  1. What does the hourglass icon (as depicted in the link) mean? Image of HC in-game The server is a rented dedicated server, and I'm running the HC from a different PC to the one I play on, with a different Steam Account. Arma 3 is installed on the HC PC, but is not purchased on that Steam account. Yesterday it didn't have the hourglass icon, but today I had to update the IP address in the server.cfg because my home IP changed today (?) The HC connects okay and gets the welcome messages and reports player joins and disconnects. Is the HC actually working in this state?

    HC needs to be enabled in the mission on the server, but HC clients can run from anywhere as long as the server.cfg has the HC clients IP listed.

    Switched from Arma 3 Server folder installation to Arma 3 Game installation folder and it now seems back to normal. Ping to the server at 30 - 40
  4. SaOk, I've loaded your 8 player version onto my server and modified a couple of things like less foggy weather, longer view distance, earplugs and a few others I can't remember right now. I mostly end up playing by myself, but I've had a few friends join in occasionally, and they've been pretty impressed by the mission. Currently I have an instance that has been running for about 4-5 days now and it's still running fine. I really wish you would still support this mission. Anyway, I just wanted to let you know you have another fan. Thanks for your awesome work mate. PS: Is there a keybind to hide the UI? I like to use the camera to zoom around the map and capture screenshots, but would like to do so without the UI.
  5. Disregard. I uninstalled, re-downloaded and reinstalled and it's working.
  6. Having some problems here. TFAR seems to be partially working for me. I can access the radio via Ctrl+P, I can hear the Radio when I press to talk and release. But this is what my screen looks like. (Screenshot: http://imgur.com/Bvcw52u) When I press to talk, I briefly see the Transmitting graphic, but the Fail message remains constant. Also the chat at bottom left of screen is absent while TFAR is loaded? I've been looking for ages trying to see if this is a problem for other people, but I've found no help so far.

  8. I'm sitting here looking at the Steam page trying to resist a purchase.   9. Hope this is sort of the right place to ask this? As the title says; can not add a player to the editor. When trying to, can only put down vehicles, but then when preview just get an elevated view of the landscape with no control. Tried to play a single player mission and get same elevated view over the land with no control. Was working fine a week ago, but not now. I am playing DayZ a fair bit, and I assume this has been caused by the last update from DayZ, but I have no idea how to fix it. Anyone?

  11. Thankyou, I worked out I was causing them not to respawn by being too close to the camp while testing. Works fine now. Now, can you tell me how to make a spawn point (camp) without the camp? I want to spawn soldiers from within some barracks and also vehicles from a hanger or compound. I have tried using: case 11 but it doesn't work for me?
  12. Having some trouble getting a camp to spawn for a zone. I have: Zone 1 nil = ["z1",[1,0,0],[3,3,20,8],[],[],[],[0,0,3,0,1]] spawn DAC_Zone Camp fun=["z4",[4,0,0],[],[],[],[1,2,50,1,100,5,[z1]],[0,0,0,0]] spawn DAC_Zone I have markers enabled, so i can see the camp is linked, but it never spawns replacements. Ideally I want the null camp to do this, but I can not get any evidence of it linking. I get the flag and text saying 5 spawns left, but no link. Please help
  13. I don't know what was going on, but I seem to have both working fine now. I have only just started playing with this excellent tool, and have never used earlier versions. Going okay so far with trial and error.
  14. Fantastic work! having a lot of fun. However... Having a bit of trouble getting units(infantry) to pause at waypoints. Have tried adjusting... _setPause = [[10,60],[40,80],[30,100],[20,30,5,5],[1,3],[10,60]]; ...but they stop only for a few seconds at the most. Sometimes it does vary, but they never stop for more than a few seconds. I have successfully adjusted some of their other parameters, but this on doesn't seem to work for me? Also, they don't seem to keen on getting in empty guns, despite... _setEmpVeh = [[150,100],[150,100]]; I've spent so much time messing with a couple of small groups, just trying to get these two things to work.
  15. Not sure if this is new to OA or not? Did a quick search, but only found old posts about getting rid of the targeting system. When in the Campaign or in Boot Camp, targeting in a tank works as advertised, ie [TAB] then [left-Ctrl] for fire, but when in scenarios or in the editor, it does not. Can still right-click targets but gunner only uses machine gun against armor targets.

