a car, theres no crash or nothing, i just die.

    More bugreporting: You can easely glitch out of the prison by running towards the corners, this should be a easy fix. "finding the barrel" mission seems almost impossible, i have searched every centimeter of the workerforrest, but didnt find anything. Finding wounded worker/blackhawk is easy but this seems alot harder. The cops should have more things to do, how about driving around a VIP ai(sahrani king?) to different locations around the map, for every location the VIP is droven to, all cops each gets 1k reward. If a civ manages to kill the VIP the civ is given 100k and becomes wanted. In that case all cops will each loose 10k. the cops must escort the king with maybe several police cars for increased safety. This way cops would have something to do when things are more calm. This does not in any way affect the mayor election etc. If the cops are too busy with criminal civs, they can just leave the king in the cop base.

    Played a bit on janas server now, and the marker edits and sirens really adds a lot to realism and playability, this should be added to 1.1!

    no such parameters in that file, it only configures GFX, Controlls and volume options.

    Open up your [your arma username].ArmAProfile file in Notepad. You should find it in C:\Documents and Settings\[your windows username]\Local Settings\ArmA Tweaking thoose values helps alot and is highly recommended! However, it doesn't solve the main problem where AI pinpoints your exact location every time you fire your (non-silenced) weapon. /KC Thanks, now all i have to do is to find this damn file in Vista

    It makes firefight last longer and don't make friendly AI super human. Your team still has the edge over the enemy, but it's not exagerated in regular difficulty. Malick WHere is the config file where i can edit these values?

    swoop: When a civ pulls a gun at you, there wont be time to give any warnings. Warnings should be encouraged, but i cant see how it can be forced. Anyway, the flare-thingy in 1.1 might just solve this problem... EDIT: mr g was faster than me

    Be aware, noobish question ahead. Do i just throw the fdf.bikey file in the "keys" folder in arma folder?
