You need the model to have a proxy in oder to be able to carry the rucks. No proxy, no joy as it is now. So all available units that don't have the said proxy won't be able to carry it. Havent tested myself, but it seems weird that not all OA units have the same this...

It is very hard to loose the cd key: 1. if it is a hard copy retail DVD, it is printed on the manual 2. if it is a downloaded version (sprocket steam), you could easily contact their support for key retrieval. And i am certain you would have it sent on mail anyhow (which you should have backed up). the conclusion is not all that nice..

not possible unless scripted version is used (and one would need all models done in all variation) due to how A2/OA models are handeled by the game engine. As it is now, you cannot have the models of the weapons, the models of the sights, GLS etc, and then swap them on the fly, via proxies or whatever It won't happen unless there is a major chance with the engine itself

no go for client side options, especially if one plays competitive PvP. Should be the same for everyone. I have faith that the recoil values have been tweaked further as per Suma reply in this very thread -

There are ways to get the model, and only the model, and not all o2 additional info, but those are not legal. so your answer: no, there is NO WAY to open it, if it is binarized

is there any chance that the Editing subforums for A2/OA get a facelift, sort of what i was trying to suggest here there are plenty of threads mistplaced, tons of questions asked in the wrong sections etc etc, mainly because: * Configs and Scripting part is taken as mission editing (i guess reading addons between brackets is too hard for some) * Map is very often taken as Mission, not terrain and so on and so forth TY

that is the ODOL format of p3d aka rapified/binarized version of it. You won't be able to use it. All A2/OA models are binarized. There are however all A1 models available in MLOD format

You are not giving enough information to receive an answer: 1. What are the formats of your models you want to convert? 2. What are the formats of your materials files? I can't answer how you can import them in 3DS Max. You can export FROM 3d max as OBJ or 3DS, both files can be imported in O2. who is YOU in your sentance? Why are you asking about permission and property rights regarding SG, SW or Generation Kill on those forums in the first place? I would contact MGM, Lucas Arts and HBO for that answer.... -

Sorry, ACE is a MOD, and while some stuff in OA might have roots in ACE (ideas etc), some features ACE has might not be on everyones taste, hence i see no point why BI should include a community made addon/mod in their core game engine. It is up to each person if he likes it or not, no one should be forced on it. Please keep post regarding ACE inside ACE thread. TY

Obviously it needs some fine tuning, but the effect is better than shooting round after round in the same exact point. Readjusting feels the way it should be More kickback and less nose up effect would be wanted i guess by everyone here.. -
I didn't say that an admin should not promote a certain gameplay style if you like. It is just that after some time, it is dead impossible to MANAGE everyone on a server, and play at the same time. Free time is limited in our world, i prefer less players, that i can play with, not tons of players that i need to keep in a leash via VON/Chat/Ban button. Than we agree that most organized games are played behind curtains, and that the public server that can be easily joined have very little chance of getting an organized game going, NOT because of the mission that is being played, but rather because of the PLAYERs. @Zipper: Not really. I am not that altruist as in spending my whole free time just for the sake of others, having the finger on the ban button, checking pings and desynk etc etc. I guess if that was to happen, there would be NO public servers in the end. OFP featured no JIP. That is in itself a big + for public organized games. I guess no one actually is. But i couldn't care less about players than can only ruin games than work with it, about players than have a hard on doing exatly the same as they are asked etc. In the end i only care about my own gaming experience, together with the community i am part of. Not more, not less.

Some 0.0 LODs missing on some FLIR rifles. Brief tested, will post a complete list of weapons affected. Might be worth for someone else checking those as well (AK74 for instance is missing first few lods)
