Oh no! the SLAgs employ kamikaze pilots !! And yes Kamovs will occasionally kill a car or two. I guess Infantry is too small and fast to hit. As i said earlier, I’ve only ever had one experience with a Su35, when i bomber out a building in front of the house I was sniping out of. Awesome sight, let me tell you.

Who cares really? Remember OFP was just some guys dressed up like a soldier, pointing a fake rifle at the camera…! When I get a game, i'm like; "ok, lets open this thing...{open up}...ah, there’s the disk...{take out}...activation key should be in the book, ah, there is is!...{close box, put on shelf}..." I don't know about you guys but I don't buy a game based on its box art (ever hear "never judge a book by it's cover"?) and I never spend hours eyeballing and criticising the box, thinking, "well, that doesn't happen in the game. The game don't look anything like that". The only purpose the box serves, in my opinion, is to hold the disk and the book. So, “who cares Not me.

Found it. You can "saveidentiy" and "loadidentity". So I could save ID, spawn a new character, load ID, Force switch over and delete the old unit. Hoorah!

Mine runns real bad too. I have an intel core due 2.2, 2Gig ram and an ATI x1650se. Not great i know, but should run better than having all setting on low/medium. AntiA = Dissabled Anistropic = Dissabled and I've even turned the blood off! It's a monster of a game, for sure. Â God help us when ArmA2 comes out. EDIT: Forgot to mention, I have Vista Home Prem...

I know this is slightly off topic, but have you noticed (or am i going mad) that the soldiers in ArmA have random elements to them? I mean rolled up sleeves. Two, one or no knee pads. Goggles, Camel back or no backpack...what governs those elements and can you force a model to have them all? Anyway, back on topic: I'm a little miffed that I've only just managed to scrape together enough cash to buy a PC barely capable of playing ArmA, and now i have to save up again for a better one. No doubt ArmA2 have greater minimum spec requirements, right? I know i knew Game2 was coming out, but after the long delays in ArmA, i though i'd get a few years out of it first before upgrading again.

...do the service vehicles respawn? I've never seen it happen, but sure they do, right? Also, can we have more than one A10 please? Also also, how come it takes vehicles longer to respawn the longer the mp has been running? Is there some script not ending or something?

LMFAO! D'oh!

Nice. I'll get this one too. I recently installed OFP with Tonal Redux and Sanc's dynamic tonal missions. I love those things. I'm gonna go slightly off Topic here, forgive me, but bear with me and tell me if you noticed the same things; I loaded up the OFP editor, placed a west group and changed the LAWsoldier to an AT soldier (there are no LAW class' in ArmA). I saved the mission. Then I moved the mission folder from the OFP directory to the ArmA dirrectoy and opened it up in the ArmA editor.... What did I see? Nothing! The units were all placed well off map, i mean miles out to see! So I changed the map from .intro to .sara as sahrani is a bigger map. Now what did I see? No grass! That’s right, importing missions created in the OFP editor disabled ArmA's grass, dramatically improving performance! So, after amending a few class names like BMP2, LAW and RPG soldiers etc, what would happen if we import the whole CCE template into ArmA? Any ideas…

Sounds great, (I have yet to play it) Look out for the 'original MFCTI', it's on its way. Mike Melvin is woking on it again. Can't wait! It's gonna knock Evolution for 6! (I love that too mind, but i think MFCTI will dominate the servers for a long time.)

Oh, I see! Â Sorry mate. Â Didn't mean to make fun. [EDIT]I went here and translated; "Fachinformatiker Anwendungsentwicklung Auszubildender" And this is what i got; "Specialty computer specialist use development of trainee" ANy way, back on topic; any chance we can see a new BAS Tonal island?

Armed Assault 2! Is this for real? Today at Games Convention in Leipzig, Bohemia Interactive announced ArmA 2, its latest military simulation game for PC DVD-ROM and next generation consoles (originally known also as Game 2). ArmA 2 is set in the near future, year 2009, in a fictional post soviet country called Chernarus. Players will be sent as members of a United States Marine Corps Force Recon squad to this country to prevent further civilian casualties and ensure ongoing stability there. Arma 2 is based on the latest generation technology, offering large –scale game world, authentic and extremely detailed modern units, weapons, vehicles and enviroments, challenging single player and vast array of multiplayer options. ArmA 2 is expected to be released in 2008. Full game website will be available soon at www.arma2.com.

B'ah! Damn it. thought i was onto a winner there. Never mind. where is the other thread mate?
-
Nice! ...howd's it..ah...how does it work?

Am i mistaken, or are they wearing the Royal Marine Commandos logo on the shirts, and the SAS logo on the hats? If so i think they would probably be the most kick ass unit in the world ever! Pack your bags fellas, the wars over. For good!

I've seen the Kamov attack. In fact it always seems to come for me when I'm in a Humvee. (I actually hit one with a M136 the other day ! (Ask Mustang, he saw it! ) The Su-34 does indeed do a lot of spinning around and not much fighting. Although one did bomb and totally flatten a building right infront of me the other day! (Again ask Mustang! ) Yeah, I thought this was meant to happen any way? Be nice to see though. Maybe as soon as enemy forces reach a low level, Spec ops could jump in..? This is annoying, but it's a good feature. It teaches you not to waste vehicles and 'buddy up' to go and fix them and bring them home. I'd like to see this remain the same. I agree Me Too! P.S @ KilJoy You were right. I found a server last night with bikes. They suck big time. i was riding one...and then i died! Just like that! Please do not include bikes in the next version.
-
WHAT!? Oh no way. That sucks...too bad i guess. Love this mission mate, its real clever. P.S.Hope they fix the bikes for Queens Gambit. P.P.S Hope your ready to convert Evolution to the new islands! WOW! New terrain, the lot!
-
damn straight. Wonder what they'll be like? Sandy, Lush & Green...? Wonder what changes will be on Sahrani? Also I wonder if the King and the President will appear in it? The models are already in ArmA, but i never saw them, did you? Wonder how the weapons dealers will work...! I can't wait!
-
@KilJoy Any chance of including Bikes in your next version? Â I think they'd be a great addition. Â Not too many, just about 6 or 8. It'd be ace, zipping across the country. Practical application: Â Some one has left a HumVee M2 on the other side of the island, you can't wait for it to re spawn, you need it for a mission. Â Pilots are too busy transporting people to the front line to take you all the way to get it and you can't fly your self. Â You could use one of the civilian cars and crawl across the hills to go find it...or you could use the bike!! Â Wow! belting along the fields! Â Weaving in and out of machine gun fire! Â Come on, you can see the attraction, this sells it's self.
