  4. That is true. One thing though. They can't actually incorporate addons by stealing those. All A2 projects that i make (or at least the meshes, code, scripts whatever) without using MLODs are my property, and no ones else can use them without risking a lawsuit...

PS: britney comparison made me giggle though :P really Baff, you are fighting a lost war here. No one on those forums, or at least the ones replying to this thread have enjoyed this game.. SO, with all due respect, why don't you lift this game and their developers up and high in their own forum? The real reason this thread is here, is to have some fun about a game that is to fail, no matter what. As said before, if DR wasn't released as a military simulator in the first place, and wearing OFP tag, no one would give a flying shit about a B category game. Do you happen to see any other game out there discussed the same way? physics engine is not a game engine!! Some game engines might include some sort of advanced physics engines (Havoc etc) or their own source. To be honest, i am not all that impressed by it. But then again, so called award winning game engine has never been shown in a tech demo. So...well..can't really comment on more than a few videos that show nothing more than some weather effects, some cars going around in circles and some poor collision models..

  19. Those are SCARs that have been made for ACE1, by scubaman and DaSquade, partially redone or modified for OA. It is no secret that Bi has been buying content created by this community, or have been using 3rd party developers (freelance work).
  20. How can you tell if an engine is good or not? What are you guidelines for such a statement? Previous games that used it? (dirt/DR?). I have never seen a tech demo of what the engine can actually do (you know, like the ones for crytek for instance, which supports GI) I do no agree. The engine has been designed for consoles, not for PCs. Hence its limitations. Also bear in mind that the main target for CM (and for all other big developers out there) is the consoles. There will be no fire selector, no lean, and not because the engine doesn't support some animations, but because you just don't have enough keys on a controller for all that... Wonder what those other games are? All the PC franchises have been ruined by dumbing them down so it would suit a wider audience. There are not more games being developed like they used to...Consoles are only part of the real reasons.

    I used CG script command: create a camera (i guess using exec "camera.sqs" should also work), and then assign the code(true setCamUseTi X) to radio triggers (on act), set on repeat. Works solely with the camera (well since it is a camera thing) For configs, i already posted a link on previous page, with the exception of TI 6 beeing different than in VBS2 i suppose class CfgVehicles; class Vehicle; class ViewOptics; TImodes[]={x,y}; //where x,y can be values from the list posted. IE: {0,1}

  23. That is not rendered image, it is a 2d collage that one. @Ben_S: what does Halo has to do with the tactical shooter which is what CM is calling their games? More of r6 series, Graw etc... CM can't show anu ingame footage, since that is not even done. What will most likely follow is some 3d renders (everything they showed so far is NOT a render), then a pre-rendered trailer, using anything BUT the game engine, and after pre-releases are available, maybe some close ups or weird angle screenshot. I really don't believe anything changed in their marketing scheme...
