Windows media (100k/s) Real Player (100k/s) (sorry, the vid screen format is awfully small but we'll soon get bigger ones) here are some visuals for paper medias : (Band of Brothers rip off anyone ? the caption means : "a job that's more than a job") (you'll learn a job, but moreover you'll learn about yourself) (even when our kitchens are closed, our cooks are ready to help *or maybe, "stay open"*) (Europe, Africa, Asia: the radio operator job can definitely make you go far in life) (we will do anything to help you rise fast) (rare are the companies where your coworkers never miss an occasion to support you) (without any contest, we give you the meens to go forward) the TV spot has been first aired this week-end and the visual ads above are starting to appear in my opinion, it's not bad at all, especially compared to what the com. departments of our armed forces did recently

use the two and get the best results a grenade launcher going off isn't too quiet
-
That's not the point. As said by baron before, you don't know from where it's fired and can mistake it with anything from the light mortar bombing to the auto-cannon fire or even a landmine. You won't give away your position and you're likely to cause confusion within enemy ranks.

Description The BS-1 30 mm silenced grenade launcher has appeared under the designation RGA-86 in Russian literature, but it appears that BS-1 is more widely accepted in Russia. Regardless of designation, the Russians have developed an innovative silenced grenade launcher for use by special operations forces. The BS-1 is always seen mounted on a suppressed version of the 5.45 mm AKS-74U short assault rifle differentiated from the standard AKS-74U by a leather flap that fits on the forestock of the weapon and covers the BS-1 mount when the launcher is not installed; the designation AKS-74UB has been used for this rifle. A silenced grenade launcher is of great utility in a close combat situation as it not only reduces sound, but also reduces flash and smoke. BS-1 launch cartridges are magazine fed using a bolt action and utilise a special star crimped cartridge. The grenade is muzzle loaded, as with other RFAS underbarrel grenade launchers, but there the similarity ends. Although there has been no explanatory literature as to the functioning of the BS-1, certain aspects of its operation can be deduced. The BS-1 launcher has a large containment chamber behind the barrel with a piston that launches the VOG-T HEAT grenade. The expanding gases of the launch cartridge propel the piston rapidly forward, pushing the grenade from the launcher muzzle. The piston obturates against a shoulder inside the containment chamber and, after the grenade is launched, the gases bleed off quickly enough to allow for a relatively rapid follow-up shot. Specifications Calibre: 30 mm Operation: manual, muzzle loaded; launch cartridges fed from detachable box magazine Weight: ca 1.5 kg Length: ca 320 m Effective range: ca 100 m Armour penetration: ca 125 mm RHA Manufacturer: Russian state factories. Status: In production. Text Information from Janes Infantry Weapons

However it seems to me that this war has been actually going on for years, not that it's been leading up to it for 15, I'm sure it's been leading up to it just as long. Well, this war is a long lasting mess in Poutine's backyard, not up to me to stick my nose in it.

Its a grenade launcher, not 100% sure of its name/designation, but i think it might be the VOG-25. Not 100% sure tho, but I do know its defiantely a grenade launcher. no, the VOG-25 is the one pictured on basic bis grenadiers for exemple

crisis in algeria was brewing since the end of WW2 with the appearance of independentist groups, it took something like 15 years to reach the flashpoint of the crisis which led to war

Yes. But afaik not official. (But i don't know the exact name of what they are "doing" in Chechnya). Anyway ... it's a realy bad (and i think dangerouse) sitation in russia ... in the past and now. And it is feared that the future won't be better if they can't find a solution with the Chechnyans. You guys keep talking like chechniya is another country or anything that i sbeing invaded. ITS NOT its a republic which is a part of the russian federation thus russia is allowed to hold military operations against illegal terrorist groups. Chechniya will never be resolved in the near future, just too much money in it. It is being invaded, what are you talking about... when APC's and troops roll in and are being challenged it means it is being invaded. If the muslims want independence then why don't you leave them alone? If Quebec here wants independence they can have it... You still have a war. Enjoy. with a signle state leaving the federation, the federation will implode and i'm sure there are some economical interests around ..... guess why we fought to keep Algeria while we gave Morocco and Tunisia their independance ..... once the fights in Algeria were almost "done" and troubles starting in other colonies, we've been forced to give most of our colonies in Africa to avoid any more trouble and stay in good terms with puppet regimes we have had set up

could we have a list of the weapons and ammo names used on the F16 and IL28 ?

