The Unsung MOD (Vietnam War)
sparks50 replied to Warrior Xâ„¢'s topic in ARMA 2 & OA - ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
Is the gun sling visible in third person? It sounds like a bit of a pain to make animations for it? -
Getting a green card today is a very long process because of bureaucracy, sometimes taking as long as 7, or even 20 years in the more extreme cases. Consider this: does history look back favorably, or unfavorably on past immigration-control movements? How will history, and your great-grandkids look at you? Will measures aimed at keeping folks out... Keep you in? -Dave :)

I can see how someone could make that mistake though, MTP is very inspired by Multicam. All awesome content aside, I just hope we get Arrowhead in something that resembles a complete state. The preview version has a number of visible bugs and theres not much time left to release. -
Eh what are you talking about? I agree with your principle though.

OA demo is coming soon, since A2 probably will be mainly sold in a package with OA in the future, I dont see a big need for BI to devote precious workhours into remaking the A2 demo. They should have remade the AA demo some years ago though, it was hardly working and turned many people away at that time. Now AA have become old so it doesnt matter either way.

In the 1920s Italian immigrants were met with pretty much the same fear and anger that the Mexicans are facing now. They came in large numbers, had an distinct culture and provided cheap workforce. the earliest Italian neighborhoods were overcrowded and crime-ridden. Today its hard to imagine anything more American than an Italian-American. Frank Sinatra, The Sopranos series, Versace brand, pizza etc...

Well, technically the first war never ended.

A bad law is a bad law. Thats my stance. Edit: Ive been arguing for globalization(or at least economic globalization), so Im not sure what mean with the tinfoil hat people. If there was an oppresive sort of international collaboration of politicians that worked against individual freedom, then sure Ill be against it(along with every other libertarian) but I dont see this as being likely to happen anytime soon. This is an incredible statement. Since when was the US not made from people bringing with them their own culture?
-
Im wondering how a true libertarian can ever be in favour of blocking "competitors" out of the market by having a strong government decide who gets papers or not. There are no borders in a true free market. How about donations? Without taxes you give people room and motivation to give.(at least I know I would be motivated) Naturally the government would have to radically turn down its operations to its basics(mainly police, justice system and military), but these are good things in my book. A weak government is a good government.
-
So you want equal opportunities for everyone, except mexicans, who you want the government to stop from getting the opportunities that you have.

Building bigger roads may in the short term free up traffic. But in the long term, building more roads also encourages people to drive more. And encouraging people to drive more drives up the demand for more roads and highways.
-
Some people are less fortunate than others, to say blame it on them all being lazy is ridiculus. I think providing help to the weak is very important, but it should not be done by the government via forced taxes. Forced taxes destroys the grounds of real charity. When was the last time you gave a significant contribution to a charitable organisation? I think that without taxes, in this rich and (mostly) friendly country people would give a completly other support to charitable organisations than we see today, and I think we would see a lot more one-on-one help as well. And since when was less roads only a bad thing? Less traffic, less deaths on the road, less polution.

Thats scriptable. One example of this is in the A1 mission "dynamic war" by mrn.
-
Im just hoping they will do like they did with GTA 4, say nothing about a PC version and then announce it after the console release.

Sure, hes hanging out with Santa, Jesus and the easter bunny west of Stary sobor. Look for the flying saucer to guide you there.

Indeed. Its meant to make it easier to check compass directions of targets. -
I think it looks like it will surpass Arma in some areas(CQB and historic campaigns), in the same way that Arma will surpass it in many other areas. Apples and banas.

Its the universial truth of singleplayer videogames, get really bored and youll shoot any NPC you see because you can get away with it(until now :p)

Time to give this thing a bump. Apparantly, the developers will work with a team of modders, to create an expansion pack for the pacific war soon after Heroes is out. http://www.bluesnews.com/a/1840/rising-storm-expansion-for-red-orchestra-heroes-of-stalingrad-announced The rich colours of the pacific should be a nice change from the always grey Stalingrad.

Nato symbology was included in A2. -
Id still recommend buying orange box for TF2 and the complete hl2 package. Good value.
