I don't know about joining a racing team, but I would definitely stop by for some good clean racing if you were to host some.

Thanks man! Much appreciated.

Really great job guys. One small gripe though..... Is there a way to get rid of the stepping sound when leaning ("crunch" everytime you lean)? If not cut it out completely, then lower the volume slightly? This might be a question for Sanctuary since he made the anims, but if you guys know of an answer, please respond. If I remember correctly, that sound was disabled in TOYOTAWARS. It gets annoying when you have to press lean a few times, because you weren't positioned correctly the first time. If it requires editing a file, that's ok, because it's being used in a private server anyway, not public. On a side note, (sorry if this has been answered or mentioned, but...) are you guys planning on WGL for ArmA? I really hope so, because you guys do REALLY GOOD work.

Yea, I have the pedals separate. Do you know if it is possible to set deadzones in RBR? I think I tried setting the deazone with DXTweak a while back, but that didn't work.
-
I have the same 20% deadzone thing on the throttle with my DFP PRO. I'll have to try your method and see if it works, thanks. About RBR......... How do you calibrate your pedal in game? I load up a track and everything is fine, but after a certain amount of laps or changing courses, my brake pedal goes from "about" 0-50% without touching the pedal. In every other racing sim, there is an option in game to set the deadzone higher, but in RBR I don't see an option. So, how/can you set deadzones with RBR?

Now that is a GREAT idea.

I just hope you are still seriously thinking about digital distribution for the “other guysâ€. I don’t have a dvd-rom, so I would rather download the game then buy a dvd-rom for it. Yea, yea, I know, it’s 2006 and I don’t have a dvd-rom, but up until this point, there hasn’t been one instance where I actually needed one. If a US date is late or never comes (would be very suprising) at least a lot of people can get the game online or as an import.

Errr.........I think those banners are a bad idea. It’s one thing to photoshop ingame screenshots, but renders are a totally different story. It’s almost like advertising that the game has “crysis†like graphics (especially banner 6). I know it’s “only a banner†but, I still don’t like. My .02 cents.

Pretty much sums it up.

Man, that would be awesome!

I thought they were trying to make the default view distance about 1600m , if not closer to 2000m. So you actually have the press version? How does it run on your system (Avg. fps and what are you computer specs., ect....)?
-
Where are these pics coming from? Are these from BIS or did they hand newer press demos out at GC? And is it just me, or is the view distance shrinking as the game progresses? It might just be overcast, but I just hope they're not putting too much eye candy that will make the default view distance lower then what was planned.

I think it's great that they are including 3d sights. They just need to be closer to the screen (like others are saying) and need to be blured like in the screenshot meyamoti just posted.

crap! i just started listening and it's ending!! ahhhh
-
Let's hope so. Jk of course.

Thx for that link. I really do want to see it in action though.
-
Has there been any VISUAL proof of that? (buildings, not bridges)
-
denoir, you can't post all that and not tell us how much it costs
-
I'm very suprised to be EXACTLY at the "recommended" specs. I still have my doubts about performance at these specs., but we'll see.

Damn, they look like football players, lol. I must say though, the graphics look pretty damn good.
-
Wasn't the Guba model a little fatter than the rest? Or was it just texturing..? Hey, watch it! He was just a little....."big boned".
-
lol, I would guess the intentional use would be for driving/flying only. I would hope not for on foot

They won’t be making a total conversion WWII expansion, because that would be too much work for too little financial gain. That’s why they’re making (I see it as a full conversion mod called...) BF2142. Then wait ~4 months and you’ll have an expansion or “booster-pack†that adds very little. Then ~4 more months expect the same thing. Then ~4-6 months from then, they’ll announce they’re new game (maybe BFWWII and probably on the same engine). I mean hell, BF2 was only released just over a year ago. It sounds like the BF series might turn into EA’s sport franchises with annual releases.

Instead of spending a lot for just one, you could buy two "cheapy's". I have two CyberPower's (585AVR and 625AVR). I would use one, but there isn't enough space for a monitor+computer+other stuff (6 slots), plus a monitor+computer is too much for it, so I have my monitor+other stuff on one and my computer+other stuff on the other. Either way, spend some time looking around..... http://www.newegg.com/ProductSort/Subcategory.asp?Subcategory=72
