I bought this game way back in the day, I loved the realism but it wouldnt run on my 500mHz computer too good, now that I have updated i installed it about 3 months ago, played through some of the original campaign (havent beaten it all the way through tough), played most of red hammer (again, i have ADD or something). and now halfway through Resistance. I never really learned how to attiquitly use my troops when Im commanding them. I usually just find a pack of russians, hit binoculars and try to issue orders to my troops (by hitting F2, F3, F4 etc and clicking on the moving russians) and my dude says "3, attack Soldiers" blah blah blah but that doesnt seem to effective. I am horrible at advanced unit controls. Can someone point me to a comprehensive guide on this subject, or give me a quick lesson? Im sure there are a number of hotkeys that would help me..my way seems slow and boring thank you much Nick

Ok. Can someone explain to me how to properly ambush something? In the original OPF im on the mission where you sneak up on the enemy camp in the forest, neutralize the BMPs, call for reinforcements and attack the infantry. I clear the valley no problem. But i order my guys to be silent, to crawl and to hold fire, then I order my two rocket guys to target bmp (get no response, so I try somethin else) i tell em to engage the bmps, they automaticly shoot. how do I make it so they target and get ready to fire, but dont actually do so until i order them? Its so frustrating for me, i dunno. i also notice my guys slacking off and not shooting the damn enemies that THEY call out to me...any help would be appreciated.. Thank you Nick

Wow this really helps, I think I will start over and play OPF first, then red hammer, then resistance in that order and FINISH each campaign...my impacience is sad. thanks guys, this game seems like a lot of fun, although my friends tend to mock me because this game isn't a clone of UT or Quake...screw em
