Forgive me for being blunt here....... "Is anyone going to boycott bis add-ons?" Fuck No I waited all my life for this game and it keeps on getting better, if I have to pay for addons I certainly don't mind, if they're quality I'll buy them, if not I won't.

I used to smoke it fairly regularly (daily) from the age of about 16-20, my own opinion is that calling it a "drug" in the same context of things like crack, speed, coke etc is ridiculous it is much less harmful than alcohol, and from my experiences there wasn't a downside to it, whereas alcohol for example can cause vomiting and hangovers (fortunately I never get those ) Dope/grass/pot/cannabis whatever you happen to call it is bascially alcohol without the bad stuff, just look at the medical uses there are for cannabis, there are people with illnesses such as MS, Leukemia, AIDS, who find that smoking/eating cannabis is the only thing that helps them ease pain, prevent nausea and increase the appetite. There are some nice simple articles about it at Infoseek which are interesting reading Finally I'd just like to make a comment about those people who's only reasoning for saying it's bad are that it leads to the use of other drugs, that IMO is total garbage, I smoked it for a few years and had absolutely no inclination whatsoever to touch any other kind of "drug", if someone is of the mindset to experiment with different drugs then it's as valid a comment to say that them taking paracetamol led them to them using other "hard" drugs.

If people are unable to speak to each other in a civil manner they will discover they're unable to use these forums any longer.

Not sure but it could be this......... Go to control panel/system/ click the "advanced" tab, then under "Startup and Recovery" click "settings" and uncheck the box "automatically restart".

As for the validity of this poll, my opinion (for whatever it's worth ) is that for once it's the perfect use of a poll. I think it's a very valid question to ask and using a poll like this is a good indicator of people's views, I'm also very encouraged to see the results so far. It's a shame that as far as I can see only OFPN, the Ofp Editing Centre and Coldwar seem to understand the decision, maybe it's an indicator of the maturity of those sites, obviously I'm surprised and a little shocked by the response of "certain" other sites but then I guess that's why I work for OFPN and not "certain" other sites Bis have given us the gamer so much and yet "people" are turning around and spitting back in their faces, some of the comments people have made about Bis both on these forums and elsewhere are nothing short of disgusting.

Please appreciate this isn't about stopping your freedom of speach, stifling your views or whatever, it's simply the fact that the forum is getting filled with thread after thread after thread about Oxygen, keep it to the threads that we leave open please. Yup that sounds like a good idea, some kind of webpage with a list of mods that have been accepted along with their webpage and contact details, that way there's a central place for us to know who's making what and also there are contact details of the mod makers for people to send suggestions, offer help etc

IMO a very childish and petulant post. Bis worked on this game for 4-5 years, putting their time, effort, blood, sweat and tears into it, bringing us the game we've waited our whole gaming lives for, they've every right to earn themselves as much money as possible out of it. Besides the fact I honestly don't believe the decision was brought about because they were thinking about the $$$'s, Opf is their baby, they don't have to give out the tools if they don't want to, if they want to try to ensure a sense of quality in any user made addons then I applaud them, they've already supported this community far more than other companies ever do. I've said it in another thread and I'll say it again for the last time, I think their decision was an excellent one, both for us and for the game as a whole. I'm already sick of downloading missions only for it to CTD because some addon or another is missing, that would get a million times worse if every tom, dick and harry was churning out addons they made.
