  1. ---This is not like your usual folder-comparing utility I need--- I’ve seen some on the net but this is more specific: Pretend you have a folder with over 500 files with different names all ending with the extension (.pbo) Say you’ve just finished copying all 500 (.pbo) files to a folder which also had files with this same extension but many more. You then decide down the road that you want to remove the 500 files you’ve added but there are too many to look through. I’m looking for a utility that will look at the original contents of the first folder/ then looks at the second folder which these files were copied to and gives you an option to remove the files from the second folder that match the identical files from the first folder. Sorry this is difficult to explain.

I’ve been trying to download War games 4.10 all night and all I get are white pages saying Page Not Found HTTP 404 - File not found Internet Explorer There are links all over this forum and not one works for me, I just get it. I’ve searched Google all night and not one link works for this mod. All my other downloads tonight have been working great, I’m about to give up on this all together. http://www.flashpoint1985.com/cgi-bin....;st=300 I’m on cable by the way. and I've already got the 4.12 update, whats the deal with getting the full version? I would be happy to just get 4.0 at this point. Â

    Ok, it’s working great, I had the full wgl zip file from the other night so I’m ok. I did what you said Q as far as copying the @war folder to the root of OFP (note I added the @) Thanks again for the help everyone!  One quick thing though: How do you get rid of them yellow sub text messages that show up in preview mode, or at least shorten them.

    War games 4.10- Not one link works

    Kind of ran into a problem: After extracting the WGP zip file, I copied all the pbo files that where in the add-ons folder to the root Addons folder in OFP, (Not the Res folder) I’m getting all these config messages missing stuff, I’ve got the Tonal Island and the GAIA island in. I’ve also got all the kaygis add-ons and the Editor 1.11….ect. I probably have more of the common addons then most people. I know I’m missing something but I didn’t see anything in the readme that really explains how to set this up. So then I tried to copy the .bin files from the extracted zip file overwriting what was in: C:\Program Files\Codemasters\Operation Flashpoint\bin. There are so sea hawks helicopter addons in there that will not even load. This whole addon deal is nightmare, even if you do find the addons needed then you have to worry about the version of each addon and some of them don’t even have readmes. I downloaded everything off that site you gave me.

    T80 ver M1A1......Real world

    Maybe someone from the Army can answer this. In real life, is a T80 tank close to the power of an M1A1 Abrams? I know games are not accurate, in operation flash point they make out the T80 to be the equal tank in the game but I have a feeling a real T80 is not as powerful as far as the amount of damage it can handle?
  9. When you have tanks guard or even hold a position, for example where your moving in on the enemy. It seems the tanks rather then creeping up they always seem to charge the enemy and drive right into the enemy lines. Doesn’t matter if there are 100 guys on foot. I know a tank will always go after the bigger stuff but it’s like they completely ignore that fact that there could be LAW guys around them and they usually end up getting blown up. In real life you never see a tank charging an enemy crowd, they always stay back and fire from a distance. I’m wondering if there is a way around this without using tons of way points set with hold time. How can you make the tank smart enough to realize it should stop at a certain distance? I have a feeling my only option is to use (Move Way Points) with min/max Stop-Times. Marry Christmas!

    Good point SPQR, I got off topic. Your right I was asking about the real thing. By the way, you tripped me out when your said you were a Nato solder. Was It during the cold war? Thanks for the info on the tanks. I would just be happy if I could get up close to one some day. If I were rich I’d buy one. Thanks for the link oyman. It’s so hard to find videos of these things.     That is exactly what I did guys even before you told me. I did this on the open desert island. Funny thing is, sometimes the M1A1 would win and other times the T80 would win. There must be something else going on under the hood with the mechanics of the game or something in the scripts. First I tried it with out adding way points. Then I tried putting a hold position way point on each unit set to engage at will/ and Aware. At this point it seemed the M1A1 Was winning every time. But with out the way point, the T80 would take the first shot about Ë millisecond before the M1A1 fired. The problem is it’s never consistent. During this test I was a solder standing from the side watching both. They were both aimed at each other perfectly because I made sure the angle wheel was set exact before doing this. I don’t know what to make of this other then there are other factors involved here. again after I added the way points on each unit it seemded the M1A1 was winning.

