Does he have any firewall programs running? I've had this problem with zonealarm being on EVEN with permissions set to allow ArmA to access. I've also had problems with windows firewall too.

Don't use the 169.21 drivers. I've used them and had nothing but crashes, so I switched back to the default 169.09 and problems gone. My specs, Pilat 8800gt 1g ram video card and cheap here in Canada.

I've had nothing but problems ( freezing, ctds etc... ) with 169.21. I did a walmart roll back to 169.09 that came with the card and no problems ever since. 169.21 = bad driver for ArmA

Go with an intel c2 duo E6750 and 2g of good ram and you'll be plenty happy. I'm coming from and AMD fx-60 o'cld to 3.0 and at stock speeds with the E6750, it's much faster and smoother. I've been an AMD fan since my 1800 and reluctantly switched back to intel after 5-6 yrs. You can't beat the performance intel has over AMD right now, unfortunately.

I have the same problem as you s_hole. Do you get an error message saying something about survivers not found etc...?

But if you use a delete dead bodies script, doesn't it mean you can keep using zombies when the dead are deleted, like recycling?

Have you tried Yomies zombies? I got them to work in DAC but they do the same thing you experience, lay down when being shot at. I think that it has to do with DAC and how it configures units behaviours and I'm not sure it's easily fixed.

I had the same problem with warping and changed the MinErrorToSend value to = 0.000001, and the warping was cut down drastically. I can actuallly snipe people at 1000m + now. You did put the values in armacfg right? What are you using for a dedicated server? I'm using an AMD X2 4800 dualcore with 2G ram and it works way better than my old AMD 3800 single core.

Just wanted to say that this is a great mission. It's a nice change from EVO. Great mission! Have you managed to implement DAC into this mission? And after playing for 3 + hours on lan with 3 others, the zombies appeared to dry up. We went around to everytown twice, walked around and still no more spawning of zombies. Possible bug? I only switched respawn to instant from base. Also, you might want to move or eliminate some of those ammocrates at the gun dealer by the docks because if you angle correctly you can get free weapons. Like I said, great mission hope to see updates soon.

Dwarden, I get the lod and texture bug too with a 8800gt 1 gig ram pilat with 169.06 drivers. I've tried the newer drivers but didn't play for that long and didn't notice it. This mostly occurs in EVO 3.0 on Lan with 3 others and usually after 30 mins (we all get it). I've tried all suggestions except the -vm108, which I'll try later tonight. Keep in mind this really doesn't gameplay that much, it's just annoying. Like my friend said " what other games are this ambitious in scope and gameplay? I can live with a few bugs and engine limitations."

I got that same error on two different machines last night and made it go away by turning down textures, shading and object details down to normal. I've also lowered my refresh rate on both lcd monitors to 60 mz. Anything higher, whether the screens support it or not seems to cause memory tears, especially when looking at the map and only after a few minutes of playing. I've tried turning vsync on, off and app controlled and same problem of crashing or severe stuttering and lockups. Lets hope 1.09 final is better. I haven't tried the -vm108 setting but will test it tonight.

I have the same thing happening to me as funkee with the "Good birds don't fly away from this game, I have only myself to blame", and it occured while playing Evo red on Lan with 3 different computers. And yes I have 3 legit copies( 1- metaboli, 2- UK release, 3- US release). Come to think of it, could it be because I'm using one of the copies as a server connected to by the three? I hope not , it never happened before this. I've installed 1.09 according to the readme and know it works cause I get no errors. On a side note and on topic, I'm also having lod bugs and slow texture loading the longer I play the game and it seems worse the longer I play and I've tried all the suggestions on how to eliminate this from low to high settings. Sys specs: Amd FX60 oc'd @ 2.8 , 2 gigs corsair ram, win xp 32 sp2, palit 8800gt 1 gig ram @ stock speeds. I just upgraded from the ati 1900xtx 512 ram and it ram smooth as butter with less slowdowns and lag with 1.08. I really hope they find a way to fix the texture loading problems as this just kills the game for me but other than the texture problems, fantastic game BIS.

Did you install any addons recently? That could be your problem, a conflict with the game from an addon.

Is that part of Jean Christophe's panzer pack? How hard was it to convert them into ArmA? Any chance of sharing them and yes I'll keep them private also?

Try this it is easier You can enable classic control panel even in new drivers (im using 158.22 on XP) by adding to registry: in "HKLM\SOFTWARE\NVIDIA Corporation\Global\NvCplApi\Policies" add DWORD key named "SedonaDisable" and set its value to 2. After that in control panel there will be option to use classic control panel and voila...

I tried it works both ways using the shortcut method in the exe -mod=lowplants or using kegety's launcher and it works.

Right Click My Computer Select Advanced tab Select Performance Settings Select Advanced tab Select Virtual memory - Change Click the radar button that says No Page File, ok, and reboot. It could cause issues for other programs and windows could stop operating so be aware of that before you make changes especially if you are not that computer literate. The best advice for the pagefile I heard was 1. Make the size min to max the same (stops it constantly chanign its size) 2. Have the paging file on a separate disk preferably the fastest one and different from your o/s. Hope this helps

Kiljoy, Norrin's rev/res script enables the dead to spawn at certain locations of their choosing if noone is able to get to them. In the Black Sword mission this was disabled. Basically, if you die and noone is within the 200m radius or is able to get to you without dying, you can choose to respawn back at the base. Hence, there would be no need to disconnect and reconnect, you would just hit the "respawn 1 " button and boom your back at base. This would appeal to fans of both revive and no revive. The best of both worlds. The script is really amazing, with so many chooseable parameters, you NEED to check it out.

Yes , that's what I did and it works fine.

I use the three now for Lan and it's the only game myself and friends play and I have GRAW1 and 2 and R6Vegas and we don't lookat them anymore <-- wasted money on them

Try taking a few shots at the su34 or kamov and see what happens. I've tried both and both times they've made a bee line for me and shot me dead. If you leave them alone, they'll leave you alone, unless your in or near a vehicle.
