Had ArmA a while, all patched up and game runs fine. The only problem I have is occasional crashes where my entire system locks up to the point of having to hold down the power button to power off. Over time I have realised that these lock ups only occur when I am in a helo. Doesn't matter if I am pilot or not. I've had crashes in SP missions, official and user made, Evolution when I've been a passenger. Crashes have happened with both BI content and also with RHS's superb Hind but ALWAYS where a helo is involved. I can play for hours infantry missions etc. Anyone else had this problem? Any suggestions appreciated as it is now getting somewhat annoying.

I think I'd prefer a boxed game tbh.. its a bit concerning that 3 weeks before the supposed release date and its not on any big US sites and not even on the Atari website. Probably gonnna have to order this one through friends in the UK and get it shipped over.

OFP wins hands down. The immersion level just isn't the same in Arma and as people have said.. too many rambo type missions... plus the frustration factor of the enemy being able to spot you 200 metres away in a bush in the dark within 3 seconds of firing a silenced rifle Only other thing that really bugged me was the secondary missions.. 1st noticed it with "blow up the convoy"... many of them are just rehashes of the SP standalone missions which just feels lazy on BI's part. Aside from this.. I still love the game... but this falls heavily down to what the community produces rather than BI. I just hope Queens Gambit is an improvement on the official SP missions and campaign.

Hey.... I got married and moved from the UK to the US about 6 months ago. I was going to pre-order Queens Gambit but the only sites I know of are ebgames & amazon and its not listed, whereas its listed on all the UK sites for £11.99 release date 28th Sep.
