  1. Wouldn't this just place the crosshair in the middle of the two monitors?

    Abs

Not on Vista it wouldn't as Vista does not natively support a "spanned stretched" desktop what I am looking for is making the game able to display the map on the right monitor or any other custom view even 3rd person view on the right and the main view on the left monitor. I suppose though that if there is a software way to make one big stretched viewpoint across both monitors which is offset slightly to the left monitor allowing you to see the crosshairs then it may work.

  2. Because I see little reason to do so. I am sorry, but we are unable to support a device which is very little widespread. There is nothing going "behind", there is no exclusivity for NaturalPoint, but TrackIR installed base seems to be a lot larger that FreeTrack has, which is why we have built in support for TrackIR but not for FreeTrack. Once there will be more FreeTrack users, we can reconsider the support again.

Strange to see this quote from you Suma, if anything including full support for "ALL" head tracking devices is what would make your game more popular? So now we no there is no agreement with BIS and NP why not include the Freetrack API? If anything to make the game a big seller I would be including it if I was on the dev team.

Lets just hope Codemasters include it with their's then :p

  3. Same Bug here.... tztztzt fresh ordered Stuff is making these errors with 8GB Ram:

    [YOUTBE]bYmi0rwtlQM[/YOUTUBE]

Its a real shame because with this toxic radeon card and 4GB Ram i can set *nearly* everything to very high and it runs fluid and its sooo beautiful....

WinXP Parameter did solve the iussue but it seems to me that it runs a bit slower now and that is of course not a real solution....

I hope this will be fixe by a patch soon!

Thats something Ive had before in other games, have you tried disabling Catalyst AI?

It has to be something to do with your graphics settings as I have 8GB DDR2, and an HD3870 and its fine

  4. You know the guy that shouts in boot camp when he's been asked a question at the start. He then shouts back "I'd like to have a go at the obstacle course" blah blah. How the hell do you get him to shut up he sounds kinda dumb?

I've turned down the soiund settings but it then affects everything. I'm sure the last ArmA had sound settings for voices only???

  5. Ok well there are three things that irritate me and would make this game so much better:

    1. I miss the AH47 Chinook from the original flashpoint series, I would love to see it re-appear as a troop transport this is a must for missions.

    2. Dual Screen gaming, I have two monitors, I can use this setup in other games either to have the outside view on my 2nd or to have the map on my 2nd while I'm looking at the first person view on my main monitor.

    3. I know this is already mentioned but, there are three headtracking solutions out there. TrackIR, VRInsight, and Freetrack. I am in the freetrack camp and would like to see this support added. Put it another way it increases game sales if it is included no?

  6. I know you can add weapons into vehicles but thats not my point.

My point was I don't want to see it for a civilian vehicle, especially as I dont have or want to put weapons in it to start with.. also why should it then appear if there is nothing in the car to start with and no ammo crates even near it? There should at least be a trigger to allow it to appear if weapons are near, or a switch to turn it off from the game menu. If memory serves me correctly, I played OFP and you had to physically run up to the back of the truck / middle mouse and select rearm, there was never this green gun icon displayed when you near every vehicle in the game.

  7. that fact that it appears on media center means it has nothing to do with the game.

Worst case scenario is your graphics card is overheating or dying, you could try to give it new drivers or tone down the performance settings. Try your card in another game, chances are it will still appear.

  8. Quote[/b] ]To get rid of it, you need to return to desktop and launch ArmA again.

Sadly this is no the case, the single mission may need to be restarted as this is a continuation of what happens:

It appears that the bug saves itself into the game when reloaded, as above the mussle flas is still saved in the scope sights.
