    yup, nice idea once we´re talking about this: i was thinking of adding JAM compatibility to the nampack. first for private use only, but if it´s ok for the the NAMpack creators, i´d publish the config.

    reporting a bug: the tonal OPFOR DSHK seems to have a screwed fire LOD. its really hard to shoot the gunner- even from behind.. plz have a look over the fire/ geometry/ whatever LOD we made this experience tonight with the normal USSSR dhsk during a coop map

    thanks for replying such a detailed statement, evis nice to hear that the dera update (eventually) turned into a mayor upgrade. are the beige desert textures going to be saturated a bit to match the current soar units? but i look most forward to the pavehawks and LB updates (chopper addict ) and i can really understand that things at BAS chilled down a bit, you just kicked out a whole new great set of units. hope a lot of guys will prepare more decent missions for this thou.

    sry for digging this thread up, moderators but i just wanted to ask how the projects are comming along and whats the mayor project beeing worked on at the moment. it´s really been quite for some time. and another question: who was that mod that got the beta models of the cancelled helo project? was it the USMC mod?

    hi seafire6 the only airport controll towers that i can think of is the one on tonal. then there´s one beeing developed by the mapfact team. but i bet there are others going to be released soon, thou.

    yup it used to happen with the resistance side bell 47. this was caused by an invalid texture aspect error, caused by some graphic cards.
  8. i´ve never experienced this before. try this: 2 waypoints *the first close before the beginning of the bridge: behavior: safe formation: column combat mode: hold fire *the second close after the end of it: same as above this always worked for me

    i wish the dap was like that it depends on the config entry "accuracy=>something" to make helos targetable for mgunners, i once red... i think the gov helos dont have the appropriate value for this. ------ just dropped by to say a big THANK YOU to all BAS members (and of course especially to nagual) for all their hard work on this great pack! its a total new gaming experience: playing as/ against untrained (hd mags) african units is really something unseen before in ofp. excellent work, BAS- team gonna see you on the BAS server in some firefight, soon

    are the "low riding" ships going to have some containers etc stored on top? and is it static or isnt it? personally i think, big moveable ships dont make that much sence. especially for boarding/ clearing missions: mostly they would anchor because the terrorists or whatever wouldn´t have the knowledge to navigate them by themselves. anyways: i really like your work, sigma. keep it up. this ship will form another cool location for seal/ specop and even SAR missions. all in all: the ofp environment gets more complex! thx for this

    hmm hard to tell, if flying with joysticks is easier. its different... just give it a try if you already have a joystick. if you get a feeling for the handling, you´ll see the difference in the result of flying a helo. here´s the script click

    aye! forgot to mention one small thing on the UH60L: could you please change the m60 sound from the original ofp mg sound to the of the JAM m60 in the update? it really sounds kinda funny seeing such a cool helo and then hearing the strange bis m60 sound.

    sweet_pup, you forgot the foxy shell casing effects for the miniguns, the smoke when firing rockets and the engine exhausts. in general, all the very nice h60s eye candy effects in a LB version ruff, you ever tried flying ofp helos with a joystick? it´s so much fun (and challenge) and you really get a different feel for the ofp aircraft. especially when using a joystick with throttle control and rudder axis: you can "easily" (after some practice) flare land them by yourself , beginning at a >80kmh speed and even fast- insert them at the rooftop of the petrovice towers. for the ai flare landings in your missions: use snypir´s fast landing script, found on OFPEC´s editors section. it´s a really powerfull script. hmmm... well how about adding an action to ai LBs like "quick insert" when you are cargo? it´d "simply" check for a LZ and activate a modified version of snypirs script.

    gnihihihi there´s no need for another map of winter nogojev or nogojev, as the are exactly the same as the original kolgujev. only textures were changed, the island topography remains the same. if you want to use a cockpit map there, just use the ones from everon (for jungle everon) malden (desert malden) or kolgujev (you know for what).

    hmmm i dont know if fast roping is the quickest way for specops to insert... especially from a LB: *you first got the get the bird to a hover *then wait until everyone has unboarded/ roped. while doing so you are a sitting duck. i made the experience, that flare landings are a saver and quicker way to insert your cargo -surely not in tight alleys, but for sure on buildings. fast roping in mp games: pilot approaches target at 80-120kmh and starts decending while constantly lowering speed as soon as the LB is < 30kmh and <10meters the cargo can "eject" from the LB btw: is the US ofp version metric too?

    -trinity -sarugao (get it! it´s just beautifull ) -jelalhabat (BETA!) -maybe skye (BETA!) -legus those are the island that i can think of. sarugao, trinity and legus run on our server, dunno which one other addon servers, like zeus, karrillion or ses. but i´ve already seen some of those islands in MP games.

    sweet jeeeezas!!! that are SOME camo schemes, you guys got there! well... i dont mind a demomission aswell. i couldn´t think of a way to implement all camo schemes and vehicle sides in one story/ mission. i think a good ol´ editor template with all neccessary code does it aswell

    hmmm kinda true some nice static ships would be nice for the upcommings seals to play at. but i dont really see a good point in adding large, moveable ships to the ofp enviroment. you know... the engine thingy...

    thx stt yes, it looks a bit blurry, especially the colorborders and the island outlines. here´s the the paa file if you want to have a look. i guess its the colours... your island .paas look like 16color images. i was trying to use a map, generated by the "topography" command, but i couldn´t open up the .emf file.
