Here in the US where you have to go through a nutroll in most states to get the right to carry I would imagine most people don't pay ~$250 just for the right to carry a firearm legally on their body to use it in an illegal manner. So the vast majority of conceal carry permit holders are law-abiding citizens and will only use their weapon for what it is intended for: self defense and self defense only. On the contrary most of the people I have met that carry in my area are level-headed law-abiding citizens that carry for their own protection. While there may be better ways to reduce violence it is a sure sign that conceal carry laws work when the only places left with high violence crime are those places without right to carry. Being afraid of a national conceal carry is ludicrous. If everyone was armed and for the right reasons the only people that would have to worry are the criminals. Where I live it has gotten to the point where criminals specifically target areas with gunbuster signs ( no lawfully obtained conceal carry weapon holders allowed ) because the likelihood of anyone having a firearm is substantially less then elsewhere.

The bladed stance is good for accuracy though if you are wearing body armor + plates if you get shot it is much better to give your armor a chance to do its job and save you from having a round tumbling around in your body. What the more modern "squared" stance you can engage targets to your weak/support side more quickly without changing your footing and you don't suffer as much from losing your ability to engage accurately if you decide to engage during a mag transfer.

I haven't tried the new patch but I was very disappointed that after all of the "It will be released when its done" bullshit they ended up releasing the game with more bugs then I actually experienced in Beta 1 through 4. However with quick updates they have managed to fix many of the major bugs including an effects.dll error that caused the game to crash when things blew up. You can imagine how much of a hair puller that was in a game where you blow crap up. There are still some issues with the game such as headings calls for inbound aircraft to airfields ( notably Batumi ). Also wacky things like rolling on mud for 1-5 seconds at a reasonable speed will cause your wheels to blow at 120+ kias. But all in all it is a great game that can leave you with a buzz not experienced since fulda gap scenarios in the 80's.
