Or unpleasant diversions!! Â I bought Generals recently because I thought I would like this, and it had gotten decent reviews, and for $30 I got the base game and the expansion. Â I played it through the campaing as the US - and haven't touched it since. Â What a waste of money!! Â Never even installed the expansion. Â Been having too much fun sandboxing with OFP and all the GREAT addons. Â Seems like there is at least 1 new thing each week. OFP IS THE GREATEST GAME EVER. Â <span style='font-size:8pt;line-height:100%'>The previous holder of this title for me was M1 Tank Platoon (the original, not the crappy remake)!! Â M1 stayed as a permanent resident of my HD till the hardware got too fast for the game.</span>

I never said Full Spectrum was an FPS. Â I made that comment about Far Cry. My observation about Full Spectrum is that it appears from the screen shots that the maps are all urban combat, and would not have the freedom of movement(tactics), presumably, that OFP allows. After further reading at the FSW site they state that this game is all about commanding 2 fireteams in M.O.U.T simulation.

I believe "Kentucky Windage" would be shooting a shot, seeing where it hits, and then adjusting your aimpoint appropriately. Most people don't seem to realize that all guns will behave this way, even if they have a scope (sometimes especially so) as the scope/sight is zeroed for a certain type of bullet at a certain range. If you are shooting at something more or less than the zeroed range, then you will have to apply some "Kentucky Windage" to be on target.

FarCry = FPS tunnel game. Â Looks pretty though. How about this one: Full Spectrum Warrior Hmmm...After looking at the screens from this game it seems to be all urban combat (restricted movement) type maps. DARN - everything else looks beutiful!!

Anyone else have the feeling that BAS and USMC would have a hard time working together?

A repating Trigger will NOT loop. It only "fires" once when it's conditions are met. If you make it as big as the map then it would only ever fire once. If its size were something smaller then the REPEATING param would make it "fire" each time its conditions were met. As for King Homers script, I would think you might need to put some X and Y offsets on it so the Ural doesn't try to run over top of the UAZ. Could be wrong on this one though.

We understimate the the "draw a line" command isn't very familiar to most people. "draw a line" means to click and hold on the civilian unit and drag to the west unit's leader. Â

Hmmm.....this is what I have done, and OFP get stuck at the Get Ready... screen and just sits and sits and sits and sits and then CTD. Got an error once about running out of protected resources, but usually just goes to desktop, with OFP still running in the background but not in the task list and taking up VAST amounts of memory!!! I'll have to try this with a VERY minimal selection of addons and see if it's still a problem. -
In this thread Vitapc pack 1.1 finale, By akm74 greaaat!!! it is suggested that you can assign game logics to take cargo positions. I've tried this on a couple of missions lately and can't seem to get it to work. I get a long, slow painfull CTD each time. This was tried using INQ's M113's and ORCS ZIL-131's. I'm using 1.96 beta + ECP. Has this "feature" been broken in recent patches? Can anyone else confirm that this technique works?

So to do this I would place a game logic on the map and in it's init line put this moveincargo vehicle1? Where vehicle1 is the name of the vehicle. IS there something else that would need to be done? -
IMO: The damage efects are rather "strange" , especially the black smoke column from the hood. Never did get one to be completely destroyed, but it was late and I didn't have any AT weapons. I will perform complete and exhaustive destruction tests tonight!!

It's amazing how one bad comment can start such an avalanche of replys!! All I did was politely ask about this addon. I realize takes a lot of work, and that that the makers have other more important things to do. Hell, RL is what has kept me from doing more things with OFP; several 1/2 to 2/3 finished missions and 2 models that I'll never have enough time to finish. I really do appreciate the work Klink and Bmot(Tomb) have put into this!!!

I remember these things happening also. The AI also seemed to be able to use hand grenades, which I don't see them doing anymore.
