  1. So my friends got Arma off steam and is having some problems. everytime you try to start it up you get a message saying. "ArmA has stopped working" Hes currently running vista. Not sure exactly what the specs are. Tried downloading the 1.14 patch but it says the cd key is not found. Also installed the directx9 thing, but still no luck. If all else fails can he get the money back?
  2. My GOTY edition crashes after it starts up. At first I thought it was just FFUR 2007 crashing but then i tried it with just stock ofp and other mods and it does the same thing. First it starts up and the loading bar goes across then goes the picture of the ak sticking out the window (FFUR 2007) then crashes to the desktop and gives me this error. CreateVertexBuffer (static, seperate) failed 8876017c - out of memory? FFUR was working before, so its not the edition of the new mod.

  10. Heh , exactly.... Â Â I have a reload sound for the AK as well but OFP doesnt use it for some odd reason. Â I had tried to add the pop crack sound to incoming bullet rounds but I didnt think people would want to hear a bunch of pops all the time when getting shot at, although its what you would hear anyways, but it got kinda annoying after a while. Ive had that problem when creating my own sounds for ofp. Ive found thay resaving them as .wav files usually fixes this problem

    This mod is pretty cool, but definatley has some bugs. Probably the most annoying one i find is after you shoot your musket, there will be a little blurp of what sounds like the gun wanting to make the gunshot sound again but just cutting it off. And of course the annoying rowboat noise. Also i think the reload animations are realistic and all, but they should be speed up a little for playability purposes. I hate it when units get left behind out of a line of men because they saw a enemy and took a shot and are 100m back reloading.Maybe you could make not fire until they are in with a 100 meters of the enemy? Is it also possible to keep units in line with out charging at the enemy and seperating the group There is also a problem with AI shooting at close quarters, which i find happening alot in this mod. AI should be more accurate at close ranges with their weapons. I hate it when they will pass up a enemy unit 5 feet away and fire at a guy 500m away, or fire at the guy 5 feet away and miss.
  14. It sucks playing MP where everything is flat and you cant hide anywhere, Id like to be able to turn up the terrian detail so i can hide behind small hills and such so i have more cover. Now obviously i know i cant do this with other peoples servers. I usually host my own games and really only play with one buddy of mine, and it would be alot more fun if we could increase the terrain detail some in mp to. So is there anyway to do it? or am i stuck with the crappy sharped edged and flat terrain that leaves me exposed.

    Nice island, both of them, but they need to be more in depth as far as scenery goes. Lots of islands have good terrain but no good cities. This island finally has a good city but is severley lacking in the terrain category. Now where the hell are the missions! I want to save people DAMN IT!

    Thats another thing that caught my eye when i was playing this mod the m21 model is backwards because the cocking handle is on the left side and the scope mount on the right. Wether it is fixed in this one or not id guess you would have to answer that but regardless it is still a good model.
  19. yeah ive seen this already, its funny. But youd think that he would have relized it was a paintball gun. It was weird that it had a flash though. Thats why This had to be staged because if it was real and it was me i would have know the second i looked at it that it was a paintball gun i still would have shot them but if it had no effect i would have layed down a can a woop ass in the form of blunt weapon attacks with that thing. they would have to call the stunt off because i would break the actors noises and jaws and stuff. Dont know if any of you have been to this site and if you like zombies as much as i do you probably have www.raptorman.us the journal is addicting i read all the way to october when he still had it up. I liked it because the people arent total pussys like they are in the movies and raptorman is very smart and thinks his way through the apocolypse
  20. Ok i was playing Co-Op the other night with a buddy of mine and we were in the same squad. I was the commander and he was my #2 guy. We were about to attack a town that had a mounted machine gun and a shilka in it. There were 6 men in the squad and i wanted a couple of them to follow him and the rest to follow me that way we could attack the town from 2 directions. Thats where i ran into a problem. How in the hell do i tell my units to follow him and not me. I know i can just tell all of them to move there but then my buddy really wouldnt be in control of them. I know i could just make 2 squads but id still like to be able to command my buddy where to go with out having to physically type it all in while were playing. Also how the hell do i tell my position when my units are lost. The ai commanders do it all the time but i cant figure out how too.
  21. Yeah i kind of figured you couldnt report to tell where your units are. But i swore that i could tell them to follow someone else in my squad because ive done it hundreds of times on accident but i never actually knew how to do it
  22. I got some suggestions. One that i think needs to be fixed to add effect to the zombies is a animation between when the zombie attacks and when it finally eats you. Because before they would run up. Do the little punch animation and then you die and the zombie would fnish its animation then bam just disapear and then be at your corpse doing its eating animation. And maybe a possible new attack animation. One where they physically grab onto you and bite your neck. Then as i said before a animation put in place for them go from their attack to where they are eating you. The eating animation is fine though. And an idea that weve all had is where the zombies roam around or atleast dont attack until you walk into a trigger area then they will attack you and if you run fast enough out of their sight they will just go back to that area. That way we have the feel of a congested city. Hey everyone who has the zombies, i think we should have a zombie coop mission sometime. I mean there arent that many of us and killing hundreds of zombies would be fun i think. I can probably host a game soemtime. If anyone would like to just pm me if not can someone atleast give me server that does host zombies?

    Man this is a grat mod i wish i just learned about it sooner! But i do have a suggestion, In 4.2 when ai shoot the m16 they always use burst and waste about half a magazine on one soldier. So is it possible that in 5.0 that they primarly only use the single shot unless the enemy is fairly close. Also will kegetys sky pack be released in this one? Again Great Mod!
  24. Here is a idea How bout when you get eaten by a zombie and the human ressurection thing is on you can come back as a zombie yourself and eat your former commrades unless of course they kill you then the game would be over.
  25. One complaint about the new zombie script. They rip you out of cars way to easy. I had one zombie pull me out of the car and eat me after i hit him going 60 miles an hour! I like the idea that they can rip you out of cars but it should take come time.
