I seem to vaguely remember something called Starman. Does anyone else remember?

Was it that horrible? I don't get it...

The dogs would be great for 'hunting' type missions. Say, where you'd have to track down an escaped prisoner, or yourself escape imprisonment. I'd like to hear the sound of the dogs getting close, and running like hell. With the addition of rivers (if they ever come) you could wade through it to weaken your scent. And then the glorious moment when you stumble upon an unguarded ammocrate, pick up an AK47 and blast those dogs to kingdom come. Oh, the animal-rights people would be on it like flies on a turd.

sigh...do a short search on the Forum, and you'll find a lot of topics on JIP, including the reason why it will simply never be implemented...

It's had been more than 3 days, I bitched about this a week or more ago.

This is my first post this week, because of this. As a matter of fact, this is the first time I've been able to load the Forum in 4 or 5 days. Something is seriously wrong. More people with this problem, plz post and hopefully it will be fixed.

AvonChick, what you should do is make a competition for the best screenshot. One image that says it all about OFP. You put the screen on a t-shirt, winner gets an all-expense-paid trip to Hawaii

I'll repeat some of the most annoying ones, since I take it the more people noticing these bugs will get them the attention they deserve. 1: "...is down" (for the 1000th time ) 2: Bouncing vehicles when shot at with rifles (believe this is only for unmanned vehicles...) 3: Unmanned armored vehicles moving around when they are supposed to stay still. They make short engine sounds which gives off their position, and they can move around quite alot. 4: Law/RPG/AT4 etc.. and binoculars. Impossible to switch to Binocular view when holding those weapons. You need to switch to rifle to get the binocular view. 5: Windows cursor showing, need to minimize to make it go away. Seemed to return with 1.4 (for me anyway) 6: AI instantly knowing your position when you've entered enemy vehicle. 7: Tanks crawling uphill and speeding insanely downhill. This has caused me to accidently run over friendly units who were positioned downhill "I tried to stop...but....but..". 8: Ability to run through certain walls. 9: Falling out of watch-towers, through windows etc. It it very annoying to have to worry about this when you're trying to set up a good sniping position. 10: Fall damage? Seems illogical that you can fall 10-20 feet through the air without getting damaged. And please do not implement JIP, this would turn this game into another simpleminded FPS, and not the brilliant war-sim that it is now.

And don't forget "Moonlighters", Bruce Willis' breakthrough. That was great...

Of course, once you've shot someone you change position. Unless you're being told to stay by your CO, if fortyfying a position for example. What I object to is spawncamping, though. That takes no skill, and adds nothing to the game, except higher fragcount for the sorry bastard who did it. It will take the fun out of any DM of CTF in a matter of seconds.

That screenshot took my breath away, then I saw the "VBS" in the corner...DOH! Gimme, gimme, gimme!!!!!! They absolutely have to give back to this community (and non-affiliated OFP gamers everywhere) at least some of what they are creating in VBS.

If you are using the editor upgrade, that could be the cause of it, as it is known to be a bit buggy. There's another way of adding buildings, look here

Will the Forum ever stop hanging so much?? What is the problem anyway, is it the server or is it the Ikonboard program that is just pants??