    I just spent a few hours looking though this whole thread to see if this was happening to anyone else, and here it is right at the end! They cross from south to north just fine, but coming from the north, they stop right at the southern end of the bridge. The massive long fence at the bottom of the Gerenuk Desert stumps them too. I understand why the fence is there, but it is a massive hindrance to any mission with dynamic AI, as is the river. I think these few things will prevent many possibilities as far as dynamic missions go. Be nice if the river was made easier for the AI to negotiate. Anyway, this is my first post in this thread, don't want to seem negative or ungrateful, so I'd just like to praise you Ice, for this masterpiece. Truly a work of art map!! Just a bit hard on the AI.

  18. Not sure how to search for this, so sorry if it's been addressed. What I'd like to do is disable the scenes from loading after exiting the editor, like when you load the game with the "-world=empty" Is it possible?

  20. Well, I still can't download the new updater. Even from the second link, it hangs right at the end 99% complete. Downloads normally and quick, right to the end, but then doesn't finish.:( I saw someone on a previous page has mentioned the same issue, so it's not an isolated problem. If resume was enabled it might work, and I wouldn't have downloaded shitloads of useless data.
  21. Yep, I uninstalled it while I was downloading. Restarted my PC and tried from a different PC, but still fails. Bloody must have downloaded it 5 times now. Tried with IE as well since my last post. Gets to the end then says "connection was reset" so download fails right at the end. Missing out on a good night on the server at the moment with about 15 in-game. Oh well, have to go play on a different server full of randoms and probably no TS or team work.
  22. I'm having some trouble downloading the updater. When launching the last version (v0.8.1) it said unable to start missing msvcrt-ruby18.dll. So trying to download the newest version and the download just hangs with only 1% left to finish. <= when using DL manager "SIX_Updater_Suite_v0.9.8_setup(2).exe could not be saved, because the source file could not be read." <= when using Firefox after file has downloaded. This leaves files I can't delete or use! ???
  23. I still love this sound mod, though I eneded up having to modify it so the vehicle sounds were not so loud, both inside and out. So obviously I no longer have a valid sig file, so I'll be screwed if I try and join a server that checks sigs. Now I have another area of concern: Now that Warfare is a daily staple, artillery is used and experienced a lot during a days gaming. is there any way to stop the shell-flying sound to stop looping while the shell is in the air, and just play in the last few seconds before impact. When someone sets up a 6 or more gun battery, and fires a mission, the looping noise is terrible. The sound effect would be awesome if it was only heard in close proximity to the round. I don't know if there's any thing you can do about it, or what other sound mods are like, but for me this is the only area of this pack I don't like. Still a great sound pack

    Warfare v1.0

    Firstly: Thanks for Warfare and 1.14 I haven't crashed since installing 1.14 and have stayed in one game for about 6 hours. <=Amazing!! I find the placment of defensive objects a bit hit and miss. Example: sometimes an MG nest will go where I click for it to go, but a lot of the time it will end up in the middle of a wall or inside the Camp Bunker, making it unusable. Would be nice if this could be fixed. On a similar note: It would be good if a defensive structure could be deleted/removed after placement. This could be because it's no longer required at it's current position, or because it placed itself in the wrong place(as above). AI: I use them a lot while playing Warfare, but they do get stuck way too much. Esspecially as stated by others, in or around the Camps. I'm at a point now where I'll shoot them rather than waste my time trying to recover them. If this can't be fixed, pleaqse give us an option to release or disband them from our group. Arty: AI not rearming arty is annoying, but I would suggest leaving it like this so Arty isn't a "place and automate" system in the game. Needing to micromanage a Battery should help to prevent over abuse of Arty. I agree with increasing the cost of Arty. Info regarding AI and defensive structures:I was in a game the other night where I had captured a Camp outside an enemy controlled town. I had built defensive walls, AT and MG nests and one AA turret. I was defending the camp and noticed that enemy (west) soldiers sometimes spawned in my camp and immediately entered defensive structures. I'm not sure, but I think at times they spawned straight into some structures? I have also seen this happen in Camps of towns my side control, where our AI spawn straight into Camps I have built defences in. So I say "Build it and they will come".....
