    FSM File

You guys should do some reading on Finite State Machines... might help with you're moding down the line...
  2. Yes, We've had similar thoughts... unfortunately, unless one has a reliable method of persisting values to the server then one buggy script, or addon will bring you're 24/7 mission to an abrupt conclusion. At which point all volitile mission variables will cease to exist... I've scanned the wiki new scripting commands and nothing there seems to look able to save mission info. Unless someone's going to build a 'hook' of the 'loadfile' command like keg's then how were you planning to accomplish persistence? Or am I missing something?

    Advanced option in editor

Add a player unit to the map... After that when you add a unit you have additional 'sides' to choose from... But you already knew this, right?!
  4. Can anyone suggest a method by which to persist mission data to the dedi server (WHEN we get the software - hopefully soon'ish ) only... I've scanned the Wiki scripting commands for a corresponding 'SaveFile' command to compliment the 'LoadFile' command already present in OFP but cannot locate one...

    ArmA Windows Server

Thanks guys for your replies regarding the Dedi Server software... hope I didn't hijack the thread... The issue about having to upload the entire game content for me is not an issue, it's just what will have to be done... and that's that... All I was concerned with was whether I'd initially need 2 copies/serials - one for me and one for our server... and it's seems that this will be the case... at least in the begining. Thanks and Cheers.

    ArmA Windows Server

Does anyone know if the Czech/German release will come with the Dedicated Server software as well or will we need to purchase another copy of the ArmA game to run on the server.
