I don't doubt that they can fly fairly tight circles, but I'm under the impression that when Gunships attack a target, they fly 4000ft horizontally away, at an altitude of 3000ft from their target (direct line of fire of a distance of 5000ft) and circle around it with a diameter of 10000ft ,using little more than rudder and a little bit back on the stick to maintan the turn, all whilist keeping the guns on target. Not exactly a high g monouvre for any aircraft, Even a Hercules.

Basically the airforce allready has a large knowledge base in operating fast(er) jet aircraft, the facilities to maintain the aircraft and to train the pilots. Besides the army allready has the AH-64 Apache as an air asset against enemy armour I kind of meant, why wouldn't A-10's be under the direct control of the Army, seeing as the army is more tactical than the airforce, and the operations of the A-10 affect the Army more than the Air-Force. Under my vision (in my battle commanding dreams) the Air Force would handle direct air threats (enemy aircraft and air defences) and strategical targets (CCC, Infrastructure and War Production) whilist Army assigned A-10's, operated on a sought of Direct Air Support role with freindly tanks in engaging enemy tank battalions, whilist choppers would support troop moevements and engagements. Not forgeting AC-130 gunships for support as well (Ooo what a five star general I'd make) Sure Choppers are nice , but they can't take that GAU gatling gun, or carry LGB's, CBU's or Mavericks as well as IR-AAMs all on the same loadout.

Thanks for clearing that up, its hard to understand what my grandma talks about when she says, "in my day there were 20 shillings to the pound, twelve pennies to shilling, and four farthings to the penny"

I've never had a problem with either metric or standard systems, though I don't quite know why there is some minor differeces between U.S. Standard and British Standard. Speaking Britain and wacked units of measurement, does Britain Still use Pound, Shilling, Quid e.t.c., I think quid is to pounds as bucks is to dollars, but I'm uncertain. As I've never had to deal with British Currency. I've never really understood british terminology for money. What does it mean? [Lame Joke] I like dollars cause it makes cents. [/Lame joke]

Where were you shooting at? The side, or the front? It does make a difference.

Why wasn't the A-10 be used on carriers. Beause the Navy had the A-6 Intruder, A-7 Corsair II, F-4 Phantom, A-4 Skyhawk, A-1 Skyraider and A-3 Skywarrior just to name a few that could more or less, do the same job that the A-10 does. The A-6 Intruder was the closest Naval equivalant to the A-10, and it was retired as an attack aircraft a couple of years ago in place of the F/A-18. A better question would be, why weren't A-10's, or it's lesser competitor, the A-9, ever assigned directly to the army, seeing as they're closer to being tanks on wings than anything else.

Thats very true. The Crusades for example. Thats why I'm agnostic. (Skeptical of an above one). But who cares how a religion appears to the outside world. Why teach people to hate other religions? What's it to them? Mayby they hate the diplomatic nature of a country, but that's no reason to call it upon oneself to terrorise the people of that nation. I don't want to turn this into a religious war or jihad, but exactly what gives some sheiks or preists or whatever to be given such prestigious positions, designed to preach peace and then abuse them. Surely there should be measures designed to prevent such abuse of influence. I suppose some societies are just truly mad or corrupted or don't care so long as the problems don't get pinned on them.

As I said, I'd help but with my current skills, I'd be more of a hinderance. I'm still learning more about addon making day by day, and wish to learn at my own pace before making any commitments. By the Way. I hope the mod co-operates with others and not competes with other mods. What I think Bratty was trying to say was he's willing to let you toy with his addon to any extent, so long as the correct acknowledgements are made. Most addon makers are like this, and I am suprised to see that you've been turned down or shrugged off by other makers. I'll contact you when my skills come togeather, but at the moment, thats a few months away.

Is that a Tunguska? Looks like it's on a T-80 chassis. *edit* The Tunguskas turret (if thats what it's called, I'm not good with my tank terminology)

And I totally agree. But we have the choice to listen to what we want to beleive and not to beleive. For the students of those colleges I was in reference too, they are only taught one perspective. The end result is a narrow minded terrorist. At least we have the ability to seek out truths rather than be brainwashed with lies. After all, who really listens to what FOX has to say when we know the images they send out to their viewers are twisted. Ultimately, when the media bends the truth, they create ignorant people. And ignorant people are just as much of a danger to themselves as well as others.

Either you've got fat fingers and are mashing too many keys at once, or you've got a virus. Does shift work outside OFP? Does it start Media Player when you press shift outside OFP? Does it make the Internal speaker beep when you press it? Judging by your post, being reluctant to use capital letters, you probably have a virus my freind. Good luck nuke'n the bastard.

