  1. Has this been reported yet: When switching the optics mode of a rifle from scoped to non-scoped the peripheral vision is blurred. A work around is to briefly switch out from optics.
  2. Has the workshop been updated to 1.0.7 yet?
  3. I am using "left Ctrl + G" to select throwables, and "G" for throwing. This worked great before, but with todays build selecting throwables additionally triggers the throw action.
  4. Imho weapons should not become tilted to the side when deploying on tilted surfaces. This feels rather ridiculous and breaks immmersion.
  5. Really? The documentation seems to be a bit outdated. Names of config files seem to have changed, and there is no .cmd file for editing or copying the config files anymore. Is there no need for copying files to the userconfig directory anymore?
  6. Aaaah, I always knew being able to read would prove useful one day. :rolleyes: Okay, now I have added the DLC compatibility PBO. I can now find the Marksmen units under their own faction 'CSAT (Alternative)'. Is that how it is meant to be?
  7. Great work, many thanks for the efforts! Two minor issues though: - The Zafir has no ammo when using the replacement config. (I was testing the semiarid alternate version.) - There seem to be no matches for some of the CSAT unit types from the Marksmen DLC, like Heavy Gunner.
  8. This is absolutely great work. One can really feel the love and dedication spent polishing this map as soon as you start it up. Object quality and placement is superb. Lighting, clutter and terrain as well!
  9. Indeed, great work. Please keep going! You might want to consider releasing this in steps, e.g. infantry first, then different types of vehicles? This would allow your eager mission maker community to start making something WW2... ;) (I am a great fan of splitting ambitious IT projects into milestones of manageable complexity. So I am always lobbying like this to makers of WW2 mods. Simply can't wait to play a little bit of WW2 in A3. :D)

    Anyone else using MEC on dev branch? I am experiencing crashes for a while and could not yet narrow down the problem.
  11. This! The reaction to hits is still ridiculous, and for me this is one of the highest ranking immersion breakers. Imho BI should implement something like TPW's great FALL module. Sadly, TPW_FALL suffers some animation glitches, but I am confident that BI should be able to implement that more smoothly in the engine. (Oh, how I had hoped that the Marksman update would include improvements in that area, too.)

    Upvoted. That is what I was complainting about regarding AI gunners. Definitely needs a bit more attention/votes.

    And now to something completely different: After a long time I just retested a mission, which included fighting against AI MRAPs with the player in the role of AT infantry. This is still a very frustrating experience due to the extremely sharp AI spotting and its quick reaction. Even when playing in areas, which provide lots of cover and concealment, infantry is spotted and taken down by AI vehicle gunners in no time. The clumsy movement when the launcher is selected, which makes you feel like wading through a pool filled with honey, makes this even more difficult, but also more frustrating. Imho, attacking armed vehicles with infantry should definitely be challenging, but the current AI behaviour is immersion breaking.
  15. I just had to read the following line in todays change log: Added: New actions for infantry weapon switching Woaaah! You can't do that! This is breaking one of the key control paradigms, which has distinguished this series from mere shooters from its beginnings! Now I am able to press one key to select my rifle, another one for my launcher, and yet another one for my pistol? Like they do in MW and CoD and Doom and all the others? (Sorry, I had to do that ;) And many thanks for the feature. Better late than never :D)

  17. I totally agree. Not being able to change your mind while in the middle of a lengthy animation is one of the major annoyances and immersion breakers. You might want to upvote issue 8040.
  18. Aaah, thanks for the hint. Manually deleting the binding in the profile did the job!
  19. Hmm, for me the issue still persists. I tried mapping and unmapping the "close context menu" binding, but to no avail...
  20. Tried to find the 'Back' binding, but I couldn't. Where is it?
  21. Is it just me or is the right mouse button still messed up with the latest build? It still opens and closes the menu. I tried to unmap the default binding for closing the menu, but this does not help.
