    A-6e intruder bomber public beta

    Yes...what Joltan said...
  2. This is ridiculous!! I see a lot of desperate people asking desperate questions about this f***ing O2 viewer not working or about errors they receive or the g*damn thing not even loading up and STILL I'm in square one! I've tried, tried, retried and tried again and nothing! I've followed EVERY G*DDAMN instructional/tutorial there is on the Web and NOTHING! I've asked questions and STILL NOTHING!!! What good is it having a troubleshooting forum if none of the gurus help us out?! Its like the deaf leading the blind around here! I've asked questions in every OFP site I can think of and with the exception of two or three kind souls responding to my pleas, I'm still stuck! THIS SUCKS! I've had it it with this O2 viewer, O2light, root drive, fake drive, etc bullsh*t! I realize its a wonderful tool to have, but what good is it if the new guys can't even load it up?! I've haad it...BIS can shove it in their collective asses!
  3. Just got in from the X-port and am unpacking, but I WILL check up on your suggestion Chris and will post on my results. Thanks wish me luck
  4. Phil, you're doing GREAT! I've printed out both your posts. I'll see if they work. I'll be leaving on vacation this afternoon and will be back in 5 days. I'll update you VERY SOON. Thanks to you and Chris and Vixer!
  5. UPDATE: Ok, I think I'm making progress here. I'm able to work on some objects BUT, I don't have the Zoom option AND when I want to view the object in OFP, instead of it being the daytime, blue sky/brown earth viewer, I get a dark, dreary looking (barely visible) landscape. Whats THAT all about? What may be causing this?
  6. Nope..I tried all your suggestions and instructions, but I still get the "unable to open external viewer" error. Once I click "ok" it takes me to the Main Editor window The one that displays the grid boxes WITHOUT seeing an ocean nor a blue sky/brown ground screen. I know this isn't right BUT I tried to view a .p3d file and it DID open it. Problem is I can't zoom, I can't do much once I get into the .p3d file. Â We're close..I can feel it..BUT I know I still don't have it right so I don't want to start a project only to find out something won't work down the line...still perplexed.
  7. Chris, the Z: drive debacle was explained to me using brssebs O2 tutorial found at: O2 Â Tutorial There you will find the directions I followed to install and run O2. I followed them exactly. Please tell me if they are wrong. Did you install it the way it states in the tutorial? If not, how did you do it? Do you doubleclick on the buldozer file OR the Objective2Light file? Â Everytime I click on the budozer fiule I get a sea with a square. Everytime I click on the Objeciv2light, I get the blue sky and ground screen, but NO main editor window comes up(and this is where I'll try the alt-tab thing. How'd you guys do it? I'd appreciate any details you and Vixer can throw my way. I really appreciate you guys taking the time to help me out. I'm going to ty out the ALT-TAB thing and I'll come back and post the results.
  8. Well first off I must thank you for your sympathetic tone. I appreciate it because I'm REALLY frustrated. As for the problem.....I've followed brsseb's tutorial to a T. Â Everything he's written, I've done. (I have the ofpedit folder in the C: drive and also in the "fake" Z: drive. I've tried to launch it from both the C: drive AND the Z: drive and still nothing). I've even overwritten the .cfg. Â EVERYTIME I launch the Objectiv2Light.exe, I get: "Objectiv2 MFC application has encountered a problem and needs to close" error. Then the blue sky/brown ground screen comes up and nothing else (not even the Main Editor window)! I'm telling you this ALWAYS HAPPENS. Then nothing else comes up...I have to exit using the CTRL/ALT/DELETE to get out of it! Â Â
  9. Ok here's the skinny on the problem. I've unzipped all the files according brsseb's tutorials. I've followed them to a T...Now, when I start up the Objectiv2Light, it gives me the "Objective2Light had encountered an error and needs to close" error..this happens EVERY TIME! I've uninstalled then reinstalled everything twice and still nothing. Now, when I start it up (and after I close the error window, NOTHING but the blue sky and green (or is it brown?) ground window appears..NOTHING ELSE..not even the Main Editor window!! Why is this happening? Whats going on here? What can be done about this? PS-I've also overwritten the Flashpoint.cfg file and NOTHING. Anyone?
  10. Negative...I haven't resolved this annoying problem yet. I've booted and rebooted and still nothing. I'll tell ya anything you'd need to help me out. What would you like to know..I'm about to abandon my whole project.

    O2 won't start

Same thing is happening over here. I guess nobody here wants to help the Noobs...Have you figured it out yet? If so please let me know. Thanks
  12. Ok, let me try this ONE MORE TIME and use the letters OFP!!!!! I'd like to improve the quality and speed of my user made OFP mission and have heard that temperature in the cpu cabinet has much to do with something called frame rate or refresher rate? I'd like to know if there is anyway I can speed up my OFP game by doing something with the temperature of the where the computer is kept. Anyone? Is there any correlation between the two? Shadow this IS an OFP related question!
  13. Greetings all....I deactivated a whole slew of addons the other night to lighten up my addon folder load. Now in order to play my self-made mission, it gives me: Missing addon: Branger. Does anyone know what this branger addon is and where I can find it?
  14. This may be a lengthy answer, but I'd like to know the relation between frame rate (or is it refresh rate?) and the temperature inside my cpu cabinet. How can I squeeze every shingle ounce of power from my machine??
  15. Winters:I'm having the same problem...What IS the branger addon (whats the folder/file name)?? I need to activate it in the addon folder in order to be able to get back into my user made mission without getting a Missing addon:Branger error again!
  16. syco

    What is a branger addon?

    Darn...negative on all suggestions
  17. Greetings. A simple question of which I have no answer to yet. Does having MANY/EXCESSIVE addons in my Res/Addon folder slow my games/performance down?
  18. Wow, I guess the biggest task now is finding out WHICH addons I need to play this mission and remove the rest....I'll see you all in about a year...wish me luck and THANKS guys!
  19. Yes...the file with the 1.02GB of addons IS the one with all the addon pbo files. Ok, so my question is (and I think I answered it myself already)...IS 1.02 GB of addons in the addon folder WAY TOO MUCH, AND does it slow the game down considerably?? The reason I ask is that I have made a MONSTER Vietnam mission with ALL 3000+ units allowed (suprises galore! and I'd like to improve the movement a little more by doing whatever little thing I can do to speed it up. Thanks
  20. WOW!!! I just found out my Addon folder is 1.02GB big!!!!!! Holy Cow!!!! Thats way too much huh?
  21. Nope...got the error again: Maximum 63 units allowed PER SIDE
  22. </span><table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1"><tr><td>Quote (FW200 @ Nov. 07 2002,15:39)</td></tr><tr><td id="QUOTE">The max is 64 GROUPS!!!!! not units!!<span id='postcolor'> 64 GROUPS per side?? I don't know my friend... Mission editor removed the preview option when I added a soldier to the map and gave me the sixty-something units per side. I'll try it again and PRAY that you're correct, because I have a few more soldiers to add. I'll come back and let you know. Thanks
  23. SWEET!!!! Man oh man....I'm DYING for this one to come out!!!!
