    Does it just boil down to us and them? That one American outweighs countless Iraqi's? Is it so simple as that they are not one of us? The South Korean beheading hardly got the outrage that the Americans did. Why is that? Because he's not "one of us"?

    Damn Straight! I wouldn't save 1000 iraqis if it meant one American soldier would have to die for it...and anyone who says the contrary can kiss my ass...I'm getting sick of people making excuses for terrorists(not saying anyone on this board is) and bashing American just to be bashing Americans. There is a difference between them our civilians and us killing iraqi civilians or whatever...we are not aiming to kill civlians..they are going out and looking for the weakest, easiest target they can find and beheading them..there is no excuse for it and its not the same freaking thing...and if someone post pictures or videos of ANY innocent civilian being beheaded...they themselves should be put on the chopping block..period

    At least 4 SAS members surrendered to the Iraqis during the Gulf War (Bravo Two Zero anyone?) Special Forces have also been captured or forced to capitulate in other conflicts as well.

    Special Forces are simply better trained soldiers. They are not suicidal, and will surrender in a losing situation. I think you've been watching too many films.

    Gollum1 and Badger, you have no clue...have you ever in your life known or for that fact met an operator..my guess is probaly not...no one is calling them super human but they are a cut WELL above the rest and if you did slightly what there about you would understand where I'm coming from..."surrender is not an option" is not just a cheap slogan its a way of life of the few men that I have had the honor to meet and know over the years...we all know the Bravo Two Zero story and we also know there were circumstances that got those few men captured...how many American Special operations soldiers have been captured over the years in war...since Vietnam? Try NONE I can't speak for other countries but those are the facts for here and before someone mentions the SEAL in afghanistan he did not surrender he was damn near tackled when he had run out of ammunition and executed by those bastards..I can assure u the words I surrender I quit or  I surrender never came out of his mouth.. And besides this all British marines and sailors captured have been identified..their not SAS..SBS..MI6 or some super secret unit..their just a bunch of brave allies who had a very bad day..and hopefully they'll be home soon...

    well, billybob...since your a bush nazi..I doubt we'll agree on much biggrin_o.gif but I do agree with you that the bastards causing trouble in iraq are probally not iraqis....it doesn't make much since for them to be threatning their own freedom at this point the more Allies that get killed the longer we're likely to have to stay which isn't what the average iraqi wants..my bet is most of these guys being foriengers too...there you got me to agree with ya... tounge_o.gif

    Hi all,

    Regarding the 8 British 'Soldiers' being held captive, the Iranians showed footage of the weapons seized. They had the craft, plus sidearms.

    A M4, and M16/203.......

    Regular troops carry SA-80's, but British Special Forces carry M4's and 203's. Looks like 8 SBS guys got picked up!

    (Special Boat Service. The naval version of the SAS)

    LOL...u honestly believe that...if by chance they were SBS or SAS, the news would be talking about a BUNCH of dead iranians in a border clash with unknown forces

And if by minute chance they were SBS..why would they have to be on a mission to start a war? there is this thing called reconnaissance, there have been rumors of the iranians moving forces near the border of iran and iraq. But I'm sure we'll find out for sure these guys were just run of the mill sailors trying to deliever equipment to the new Iraqi navy or coast guard...and all the conspiracy freaks will fade away

    LOL, what im saying is that when he barely got power and needed lots of troops to fight iran he used them. Thus they are citezens if they fought in saddam's army.

    No he had to let them cause if he tried to take that land back he would get his ass kicked by f-16s(no-fly zone). Its a rugged area too so he would need helos, but they would be shot down(no-fly zone) even without them he couldnt do anything(again no-fly zone=protect kurds). If he had such a piss poor army why did revolts in the N and S fail so miserably? Clearly his army was capable enough of putting them down.

    They may be no marines, but he has used his conscripts effectively in the past.

    First off I'm not anti-war...there is a huge difference between fighting for something and fighting for NOTHING which is what happens now...life is way too valuable...you think about that tommorow when the news starts reporting on the death of more brave serviceman and women(I hope and pray there will not be) It's sooo much easier for people who have no clue! don't know anything about nor even know a service member to be like "yeah let's invade" do you know what's it like being glued to the news hoping to find out something about your friends and family who are off fighting a REAL war not OFP or full spectrum warrior or whatever..if you don't I hope you never do cause it SUX ALOT...before you go off calling people "anti-war" commies and what not...volunteer yourself to take one of my comrades place over there in that shit hole then we can talk....

    -CAUTION RANT!-

    President Bush is full of @@@@(feel in the letters yourself) I regret the fact that I helped this guy get in office everyday...We invaded a country we  didn't need to...Iraq was about as much threat to this country as Mexico is PERIOD. I'm getting sick of of this die hard republicans saying we're better off with saddam gone..try telling that to the 900+ and counting AMERICAN men and women who have died in a war that started because some prick wanted to get revenge on for his daddy.  I just wish people in uniform could share their true opinions about their commander in chief and I pray to God that he's out of office before I sign on the dotted line...Bush is the perfect example of why someone who ain't never  been in combat should NEVER be commander in chief.  One of my friends deployed in the sandbox called two weeks ago and was pissed with the "stop loss" (another ingenius army idea..go army!!..NOT) and how they were lied to..his entire company is voting against that prick in office now.  And don't get me even started on the economy..yeah we're recovering right...lol.  We are MORE in danger of attack than we were before we went in..Afghanistan, The Phillipines and whatever other places we are in covertly the back burner. We don't have enough man power..Rumsfield can't seem to understand 2+2=4 not 5.  If North Korea just decided tommorow to cross the border we'd be fucked for lack of a better word they'd push us into the sea before forces from(what a minute..where would they come from? mad_o.gif ) could turn the tide if possible and the same thing with China and Iran.  The war on terror has turned into Bush's pissing contest and I hope Kerry pisses all over his face in November..A-FREAKIN-MEN!!

    and by the way I ain't a democrat..just someone who votes for what I think is right not just because of the party he belongs to..I wish more of my country men would vote with that common sense...
