The message Iget (on startup) is 'count |#|= 0': Error Reserved variable in expression I take it the error is found somewhere in my timer or score sripts, but I'm not sure where to look. What could be causing this?

No that's not what I mean, Example: DV Chris Death logs on to a mp game. He's playing Rob in a deathmatch. Dv Chris Death is west, Rob is east. The intro shows the two players, and when the camera reaches DV Chris Death's unit a text message appears saying. "In the blue corner, representing the west: DV Chris Death. And when the camera reaches Rob's character it says "In the blue corner, representing east...it's Rob".

I deem this topic to be completely and utterly dedicated to everything but the topic. This should in effect mean (in a perfect and beautiful world) that it cannot be closed if it should stray offtopic, because the essence of the topic is every topic not related to it. In a closed logical circuit, this topic would be selfnegatory and would vanish in thin air, but what the hey.... And being in the offtopic sector of the forum, the offtopics discussed here are allowed to be just that... So if we can keep the spamming and the "up yours, snotface!" comments on the leash, this is where you can get some of that stress off your hands. All the pretty words aside, it'll probably be shut down in a couple of minutes. But it was worth a try...

Oh, and I forgot. There's a phone of death, which the players can pick up and order the civilians dead (If they prefer to be alone) This would be nice to have as an addAction command, but I don't know how to do that either. For now it just works with triggers. Anyway, that's just cosmetics, and the phone of death is just a little bit silly, but I thought it needed to be there. (It's in a remote area of the map, not easy to come by.

I have already made a map for 1 on 1. It only needs the final touches though. I can't script, but all the tough work has been done i.e. setting up zones, triggers, objects, weapons etc. It is set  in Regina (Everon). And it is a "tight city map". The two sides are equally balanced. It has spectators (civilians, 10 at the moment, can easily be altered if needed),  which are prohibited from interfering with the game. Likewise, players get penalized if they bother the spectators. There is a zone in the middle of Regina, which players can hold for extra points. There are a few tanks (no choppers - not good in small map, and a large map would be bad for just two players). Each side has Repair/Rearm/Refuel trucks as well as an ambulance. These do not respawn, and I believe it should stay that way. Adds the tactical option of taking out the enemy's support. Only official weapons and objects, so that there will be as few chrashes as possible. It is set in daytime with fair weather. It is difficult to prevent spawncamping, so that will be left to the players morale + the added points.zone will make it more attractive to head for that once you finish off your opponent. It someone can and will add the few scripts needed and correct small bugs, we're set to go. Scripts that need to be added: 1: Players recieve injury (perhaps +0.2) for killing a spectator - this already happens if they enter spectator ares via triggers. 2: The zone, getting points for each 30 seconds holding it. <span style='color:red'>Intro is now done</span> Balschoiw would you be willing?

Hey that's ok. I don't mind being called a retard, it amuses me. Anyway, if you base a society solely on capitalism, it will gradually evolve into what the US is today. And that is not what I would call a succesful endavour. Granted, capitalism as a device for controlling production and distribution works to a certain extent. Except it is higly sensible to artificial demands created via advertising, to greed, to corruption etc. etc. I wont take this discussion any further, because you people are somewhere else. We can never agree, hooray for that. The world would be boring place if we all thought the same, and at least I never resorted to namecalling.

Violence begets violence Broaden your horizon, maybe even sit down and watch one of the soon-to-be-live-broadcasted executions and see if it makes you feel good. If someone raped my 3 month old child to death, no I wouldn't want him to die, because I don't believe that will solve any of the problems leading to his killing my child, or the problems arising after that. I would not bring back my child, it would only spread more sorrow and pain. To me and to the perp's family. Closure comes from living your life, not from ending someone elses. DP does not stop crime from occuring. And the US is the best example of all. I fear the worst...

Do all you people wallowing in the mighty joy of capitalism never look at what is going on in the US? Are you so blind and oblivious to the problems caused by the "American Dream"? The "American Dream" in it's current guise is simply equal to powermongering. Whoever is better at overpowering others, have special rights and enjoy luxurious and comfortable lives, while a great deal of the populace live in poverty and despair. And to say that poor people = lazy people is called cultural rascism, and is simply a very unintelligent statement. Read a book once in a while...go talk to some of these 'lazy' people, open your eyes to the world. If you have learned nothing from history, (some of the comments here about communism sound awfully like what was heard during the Army-McCarthy hearings), maybe it's time you realise that it has a lot to teach. (Including the rise and downfall of many a powerful empire, be it communist or capitalist). The lesson that we will learn in the future is, that capitalism cannot work in RL, in the same way that communism didn't. They both fall victim to power and corruption. I can understand it will be painful for "America the great" to realise this, but you might as well prepare for it. Your country is gonna get in a worse and worse state. Consider yourself meme'd.
