  1. dude, you've been told that those forums have a certain layout and forum rules so that everyone FOLLOWS them. Your question doesn't belong in Complete section, it doesn't deserve a thread of its one (there is a Vopsound thread already opened), and in the end it is a question that belongs to Configs and Scripting (addons) in the Editing section I'm sorry but being new around here doesn't mean you shouldn't be following the same set of rules as everyone else... Also, after you posted in Addons Request Thread, you though it would be good to have a thread of its own? CrossPosting is not allowed
  2. there is no developer per say, it is a community project. :) all you actually need is a DH account and a PM sent to sickboy or kju (on DH)
  3. [roboVOICE] Your are currently under CONFIGS AND SCRIPTING (addons) Please click on the following link to reach your desired destination: MISSION EDITING & SCRIPTING Thank you [/roboVOICE] PS: Wolle, i am kind of sick of doing this job for you mate :). Any word about changing the names of these forums? :bounce3:
  4. Were own by some indian company until not long ago. I think even the idians have left the failboat
  5. I have held myself from commenting directly on this incident till now, although i have noted it. I personally think that the way it was handled was the right thing to do. I for once am more than happy to put a name onto the persons around here who rip/re-release and in general piss down other ppl work, just because they can. I am sure he won't be the last to do it, and i know for a fact that it's not the only or the first one either. All big mod teams are assaulted with question, requests, as well as people trying to get on the board as team testers or advisors just so they can get their hands on the files. I have seen these types while working for ACE, i will probably see more in the future, no matter what engine we talking about. Having them exposed directly like uk_force did is only beneficial for this community. Nothing more nothing less. There was no drama in his posts, in fact it was very informative, and nothing more. I hope you guys get over this hiccup as fast as possible. Good Luck
  6. great job, but this is CONFIGS AND SCRIPTING (addons) You need to go to MISSION EDITING & SCRIPTING
  7. That is something...well, that you don't see everyday... I guess we all know A2 is not perfect, but having a developer acknowledge in the most honest way a fault of the engine...You've got my respect mate
  8. Now everything comes into place: You can't really play A2 (DR is still much friendlier to components), not any other game, the reason you are always on CM forums :) Anyways, just so you know, A2 AI is dependant on CPU power. That CPU of yours can't handle all the needed cycles...

    NVGs

what is your point here? That the NVGs should pinpoint the enemy? as ryguy said already, the real life counterpart behaves very similar to the way A2 version is represented ---------- Post added at 04:36 AM ---------- Previous post was at 04:18 AM ---------- yes they do: 10k $ price tag
  10. google answers all questions
  11. Forums rules Existing Opened thread This has been covered so many times: the simple answer is NO, you won't see it in A2 default, since the engine does not support it (in a proper way). There are scripted workaround though You might want to look over this addon though: ASC - Customizable Weapon Addon
  12. You better read the forums rules quickly, and edit your post accordingly. It is not the first time for you...:o

    Arma 2 - Female Characters?

sore mate, never saw that..(i am not able to know by heart all addons released) More on the point that it can be done
  14. Looks good indeed Love the "please release" posts! I really do. If they do release in an unfinished state, you would be the first one to bitch about though. Cup of tea thing: don't like it, you don't need to grab it..

    Remove the New recoil

from forum rules There are several threads on this issue already: thread 1 thread 2 thread 3 t=101628&highlight=recoil'>thread 4 From the thread 4, you can see you are in a minority, since BI actually asked if the new recoil is better than the NO recoil a2 version
  16. contact one of the moderators directly please

    Arma 2 - Female Characters?

Well, the discussion turned from "why didn't BI do it" (where most answered have been: because most armies around the world does not) to "can it be done" (where the answer is yes, it can) Quick needed things: 1. new face mesh - same selections, same bones as man soldier 2. new body mesh - same selections, same bones as man soldier And that's it basically. I am confused to why no one even tried it so far (might be because most units are reskins, or are very much based on the soldier sample model released by BI)
  19. Yeah, the laptop one I remember the CM logo on it...might be wrong though
  20. i guess it is a weight issue. Your tank is probably too light, or too heavy. Also, you need to take into account the weight distribution, and the center of gravity.

    modding tutorials?

the subject is very wide (modding in general). Each part of the process requires another set of skills. Depending on the project you want to make, you would need a to know and use a different software. Anyways, there are some tutorials for O2 on those forums. For modelling in general (no matter what commercial software out there), there are tons of tutorials around the web. No matter what you plan to do, you need to be armed with a lot of patience for it. It is not rocket science, but it's not easy either. For modelling (in the case you never used a 3d modelling software before), i would recommend Blender since it is free, it has a lot of support and documentation available for a product that can go head to head with any other commercial big software out there (max, modo, lightwave, etc). The big plus is that there are also a set of plug-ins/scripts making it able to export the model right into O2, while doing 90% of the work outside it. I cannot really recommend O2 for anything else but basic work, since it misses a lot of the features that are standard in todays modelling packages.