Again, I am not claiming anything and I would hope that if 90% of the people are against the war, then Chirac should have and did oppose it. In fairness to Mr. Charles Pasqual (the former French Interior Minister) listed in the original report here is his replyBBC I wonder what other "former ministers" he is talking about. it's Charles Pasqua .... impopular bastard lacking integrity in my Punk years, we used to spit on his photograph the only thing he was good at was fighting terrorism, he killed the Action Directe group and helped a lot in the liberation of hostages in Lebanon, these two actions were his only sources of popularity, for the youth at least the name of Pasqua appeared in several Justice files including illegal arms trade with Angola, illegal political parties financing and the list goes on ... but heck he has some Corse blood in his veins. i guess that's a good excuse ...

How is that related with the conflict going on in Iraq ? How is the situation any worst than the pure chaos reigning in both Afghanistan and Iraq ? How is that any worst than supporting the Saudis ? (ok, they dind't cause genocides but ...) Now i'll try to word this correctly to avoid to get myself banned or to a getting a warning. We're bound to act in this place of the world because of our historical and cultural links with these countries. We're damned if we do and damned if we don't. It's a fact that our economical bonds with Ivory Coast force us to establish some kind of stability, and you can only do that by "supporting" the power in place, but in this case it's more of maintaining a status quo, because with a single state imploding in the region, you get a single huge venomous spiders nest. For exemple, early last month, a part of the french troops on spot have been moved to the north in the Férkéssédougou, Korhogo and Katiola triangle to preserve one of the main economical axis between the Burkina Faso and the towns of Bouaké and Abidjan. By maintaining stability in the country, or trying to reach it, we try to maintain stability in the whole region. on the subject of french army killing innocents in west and central Africa : Iv'e taken part in the Licorne operation in I.C. and Artémis in D.R.C., the casualties caused by the French army were almost all if not all completely right full and obeying to strict ROE's, i've had the occasion to be taken in a few skirmishes against hostile Rebel forces (we naturally tried to avoid any confrontation with governmental forces in the preliminary steps of the deployment). Labelling us as gung-ho or trigger happy is quite wrong. Especially when you have no experience of French military (yes i have served along with US troops on several operation theatres and i'll refrain myself from doing any comment .....) Just don't project your government's and military's own failures on the rest of the world, will you ? By the way i wouldn't actually give a fuck about the ramblings of most of the rebels (they have a serious cause to defend, and if they had the money to pay the trip for me, i'd go with them , on my free time, naturally) who are just a bunch of retarded stonies who can't do shit except maiming civilians and playing around the enemy dead bodies. Mind you, the rebels (young ones at least) ask for an american intervention in the region ... while OBL is one of their idols .... contradictions exist everywhere in Africa and we can't wait for anybody to make decisions and get a point in this region, simply because it will either don't work or end up in a civil/tribal war. Gbagbo in this case is a nasty bastard promoting an ultra-nationalist policy including ethnic cleansing, but he's the lesser of the two evils when it comes to regional stability and economical interests

i saw only one of those, the one with the truck on the mined road, in the following commercial, they shown 1 possibility which was to use the poles or whatever on the side of the road, but by climbing on the poles pile, the soldiers made one fall on the road and triggered a mine or two, the second and good solution was playing minesweeper with your bayonet nice ones, didn't it boost up the enlistment rate in UK ?

when i remember about the "Apprendre Å•" campaign by the Navy in 2001 or the 2003 one which made the navy look like the Club Med well ...... and the past Army TV Spot (99 one) was a bit lame i'd say .... it was all about fighting units rushing in without much message The 2003 ones were a bit better but weren't too "catching" just like the other media coverages, they were based on not-so-good pictures with not-so-good catch phrases the 2004/2006 campaign is much more elaborate in my opinion and it shows a bit more creativity
