it's not the first, nor the last. unless we actually have an agreement with the producer, the real logos won't be used. i believe HK logo went through unnoticed on our part, but this will be rectified EDIT: this rule should affect new content, we'll see if older one needs to be changed or not. nope. it's up to the mission designer how he wants the whole independent side to behave in relation to redfor and bluefor (note i have not used opfor here) or just parts of it- 16577 replies

cannot be done since only the sun and the moon cast shadows. any other source of light would light up the entire thing, and it wouldn't achieve the tunnel/cave effect he said he wants to achieve

as far as the information goes, all current units such as omon will be absorbed. It is not certain about identity, but i would assume there won't remain as it is now, even though current identities are kept for now. For RHS, at this very moment we try to focus on external forces and less on internal ones. Even so, when the current national guard project gets into a more definite form we'll most likely follow through. edit: damn ninjas- 16577 replies

your personal opinion has been noted. note that some of the textures are getting ready for the visual update. Also, as far as our 3d artists go, we allow some artistic freedom for obvious reasons. We provide hidden selection so that everyone can feel free and create their own textures. we won't discuss the reasons why you've been banned on a public forum though. now please stop dragging this thread further down this path..same goes for you damian.- 16577 replies

weight system in arma is not based on real life units, so not sure where you got 0.2lbs from - arma's system is a mix of weight and size both combined into a single value. m107 weight oversight will be fix in the next update (already fixed in the internal build). Still, please don't report here stuff that is not directly related to RHS mods. 1. who's "we" in your sentence? 2. Hold fire button after you shoot, should break the reload anim. That said there is no way in arma to drive a manual reload with a key press (RO2 way for instance).- 16577 replies

Because it was asked so many times...no one seemed to like the mag_grip for whatever reason. Grips will come when RIS handgurds will wrong thread. heat dispersion is not a RHS feature. m107 works just fine without 3rd party addons- 16577 replies

Obviously...not much I have explained this before: in order for RHS to use Steam Workshop, it needs EVERYONE who EVER made content that is the current RHS releases to agree with SW terms. So each individual would need to agree to that, which won't happen (it needs a unanimity not a majority). There are quite a few mods that aren't on SW "legally", a lot of SW content is uploaded by someone else but the original content creator which is also against SW EULA.- 16577 replies

can you please stop requesting that addon makers renounce their IP rights so some users can find on SW? it gets old fast. If a particular guy didn't do it so far, there might be a reason for it, don't you think? -

we said before: 1. we don't have the man power to create compatibility configs for any of the other mods out there (if we would do it for one, we'd need to do it for all, it's only fair), especially since it would require intimate knowledge of how each individual feature work, possible overlaps with our own features etc. We actually don't know how these mentioned features work, since, afaik, almost none of our developer actively uses any of the mods you mentioned 2. since we don't have control over these features, we really don't see it worth spending time on things that could change in the future and break compatibility, especially considering p.1. It is hard enough to keep track with BI's patch to patch changes. 3. it would most likely require 3rd party dependency, which is something we managed to to stay away from so far (CBA) 4. however, we allow and actually encourage people like yourself that would like such compatibility to get their hands dirty and create external, 3rd party addons for this very purpose. There is just so much one could expect from a developer. If it falls outside our scope and own enjoyment, but that particular compatibility would make your happy, by all means, do create it, you don't need out permission to do it, or release it.- 16577 replies

maybe: normal's map, AS texture etc. hiddenSelections are good only for retexes. You haven't change the rvmat -
VSB2 is running RV3. i doubt DX12 would improve performance dramatically. I think the main thing that would improve, would be a drastic change in terms of how the engine loads textures and buffers them.

i cannot comment on things that i don't know. What has been said on this subject: 1. Enfussion engine is an evolution of the current RV engine, with a lot of parts being re-written. It is NOT build from scratch, it is being developed around a set of specific tasks that it needs to perform 2. New tech is suppose to be in (speculation: deffered lighting and PBR shaders) 3. That video you showed has no relation whatsoever with the scope of ArmA's francise. 4. in any case, i for one wouldn't expect to see an upgrade to the current engine anytime soon, and if so, only on the future projects, not current ones.

i am pretty sure they do have that roadmap, but not to replace but to upgrade...In any case, afaik, the new enffusion engine is being injected one piece at a time into the development of dayz (and it actually make a lot of sense).

there is no engine built from scratch, there is an update to the RV engine though, that, afaik, has nothing to do with A3 anyways
