I don't really think its a biggie that we don't get missions for the opfor pack...to be honest I'm still waiting for the "beef" of this BAS week..ie Delta/Rangers update and the littlebird updates. I honestly probally wouldn't even bother playin a mission for the opfor stuff...it's just african opfor reskinned and the scud is all but useless unless ur using it and I don't see any mission made where u drive a scud and have to blow up a long distance target...so it no biggie just waiting on the big stuff

FDF hands down..nothing comes close especially not the tonal campaign theres too many you versus the world missions for the campaign samething with CSLA2(and those crazy long intros and the same tired..you must kill the "evil" russians for not apparent reason bs)..go with FDF if your looking for a GREAT campaign

I definately don't have the skill to, but would BAS mind if someone else made PJs or airforce pilots to go with the pavehawks...I only ask because I don't really see these gettin much "realistic" use for missions as the are now...

anyone got some high res pics of the real Gunship Grey Pavie in action?I might be wrong but I don't think air force special operations uses the MH-60 airframe any more I think the only airframe they use in the AFSOC community is the MH-53....I think air combat command is the only air force organization still using the -60 airframe..might be wrong though

While I think that making an addon to be released to the public using work that another person has made without taking the courtesy of asking permission is inconsiderate and against the idea of co-operative sharing that has made the end-user community flourish. I wouldn't have any compunctions about fiddling with an addon for my own personal use.I actually like this addon, I'll be able to discard the weapon pack and re-write the cpp to use default bis or whatever weapons I want and retain the relatively small unit addon for my own personal use. All politics aside.
It would have sucked if they had included fifty million other types of units all into one pbo. All in all I think they're good. Not incredibly high poly, yet they don't look awful. So that's just perfect for me.

I don't need some pompous twit telling me how to play a game. I want to be able to do what I want with it. I know I'll never play CSLA. It sounds like those guys are just stroking their E-penises rather than trying to benefit the community. That's more despicable than liberating a few textures here and there. I don't know how anyone can justify protecting their addons when the very game that the addons are being made for are possible because the game company itself was open minded enough to allow people to make modifications.
ORCS, BAS, DKMM. Like I give a shit where it comes from. Whether I find it enjoyable to use is the key and only issue. I don't care if Saddam Hussein started making OFP addons. If they're enjoyable. I'd still like them.

well, in this board it seems to be the norm...I just wish people would congradulate people on jobs well done and leave it at that...no, they have to accuse them...it just annoys me alittle..maybe the F#ck comment was alittle over the top..but have u seen other forums for other gaming communities...people are nice there and they respect each other..it seems like everytime I come here..some else is arguing or accusing someone..it's just a GAME...sorry if I flipped out alittle earlier...lol

my lack of knowledge on the M-4 has puzzled me lately.. THE MAJORITY of the pics i have seen from iraq from the 82nd Airborne and 101st are M-4A1's.. it says it in the pics and i cant find anymore info on the 3rd burst M4 in the ARMY NOW can you attach acog and reflex scopes to the "M-4" because thats all i see now is either M16's or M-4A1's.and the M-8 should go into full production in 2005 and should hit the field as early as 2006. got this from an article on yahoo a times back. it got good reviews from soldiers, lightweight and hardly any recoil.
dude, the M4 used by regular units is NOT full auto capable.I don't how else to put it...Its just a common misconception..as for sights...they are capable of holding all the sights any M4 could use. As for the M16A4 one of my friends how is deployed downrange with the 1st Armored (which is army) has mentioned some of his buddies in his squad are now using A4s so I'm not sure if it's just a marine thing or not...when I email him again..I'll ask him again to be sure...

I like Earls weapons too and they are the best our there..I was just sayin since M4s were being suggested that not every grunt outta basic is issued a ninjaed out M4..if they get one it's the 3 round burst version..so maybe a modding of Earls M4 would work...but yeah I agree his weapons are the best we've seen as a community

So should I make troops with MOLE or ALICE i would prefer MOLE becuase i don't need to model but perhaps if i don't become to busy I'll make '85 woodland troops and '91 gulf troops with ALICEyou should take your time at it, one step at a time... make them with whatever they use now.. o and i noticed in your pics they all have M16's... not a good idea because most units have already started using nothing but the M4.. i think Earl's regular M4 and the Grenade Launchers variants are the best choice to put on the soldiers... just equip all of them with the regular M4. leave it to mission makers to put all the optics on or whatever.

actually against popular belief..the M16 is still widely used by the army...the regular M4(3 round burst capable) is used mostly by the airborne, 10th mountain and some others...maybe a mix would be better than giving every soldier an M4 or M16 and make sure if you use an M4 it's 3 round burst...only special operation units use the full auto capable versions..

Spencer...actually for the air force its AFSOC (air force special operations command) and the 160th SOAR is an Army oganization...best helo drivers in the world Â

Isn't the 75th still counted under USSOC?yes or you can call it SOCOM(Special Operations Command), JSOC(Joint Special Operations Command) all talking pretty much about the same organization located in Tampa, FL..I'm sure someone will be along to clarify it even more

Mspener, I know u meant the air force comment as a joke..but actually the airforce is testing tiger strip camo now..only a VERY are using it to see if it fits the airforce image...kinda wierd if I do say so....the marines come up with one Idea and everyone wants to jump on the band wagon

I'd be more interested if he polished up/made new versions of all those ground addons he made way back.I'm sorry but jet after jet after jet being released maybe interesting to a point but they arent all that fun to use IMO.

I too would like to see that finished along with the updated L-birds, ranger/delta pack, SEALs and the pavehawk(what happened to that anyway I thought there was like %2 left or something)...anywho..with time they'll all be done hopefully
