Count to 1 .... now think about how much of an manouver you could have pulled .... very little You should try flying yourself, you can't really do shit in one second.

    Blue Angel Down

If you are talking 1 second perhaps. But basically nobody actually tries it without a G suit in an actual jet. The blue angels dont do sustained 9 G turns. Even 4 G will put the average joe out cold if its sustained.

    Blue Angel Down

Depends, if everything goes well then yes. If he misjudged the start of his manouver and started to low or had to pull harder to avoid say birds then suddenly you might go up to 9 G's. No human does that with a G-suit and stay conscious You might be a blue angel but at then end of the day you are still just human.

Who fly without a G-suit and are just human? I can tell you one thing, he didn't crash because he though it might be a novel experience so something must have gone wrong.

  10. I just watched this video and it had me wonder about the following points: 1. Use of the AIM-9X missile. I do not believe this missile is being used in any shape or form on the Apache. Older versions of Sidewinders have been tried but I rarely see them on operational machines. If you are going to mount sidewinders could we please have Mike's or Lima's and not the (IMO quite rediculous) X-rays? Rather then sidewinders I would like stinger pods mounted to the wingtips as that is a more common loadout then sidewinders. About the 6 sidewinder loadout ... sure its possible but I don't think this loadout was ever flown on an operational sortie. 2. The Maverick, Sure it can carry a maverick but how often does it do that operationally? Not a lot I believe. I think you'd rather take 4 hellfires on that station as opposed  to the one Maverick. 3. Did I miss it in the video or wont there be an extended range version with the droptanks? It would be a cool feature (and more realistic  then say the all AIM-9X load out) 4. Do you guys need any pictures of a dutch Apache? I took some close up images of one at the last airshow near where I live. I could put them online if you want too Tschuss! EDIT: Here is one of the images click me It's not a full walkaround but it has good images of this side

Why Does the USMC use the Ah-1Z?

    1. Because the F-18 owns the Rafale. 2. Three reasons the first is F-15/F-16/F22 are better at air to air, the A-10 warthog is better at air to ground, and the AV-8B sucks ass, why do you think the Marines have been trying to get rid of it. 3. First of all because their retired, and second because once again the F-18 fills that role better. 4. list them Im sure theres answers 1. I think that's rather simplistically put. The F-18 and Rafale are from different generations, I think 1 v 1 the Rafale has the upper hand. 2. The Harrier is the only aircraft that could takeoff from the smaller helicopter sized carriers that the USMC use. None of the aircraft you listed could ever be operational from such a small ship. If the harrier is being WFU-ed (which might be just another fad, the times I havent heard USAF officials say that the A-10's days were numbered) it is mainly because they expect to be replacing them with the JSF. 3. Agreed. 4. Let's hope you don't over simplify those answers too.

Ask a moderator about the forum and the rules

I wouldn't mind the image size limit being made larger, on the other hand I can life with the 100kb limit just fine. Making exceptions for certain threads seems a bit daft, it only makes the rules more confusing. Besides who's to decide which thread is exempt or not? Can-o-worms

What have you sacrificed for ArmA/OFP?

Wow...BIS not only gets credit for my love life, but also for saving a life? Thats actually not funny. Â I hope your kidding. Â Losing people you care about to suicide leaves a wake of pain or those left behind. Â I really didn't want to stomp on the humor that was on a roll, but i have lost to many people in my life not to be affected by that post. good point, if you feel strongly enough to commit suicide because of a video game (which isnt even a flightsim PFRST) you need to talk to a mental care professional Suicide is never an answer to anything.

Nice airshow pics Killagee! That F-16 is a C type btw, it has the fat tailbase and the newer type exhaust. Avalon07FA-18FSuper-Hornet1.jpg could use a little more contrast and less blue. Overall nice images and some really nice planes, seeing an operational F-111 is a real rarity these days, the aussies must be the only ones still operating them. I'd love to see more of them! BTW did you get any detail photography? :P Always need that for my profiles My most recent photographs were a lot more subdued. though technically speaking it is a Tomcat :P My newest (I allready have three) cat, a norwegian forest cat kitten. Right now he is a rather unimpressive 10 cm's high but he has lots of personality and in the end he should grow to the size of a reasonable sized poodle (phear!, doesn't have a name yet. And his sister, which I also bought, a bit more timid then the little guy but very affectionate and I thought it would be fun for them to have a cat of the same age to play with as the rest of my cats are a bit older. And now for some Cat "Biffo" (borrowing Killagee's term here! ) Looks like the little guy is winning but actually she beat the crap out of him after the picture was taken

    Music Recommendations

Been listening to Neil Young a bit more recently, one of my favorites is a song called "Eldorado". It's from the album "Freedom" released in 1989 It's a wonderfull song with lyrics that seem to tell an entire story with each line, one of my favorite parts: I love stuff like that Other Neil favorites of mine ATM: <ul> [*]Cortez the Killer [*]Powderfinger [*]Don't Let it bring you down

About 10 vs 8 mp ... tell me one thing, How often have you printed a picture at A3 size ? If the answer is never then you pbb dont need a 10mp camera over a 8 mp camera

I only put filters on when I need them and I have never scratched a single lens. Its not like I am carefull with my lenses, they get banged around light aircraft interiors quite a bit during turbulence and I take my camera to bars too (I drink too on those occasions). Perhaps I am just insanely lucky but my results in the lottery disprove that theory.
