WIP British 4 Rifle Soldiers

Your problem there mate is the images are not exactly to scale, so the photograph may make the L85 look smaller than it actually is. :) -

I'm rather hoping we might see some British Infantry. :) -
Gotta agree there, infact ArmA2 has gone up in my local store's game chart. But there is some truth in the fact your average gamer is not into a soldier sim with a rather steep learning curve.

Brilliant video's mate, pity there are no subtitles. :( Still makes for good eye candy either way. ;) Always liked Russian IFVs very much a go anywhere do anything vehicle :) -
I don't know what you people are going on about, when playing CTI I've found the T-90 to be a rather good tank ingame, taking hits from an M1 and able to carry on the fight. Same with the T-72. I've not seen any issues with machine gun rounds blowing up tanks.

I think the main thing with the Harrier is that it the MoD at the time aswell as the RAF wanted nothing todo with the plane and when the USMC were interested McDonnell Douglas were able to fix the issues that were plaguing the prototypes. Hawker Siddley not having the funds to do so on its own.

Looking good stalker! The PLCE ammo pouches look a little on the small side, but other than that they are lookign good! :) -
No way the USAF will buy the Eurofighter, even if it was the best fighter in the world. Simply put its not American and buying the plane will cost American jobs. The two options they have in the short term are newbuild F-16s or F/A-18s as both planes are still in production but both designs are not suited to an air defense fighter role.

Looking good Stalker, my only comment really is the knee pads. A trivial thing really, its a very 'american' thing and other than ops in the middle east I can't think of a time when they have been used on such a scale, not in a temperate climate anyway. Anyway looking very good mate keep it up. :) -
Still pointless if the airframes are life expired, which would require new ones to be made. So if you were gonna go that far you might as well build a new one.
-
Thats a dangerous gamble, when pilots fly planes that have broken up in mid-air due to expired airframes. While I agree the F-22 is an expensive white elephant they do need something safe and reliable to fill in the gaps.
-
Problem is, most of the F-15 airframes have less than 10 years life left in them, so what are they going to build to replace them? More F-15s?, F-18s? A F-35 is not a suitable replacement for an air defence fighter.

They look awesome ABS, I've always found the way they mounted their bayonets on their vests. Could do yourself a nasty if it was not secured properly! Though it beats stabbing your privates if it was mounted the other way! ;) -
Kevlar vests are not designed to stop bullets, rather than to slow them down. A 7.62 for the most part will go straight through.

Does it still have a Kevlar insert, or is it purely a plate carrier this time around Jonny? -
Should Operation Flashpoint be repackaged and release for free?

I would think its more up to codies than anyone else. -
Still getting regular CTD's with an error message, only 5-10 minutes after the program being started. Getting an error message when it happens though, but the crash file is -NOT- being saved where it said it should be, have been unable to find the files so far. Or would of posted the details here. I'm currently running a AMD 6000+ 4GB RAM Nvidia 8800 GTX Windows XP SP3
-
Since installing the game, I've had nothing but issues. The crashes happen within 10 minutes of the game being started. When they happen is completely random so far its happened in the main menu, during gameplay and in the mission editor too. I've tried 4 different graphic's drivers including a set of 3rd party ones and even updated my mother board drivers with no effect. The 1.02 patch does seem to have done much good either i'm afraid. I knowthere has been much talk of driver instability but this just seems to be a problem with the game itself. I would post a copy of the crash report but it does not save the file where it said it would.:j: Currently using a AMD 6000, 4GB RAM and have a 8800GTX 768mb if that helps.. ITs a real pitty becuase when it does work looks amazing and is quite smooth... :(

Can't get it to work for more than 5 minutes... Keep getting CTD's. Already tried 4 different graphics drivers... More work on making this game stable is sorely needed! :( -
Little fact :), 'Burlington' is the US name for 'Chobham' armour, and the lastest version of that armour seen on the Challenger 2 and Leopard 2A6 (I think) tanks is known as 'Dorchester' :)

People who didn't buy Arma1 but OFP1 -> will you buy Arma2?
MontyVCB replied to mr.g-c's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - GENERAL
I honestly did'nt think ArmA was -that- bad as everyone said it was. Yeah it had its issues, infact the same issue that OFP had. Performance could be a little dodgy and the AI has this thing of 'spazzing out' on random. -
I never knew they it was going to replace the AK74M with the 107... Me to, I was under the impression the entire AK-100 series were export rifles.
