RO is fantastic, I'm a big fan. The only thing I missed in the former ones is the huge maps and planning in hundreds of custom missions that the Bohemia games provide.

Is there any relation to real life in this? I remember it was the same way with the BH in OFP.

Technically next week :D

This is not a monopoly, and no sane court would ever rate it as it either. BI made the deal(if there is one) to make headtracking NP exclusive. If you want to protest, dont buy Arma 2. If you want headtracking In Arma 2, TrackIR are the only ones providing the service(though overpriced, as we all know.) Thats the price you pay for the product you are given.

M270 MLRS - any way to use the long range missiles?

One question I have, is why do we have to start modules or use scripts to use the artillery systems? -
Quick question guys about multiplayer and community.
sparks50 replied to jack612blue's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - GENERAL
It isn't out yet, so we cant tell how big the MP community will be. But we do know that it supports pretty much any game mode made in the editor. Easy forgiving coops such as Evolution, non-respawn coops, RPGs, CS like TDM, DM etc etc. Pretty much anything really, the variations are huge. -

39% to Stalker Clear sky? That guy must be obsessed with bugs. Its interesting to see the scores vary so wildly. I guess it says a lot about what kind of gamer the reviewer is. I tend to play to be entertained, I rarely ever notice bugs, at least not in shorter games. -
They did something to the AI in 1.16 though. I suspect some tricks or a piece of code was carried over from Arma 2. Or perhaps its just me.

Or, "liberalism" as I think the majority of the world calls it. Oh you silly Americans :)

Yes, I'm not saying the voice systems do not have a potential to be much better. But even the multi billion dollar company Codemasters has the same bad sounding speech in their DR, so you have to cut that small Czech studio some slack. :) -

Whats so strange about it? Theres a plane to the west. Kinda poorly worded though, but unless they are going to be recording ten thousands sentences for every voice, thats how it tends to be. -
I "elect my capitalist" everyday, by simply buying what suits me :)

Hopefully a expansion with more contents than the QG one :)

BIS, get this tragedy with AI drivers in wheeled vehicles solved
sparks50 replied to S!fkaIaC's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - SUGGESTIONS
Apparently they have attempted to improve this in the 1.02 patch, we shall see. -
About Chavez, it probably should be mentioned that the government is pumping large amounts of oil up that largely pays the state expenses. One day the oil will run out and mr Chavez may find himself in a tough position if still in power. I tend to disagree. Laws and the justice system can always protect you from private companies, but nothing can protect you from the Government and (a wrongly) justice system itself. Companies also survive upon customer acceptance.

For me it does not matter, but the less broken the game is out of the box, the more successful it will be. Some may not have Internet or are not technical competent enough to patch or even know about the patch. So it would be interesting if the developers could answer what version the 505 will ship with. -
Sounds like the thread starter should increase AI shooting dispersion(if still possible in Arma 2)

Yes, this is something that IMO was too high in Arma 1 too, and it contributed to the myth about the "all seeing AI" amongst casual players. Increase the AI dispersion in at least the lower difficulty levels. Ohara: that sounds great. So the 505 version will come boxed with the 1.01 patch? I was hoping for a 1.02 box but I guess theres not enough time for it :) -
Very much agreed. There was once a "right wave" across the world with Thatcher, Reagan etc. This was caused by libertarian ideas, but now, the traditional right has left these ideas that got them their former success. Today theres barely any difference between left and right on the issue of government control and libertarianism. I think the right needs to find the libertarian ideas that they lost along the way, and I think its going to happen soon, after things have become worse. When politicians become all about high amounts of government control, it can never last in the long run. Having politicians do the markets is like getting a plummer to do your electrical wiring. It never has worked, and it never will.