One of the guys was really messed up looked like he had something sticking out of his stomach. and the other two were all bloody but they were helping the really hurt guy out of the tank.  I really don’t like to see that, I just want to get some videos of tanks driving over heavy terrain and firing. Anyone know where I can find such videos? Old or new?

  19. Has the Kegetys sky textures already been implemented into one of the new OFP patches? The reason I ask is, I don’t really notice any difference between the default textures to when using the new icon for Kegetys’s. I ran the .bat file in the OFP directory and changed my icons path to: C:\Program Files\Codemasters\OperationFlashpoint\FLASHPOINTRESISTANCE.EXE" -nosplash -mod=namsky Then I tried C:\Program Files\Codemasters\OperationFlashpoint\FLASHPOINTRESISTANCE.EXE" -nosplash -namsky
  20. I’m having trouble finding this: I’m looking for some kind of add on where like in real war, every so often you here the sounds of communications across the radio. Not one voice but many different voices talking across the radio. Do you know what I’m mean? Like in movies you always here a bunch different signals quietly coming across the radio with an almost scrambled sound like there is a lot of stuff going on in the back ground over the radio. But it needs to be very quiet like more of a back ground ambient sound. I’m looking for an add on where I can hear this radio come in and out every once in awhile during the game to give it a more real sound but I have not found any packs that have this?

    Need help with a trigger

    Just a question: Is most of the code you see in INT fields of objects written in the same language as in script files? I didn’t get how people learn how to write this stuff, I’ve read some lessons but I always get lost or I’m never clear on what doses what. Are there any lessons one of you guys can recommend with some good outlined steps to help understand how to create INT strings and script files? I know that most of the INT code that people put up on the screen is just a mater of copying and pasting in the INT field but I never really understand what this strange looking stuff doses in the back ground. Thanks for wiping my nose..lol J/K Â

    DXDLL 1.0 (not Geforce MX compatible)

    Did you do these steps? 1. Extract the zip file right into your OFP root directory. 2. Go into the (dxdll folder) and run the Configurator.exe, then make sure to hit save. Here is the location to the (dxdll folder) I’m talking about: C:\Program Files\Codemasters\OperationFlashpoint\dxdll Also, you can’t see the reflection when you’re looking directly down on the water unfortunately but if you fly your helicopter low or walk around on the ground you’ll see the mountains, Boats and air craft reflections. NOTE: I recommend turning off PostProcessing as it seems to make some textures way too bright and makes some textures appear blurred as many have reported. To get to this menu, while in the game you hit your (Program key) plus the (H key) at the same time. The "program key" is the key on the right side of the space bar two or three keys over, could be slightly different on your keyboard. Looks like a square with a small arrow pointing at the square on my button. As a suggestion, I think it would be kind of interesting to see the sky’s reflection while looking down from a plane but either way I’m not complaining as these is a huge improvement to the game as it is. http://mgiese1.home.comcast.net/water.htm
  24. I love huge missions with a ton of stuff happening at different times. However the way I do it is: say I have like 20 groups of enemies, I'll usually set a few enemy groups on the far end of the island and delay their way points to make more stuff happen over a given time period but as you know more way point means chopper games. Doses anyone know for sure if a trigger uses less resources then just putting a way point over a group and setting times? If so, then I'll just use triggers and hopfuly I can add more groups without killing the map.

    Speaking of the Join Group way point. I’ve never gotten this to work, I thought you had to put the "Join" WayPoint next to one of the WayPoints from the other group? Or do you need to synchronize the join WayPoint with another one? I can probably use less way points using the “Join†or “Join and Lead†setting
