well .... seeing police officers climbing onto the olympic buildings with "random" weapons and zero to no protection ... assaulting the terrorists while they're boarding the helicopters without the correct gear and by scaring shitless the tangos ... I remember some video tapes shown for "educationnal reasons", it all looked like "mister bean in the police playing with guns" Hopefully the german government took the right measures and created the GSG9 .... which illustrated itself and wrote its name in golden letters on the big fat history book of the world's best intervention units 5 years after its creation during the 17/10/1977 plane hijacking in Mogadiscio when 4 Palestinian terrorists who had hijacked a 737 which had germany as destination saw the death in the shape of GSG9 operatives with their famous (but now retired) blue outfits.

As a frenchman, i'm not really able to answer (I have some kind of bias you know ...)
-
don't forget about us ....

Nobody (from the reactions) did not believe that he will pull out this early. That he pull out the Spanish troops in June not April. What does it change ? really ? it's just one less member in the coallition ... nothing a bunch of National Guards can't replace. It's your war after all.

heh....you suck... j/k Seriously, what are you trying to saying.... Aznar went against the will of his people, Zapatero then put things back in order following his electors' will.

I f you wanna train a dog, you may want to choose something in Polymole. But you could also buy some Moleskine trousers (moleskine trousers which can do as good if not better as the BDU's)
-
A good soldier doesn't dirty his boots with anything other than mud, dirt and dust.

I have a french site which sells both Pärks and chinese import BDU pieces. The price for a Parks is of about 49€ and for a chinese import one, it's 23€. I've bought a couple of complete BDU sets for this summer (black and grey with trousers and vest) and they're quite nice, good quality too. the site is USMC pro some of my latest acquisitions : BDU vest Generic black skirt Grey generic t-shirt Black BDU trousers I'm thinking about getting my hands on some good old Palladium shoes for this summer too, either black or brown : Palladium shoes (click on "Palladium" near the desk lamp to access a menu showing most of the firm's collection) Palladium doesn't really make combat boots anymore, but they've been for quite some time been considered as official combat boots brand of the french foreign legion . They do boots since 1947 and the general design hasn't really changed (except for the latest "fashion" shoes). It's just a canvas body put on a rubber sole, but it still does it as a summer boot (especially the lower ones, unlike the two first pairs with buckles I've shown)

click here (25mb .avi) Weird take off procedures, and are there any speed limit on African tracks ? You'll have guessed this video is about planes and one plane in particular : the Mirage F1. Old bird still serving vaillantly

could have also been a stupid bet

It's an Offspring song, can't remember which one though.

Since the video shows Mirage F1's, I think I have to tell a few ords about the Voltige Victor team. The 10th of march last year, on the Reims Armée de l'Air base, the 2003 crew of this aerobatics team died during a routine sortie when the two planes collided in mid-air, the proximity with the ground prevented the ejection seats to do what they were ment for. The Team "Voltige Victor“, famous for the extremely close formations if did, was always a welcome guest at all the airshows in Europe these last years .

I'm not sure but I think it's been filmed in Chad. Well, when you see the landscape, you can understand that the flyboys can get easily bored (I love the first sequence when the mirage makes a lowflying pass over the people and the dog )

NOW HEAR THIS!!! e: We now have sufficient evidence that France is plotting to take over the world. No, it's not a joke. that's not new, why do you think we developped a huge nuclear weaponry program and so fashionable BDU and gear items ?? Because that is the only way you can beat the germans. Short ranged combat you always lost? heh, that was because of faulty leadership . not that we're better off with Chirac but hell .... we'll launch our shit on Berlin if ever you try to break into our borders once more

Hmmmmmmm............. don't forget about the US Sheridans the Gendarmerie armored units back when they were at their height, were able to offer a quite nice light armored force to counter airborne attacks and to enforce roadblocks, show off on military parades and put an awfull mess in the country
-
most of the people serving in Police and Gendarmerie are OK, just don't mess around with them if you don't know them or you may regret it they got rights you don't have
-
heh, you're welcome, just pay your parking place if you don't want a VBC90 to roll over your car . that kind of things you know The Gendarmerie has been given "heavily" armed armored vehicles to counter possible russian airborne armored vehicles, the VBC90 is a developpement of the VAB (it keeps about 80% of its components in common with its older army brother), the Gendarmerie keeps it due to the "coolness factor" and some fat macho ego -edit-: The Gendarmerie has been issued AML90 and 60 before the VBC90 and AMX13 before the AML's, and Shermans before the AMX13's
