General is for topics solely related to the computer game Operation Flashpoint, Off Topic is for topics not relating to the computer game Operation Flashpoint, that doesn't mean that pointless topics/polls can be posted in off topic simply because they are not related to the computer game Operation Flashpoint, hope that helps

And yet more info........ PCI Latency Timer. For the maximum number of Reverbs, you'll want to go into your BIOS, and find a setting called "PCI Latency Timer." Set this as high as possible--only if you have no other cards except Creamware cards and an AGP card--otherwise, set this to 64 or 128. Higher numbers mean that each PCI card is given a "longer time slice" so setting this as high as possible without any problems is best, but setting it "too" high can actually steal longer time slices if you have other cards (like a Network card) installed. It's sort of a balance. If you BIOS doesn't have this setting (most non-ASUS boards don't), then you can get access to this using a program like TweakBIOS.

Looking great, throw in a few burnt out vehicles for cover, timer script and you've got yourself the makings of a kickass Assault mission BTW please keep screenshots posted on here to less than 100kb -
The debate rages on...........and on and on and on....... Keep the personal insults out of it, calling someone a "retard" is not acceptable at all.

Back to the topic anyways.....I've downloaded all the movies, it looks like it will either be really really good and tense, or really really dull and crap It reminds me of an old Spectrum game (made by Ocean I think) where you had to escape from a German prison camp, that one was really cool, you had to turn up for roll call each day or they would come looking for you, things like that, was a real classic, can't recall the name of it though, possibly "The Great Escape" or something like that

Incompatible with what? I have no problems
-
You don't give any details about it not starting, ie HD light comes on then nothing, or logo displays then nothing etc. so it's hard to pinpoint your problem, for a start try reading this item in the FAQ to see if it applies http://www.theavonlady.org/theofpfaq/trouble/logoonly.htm

Hmm weird one, do you have the latest Herc drivers installed? http://www.powervr.com/Downloads.asp (Those are generic drivers, Herc haven't released their own version based on them yet, I use them though and Opf runs fine)

I knew Snake would turn up eventually

Oh hush XP is a damn fine OS, I've been using it for quite a while now and I love it

Perhaps this will help http://www.theavonlady.org/theofpfaq/trouble/logoonly.htm

You mention 3dfx so am I to assume you have a Voodoo card? If so XP's native drivers have no 3d support, you need to download and install the latest user made 3dfx XP drivers... Unfortunately I deleted all my 3dfx bookmarks as I no longer have a Voodoo card, Snake may have the link hopefully EDIT: Ok I found one link so far, this is a forum for peeps using 3dfx cards in XP http://go.to/3dfxp

Would this be affecting the save and load times as well? <span id='postcolor'> A GF2 in whatever form should run Opf very nicely, I could be wrong but I don't think your current gfx card has anything to do with the slow saving problem