This statement is unfortunatly, true. But lets not forget that any form of violence against another human being for whatever reason is ultimately, terrorism. A freedom fighter will emerge from the suppression of his people, and fight for his people. A terrorist on the other hand, emerges from nothing short of a racial or idealogical hatred of another people, which, in the case of the world today, the rich fund a kind of twisted education to the poor. Creating monsters who have no concious except to please their superiors by carrying out their dreams. Many religous schools located in the poorer parts of the world are guilty for this. Drumming endless hatred into young minds to create a danger to western societys. The clergy selectively preach the punishing elements of their holy scriptures, yet do not preach the peaceful passages from it. Islam is truly a peaceful religion, yet when twisted, it is more dangerous than any gun or bullet. They start kids off young, and by the time they are adults, all they know is hatred for western civilisations. Terrorist's are trained to only hate, and that element of pure hate is what pushes them to sacrifice their own lives in order to kill others. A freedom fighter is someone who would sacrifice their own life in order to save their fellow comrades. They fight for what they beleive in, not someone else's ideology. Which is precisely what a terrorist is.

Yes, I did know the RAAF used P-51's in the conflict. My grandfather was a pilot in the second world war and his old unit was in Korea. Glad to see a historically correct attitude in the mod. As I said, good luck to you. If I was any use to your mod I would gladly join, but I'm still learning the ropes about addon making. Mayby one day I'll be good enough to make quality units, and then I'd volunteer my services, but until then, there would be no point. Anyway. Good luck to yous.

I'mm interested to see what other weapons/vehicles/air_units that your mod is hoping to make. A Mig-17 has been built by Footmunch. Pretty much a twin engined Mig-15. P-51 mustangs have been built, and they were used in the conflict. Martin made a Bell-47 chopper. I.E., the MASH medivac choppers, just to name a few. To help you guys out, heres a pretty detailed list of both UN and North Korean Small arms used in the war http://www.rt66.com/~korteng/SmallArms/arms.htm#weapons Also, Armored vehicles http://www.rt66.com/~korteng/SmallArms/tanks.htm As well as aircraft:http://www.britains-smallwars.com/korea/kwaircraft.html I wish you guys all the best with your mod.

Lets not forget those navy 'inititiation' ceremonies. Interpret my comment how you like, but I'm talking about a little incident that was *gasp* caught on tape on an Royal Australian Navy ship a few years ago. And if you were wondering, no it ain't in the words of 'South Park' some BackDoor$!**s 9 special. Just an initiation ceremony where the ships garbage was pored over some new recruits............... [sarcasm] Yay, lets go join the navy![/sarcasm]

Thanks PSC. Your work is much appreciated, none the less

I manually changed the config files to those that you wrote. I Beleive When you said Russland.pac=Russ.pac, I think you meant Russland.pac=Russ01.pac. Not a biggie but thanks for getting me on the right track to change the config. BTW, I am unable to put weapons to the buggy. Was this meant to be the case? If so, those cages on the side are going to waste . Did you change this or does it work in the newer version? Thanks in advance PSC. ozanzac.

Ding, ding, ding, ding, ding. We have a winner. That would make a nice paddy wagon! (If you don't know what a paddy wagon is, that's just not cricket!) Though I have it and I think it's a bit rough on the edges.

Oohh, I can't wait for the D/L to finish. Thanks PSC

Would it be possible to make the final letter of the Squadron/Unit code a random letter. This would be great, as it would add a bit more realism to a mission where multiple spitfires are present.
-
Well I say good on them for taking the issue up in a combined effort. For too long, US and EU farmers have been insulated by governmental breaks, making it impossible for farmers from nations other than the US and EU to be competitive in the international market.
-
Oooh, Can anyone else see a Postal Van Version. I can see the Mission now. Peeved US Postal workers take hostages in a building, and then the SWAT team Van comes along and SWAT piles out the back and settles the Issue. This would be a nice addition to the Addon collection.

Looks very nice. D/Loading.

The hinged Cockpit door is meant to be Jagged. Stealth Technology.

Nothings really unique about the American Dream. Just that they consume more and sacrifice less (of themselves) to achieve it. @Schoeler, yes I know what the Marshall plan was, but that was to help Europe get on it's feet after WWII, and to resist communism. Had America returned to Isolationism after stability had been attained, there would be different views towards America today. But that's assuming the Soviets wouldn't support Communist revolutions further than the Eastern Bloc. (Highly Unlikely). I'm not saying that the problem America is in at the moment is directly it's own fault, but I am saying that America sure has a unique way of pissing people other than Americans off. Thats the American way in international diplomacy.
